We stayed at this beautiful property with 5 adults and my 4 grandchildren. We had a great time and the place is as advertised. Carol the owner was very nice and responded to our questions and need promptly. There was plenty of room and we especially enjoyed the large table where all of us sat for dinner comfortably. Simply a great experiance. We plan to rent it again!!!

Owner doesn't pay deposit

On January 19, 2012 Carol Rodenhausen wrote me an email telling me that my security deposit was in the mail. After several emails back and forth, all we're excuses why she didn't send the check, including breaking her thumb and the inability to sign the check. On Feb 4, 2012, she again emailed me that the check was in the mail. Needless to say, it is Feb. 14th, and you guessed, no check yet... I have made several attempts to collect. This is fact.....

My family wanted to go somewhere different. We live in NC so we decided to go to the Poconos Mtns. Wow it's not everyday you pick the perfect place with only a few days to plan. Magnificent. Ammenities are such that you do not even have to leave once you go to the grocery store. Kayaking, canoeing, pool table, ping pong, air hockey, darts, relaxing by the fireplace. My boys want a kayak for Christmas, that is how much they enjoyed this lakefront home. Carol was very helpful in assisting us! Mother is disabled and she loved it. The lake is right out the back door and the floating dock was very beneficial for kayaking and canoeing........well organized home!...I would rent again!

What an excellent vacation rental!! The owner has anticipated your every need for a large family vacation. Our children and grandchildren enjoyed the easy access to the water, the game room and water craft. Attention to detail in timely follow through is the owner's forte in getting you ready to check in and check out. We would highly recommend this property.

Perfect house for our family reunion

Our family has enjoyed two years at this lovely home. We love the fact that it is on the lake and offers boats so we can enjoy lake activities. We love that it has a backyard so our little grandchildren can play and we can sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets. We loved the comforts in the home which is so well equipped (we especially appreciated the second refrigerator and this year the inflatable bounce house for our 4 year old!) We found the owner very accommodating and easy to work with. We would highly recommend this home for families with young children.

Great place for a group outing

We had a group of 10 guys for a weekend, and had a great time! Being right on the lake was awesome, the views were fantastic, and the house was amazing. Plenty of room, and lots to do! The owner, Carol, was super-helpful, and the directions were easy to follow. Great time!

Grandkids loved the place!

We had a "family vacation" at the house and what a good time we all had. The grandkids just loved kayaking and swimming in the lake. When the lake is in your front yard it just makes it that much better. The house is beautiful and I guarantee you we'll rent the place again. Didn't catch any fish, but who cares? Carol (owner) was helpful as all get out. I'm telling all my relatives and friends to consider renting this beautiful home.

A Week in Paradise

What a wonderful house to enjoy as you vacation in the Poconos. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and considerate, the house is just lovely and perfect for our family reunion, and the location of the home could not have been any better...! Being able to enjoy the view of the lake day or night, sunrise and sunset, is such a perk when staying in the mountains; and being able to go out your back door and kayak, canoe, sunbathe or feed the ducks is the ultimate experience. Not to mention that the beach is only a few steps away from your door. This house was perfect for young and old alike -- while some people sat on the deck grilling, or in the enclosed porch relaxing, others could be in the spacious basement playing ping pong or other games, watching the big screen TV, or just vegging out. We highly recommend to anyone looking for a Pocono experience that they check out this beauty. Homes like this are few and far between. Thanks to the owners for sharing their little piece of paradise with us! js

Very relaxing vacation

We went right before 4th of July and had a great time. The house was great, very spacious!! We had 2 families with 3 kids and everyone was very comfy. It was nice how the kid rooms were away from the 2 adult bedrooms and the basement was awesome. Always something to do... The deck out back was our hang out every night. Using the boats kept everyone busy... the lake itself seemed very clean and our kids loved swimming around right out back while the guys fished from the dock. The driveway, not bad at all. We had a very nice time, it was perfect for 2 families with kids.... The homeowners were so easy to work with, very nice people.... Thank you Thank you!!! J & K and families

Excellent Rental

We spent 3 amazing days at this Arrowhead Lake house and cannot even put into words what a great time we had. Everything about this house is just perfect. It is very clean, comfortable and has everything you need. There is plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is very well supplied for preparing and serving all kinds of meals.The view from the deck is breathtaking. And if you like fishing that's the right place for you. On top of all the great attributes of this house, the owner -Ms.Carol is incredible. She is so friendly,easy to talk,cooperative and very helpful. We highly recommend this house to anyone who wants a getaway. Thanks again Carol !

Still waiting for Security Deposit - 3 weeks later!

Bit of a hassle for a weekend's stay - 3 weeks later - no security deposit returned yet! Parking is tricky - one guest experienced a flat tire on the way home due to falling off pavement into rut while trying to back out up steep curved drive.

Owner response:We are sad to hear that staying at our house was a hassle. We forward all kinds of information to our renters so that you can have as stress-free a get away as possible. And when there are special situations, we have offered to work with you and sometimes compromise for special situations so that the stay could be enjoyable. The security deposits are returned within 30 days of check-out (as in this case) as per the contract. Hopefully we can receive some suggestions to make this easier in the future for you.
