We just returned from our vacation at Cara's condo at the Calypso and I must say we had a wonderful time. The condo was beautiful as well as the weather. The bed was so comfortable. I think i had some of the best sleep i've had in a while there. The view from the balcony was perfect! Really hated leaving. Could have stayed another month if we could afford it. We will definitely rent this room again when we come back to PCB!!

We have gone to Panama City beach to vacation for many years and can honestly say your condo is by far our favorite. It is clean, and all the amenities made us feel at home. This was a very nice condo to stay in...only disappointment was in the cleaning services. When we arrived the floor throughout the condo had not been swept or mopped. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at the beautiful beach and it's surroundings.

Is it possible that you might have checked in early - before the housekeepers had finished? I sincerely wish that you had mentioned it to me before now. We work very diligently to ensure that our guests have a wonderful experience staying with us. If someone had made me aware as soon as you arrived, I would have immediately sent the housekeeper to clean it. We have local housekeepers and repairmen ready to come right away if one of our guests finds a problem with the cleaning or if something isn't working properly. We appreciate so much your choosing to stay with us and hope to host you again on your next trip.

Panama City Beach Vacation 2010

This was our first trip to Panama City Beach. It turned out to be a wonderful vacation! The condo was perfect! It is very nice inside and the location was perfect! The 10th floor alowed us to see so many things in the ocean, dolphins, sting rays... the pool and beach were also perfect! Also, it was within walking distance to the pier and pier park. We went every night. My grandson caught a baby bull shark off the pier, that was awesome! the shops and restaraunts were great! Also, Cara recomeneded Jetti beach and shell island. we went there 2 days of our stay and loved it! Just want to add that Cara was available anytime we had questions or needed anything. She was awesome! We would definately come back again! Thank you Cara!!

The condo is very nice with a great AC (record highs). We enjoyed being close to Pier Park with great HUGE pools and clean beaches. The owners are available for questions/issues. GREAT PLACE!

Beautiful Condo

This 10th floor condo is beautiful and perfect for watching dolphins and manta rays in the clear emerald green water. The sunset is gorgeous looking west towards the pier. Pier Park is right across the road and so is the Calypso Grill (great food). The condo is beautifully decorated and has all the conveniences of home. It is conveniently located and is very quiet. From the large balcony you can relax with your morning coffee or evening drinks and listen to the ocean. You also have a great view of the fireworks shot from the Pier on Sun. night. We have stayed at the Calypso Towers several times, but this was our favorite because of the size and location of the condo.

My family, friends, & I loved our trip down to Panama City Beach, FL! The condo at the Calypso Resort was a fabulous choice for all of us. Ranging from age 24 to 55, there was something that everyone could enjoy! Whether it was relaxing & taking in a terrific view on the condo's balcony, swimming in one of the pools, or playing volleyball on the beach-everyone enjoyed their stay! The condo was clean, spacious, and already had a lot of necessities that made for a comfortable, home-like stay. Pier Park is located within walking distance and has plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities to keep you entertained! Cara was also great to work with! We hope to visit again someday!

Wow…we loved the condo. The accommodations were perfect. We enjoyed relaxing on the beach during the day and star gazing from the condo at night. We stayed during August and greatly enjoyed the condo!! It was beautiful and had a great view of the ocean and beach. The condo had everything we needed and more! The Calypso is located close to Pier Park so we only had to walk there. We will definitely stay there again.

This property is a vacationers delight; from the 10th floor beach-front view, cleanliness of the beach, two lengthy pools made for lounging, parking garage, convenience of keyless entry, luggage carts, cabana bar and friendly staff. The condo is decorated beautifully and is very well taken care of. The pier was renovated and re-opened on 07/03/09 which was an added bonus. The waves are great for body surfing and boogy boarding. Pier Park shops offers a great place to find something to eat for everyone, relax and browse in the evening after the sun goes down. Everything you need is within walking distance.

Wow, what a place! My family of 6 loved it. It is so clean and updated. The view is awesome. We new of about 20 other families that were staying at Panama Beach and I personally feel the Calypso was the best. It is in a perfect location. We usually can not wait until we get back to our own beds but the large king size bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable. Thank-you Cara for letting us stay at your place and you are truly a wonderful person to deal with. We will most definetly come back :)

The condo, its location, and its scenery were part of THE best experiences I had ever had. It was exactly like the pictures show. It was well built and absolutly well maintained. The owners came around and checked on us, and the guys and I absolutly LOVE Gale & Mike!! I plan on coming back and checking in in the near feature.

We enjoyed a two month stay in this very comfortable and well appointed unit. The resort's location is one of the best in Panama City Beach and the 10th foor is optimum, high enough but not too high. Pier Park is across the street and the new pier is right out front. We had the pleasure of meeting Cara and Paul and it was comforting to know that they really cared that your stay was a positive experience. We have no hesitation in recommending this unit to others. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay in your wonderful condo. We were there the last week in December including New Year's Day and the celebrations were awesome. The fireworks were on the beach and we had a great view from the balcony. The unit is beautiful and exceptionally well equipped. We would highly recommend this unit as a great place to stay and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It is very convenient to the new Pier Park as well as other restaurants and attractions. Again, thank you for giving us the opportunity to experience staying in your unit. We look forward to contacting you again to reserve this unit in the future.

This condo is absolutely beautiful! The view is amazing! We are a family of 6 and we had plenty of room. We had such a great time and Cara was so easy to work with. The Calypso resort itself is very family oriented. You have to eat at Scampy's if you want great seafood! Whatever you do...don't eat at Bishop's Family Buffett. It's not worth the money...unless you like frozen seafood and limp crablegs! Thank you Cara for opening up your home to us...see ya next year.

We had a great time. The weather was perfect. The beds were of heavenly comfort. Everything was just as advertised. Our view could not have been better. The tenth floor is just right. There was no "party atmosphere" here and it was clearly geared toward families. The walk to Pier Park was easy and safe-even for our 15 year old girls. Also, the location is great for a short drive to Destin (and the outlet malls)in case of rainy weather. Sharky's, Reggae J's, and Margaritaville were great places to eat. Bishops was good but not worth the cost especially if you are not a lover of crab legs. We also found that checking around on parasail rates paid off. We saved $70 dollars by going further west down the beach. We would highly recommend giving the Catrett's a call for your next vacation rental at Panama City Beach. They mailed all the information to us before the trip so we did not have to do anything but walk in the door upon arrival. There was no hassle of checking in or out. They definitely made everything very easy.

This condo had much potential. Unfortunately it was a complete disapointment. The condo had dirty carpets, dirty bathrooms, dirty refrigerator, and dirty dishes (mold in the blender). Owners seemed sincere in wanting to make it up to us and they tried but not enough to make us want to come back. Unfortunately my vacation which was suppossed to be stress free and full of happy memories was everything but that. I'm still waiting for my cleaning fee to be returned as promised.

Owner response:Unfortunately, I'm afraid there is some actual truth in the above review. We discovered that our housekeeper had sent someone in her place to clean our condo, and they did a poor job. (That person was immediately fired after this incident.) We responded immediately to our guests' phone call, arriving there within approximately 45 minutes. We cleaned the problem areas ourselves, supposedly to the guests' satisfaction. They even admitted in their review, "owners seemed sincere in wanting to make it up to us and they tried." We soon learned, however, that these particular guests would devote the rest of their stay to inspecting every inch of the condo for flaws. (Stripping the duvet covers off of the comforter looking for a stain - on the inside, checking the tops of cabinets for dust, etc.) The complaints finally ended after they allowed the teenage daughter to use a flat iron to fix her hair in our living room and lay the hot iron on our coffee table - - shattering the glass top. Even so, they continued to try and get more refunds from us - even as late as 5 months later. (You will notice that they didn't post a review until nearly a year after their stay - when we stopped answering their phone calls.) We gladly and apologetically addressed every single complaint from these guests as soon as we were made aware, and we generously compensated them for their inconvenience. That's all anyone could do. This is the only negative review we have ever received. We only live 90 minutes away, which enables us to work diligently to repair, update, and improve our condo to ensure that our guests have a wonderful experience. We have an onsite handyman for unforeseen repairs, a carpet man who comes immediately to clean any new stains, and a son who lives 20 minutes away to address any other concerns. My husband and I strive always to treat others as we wish to be treated and to make our guests feel completely at home. We'd love to have you as our guests so that you can try out our hospitality for yourselves.

Paul & Cara, The condo was beautiful!! The view from the balcony was great! We got to see dolphins and a huge manatee that cleared the water. Came for a baseball tournament, but ended up not doing so well, so we got to enjoy the condo even more! We have enjoyed our stay. We will come back!

The condo is wonderful! We sure enjoyed the balcony and watched as the dolphins swam by. My son and husband caught a king fish off the pier one early morning. What a great adventure! My daughter loved picking up shells. She netted quite a few hermit crabs and found some cool shark teeth. We definitely enjoyed the ocean, but we all got a little too much sun! We may just have to come back next year!

Just wanted to thank you for the use of your condo this past week. I failed to sign the guest book before we left but I wanted to let you know we had a wonderful time. The weather was warm and the sun was shining for several days so we were very happy! You have a beautiful place and have done an excellent job with the decorating. We did see some dolphins from the balcony!
