Casa de Allegra has the perfect 3/4 acre cul-de-sac location just off I-5 in South Oceanside and minutes to downtown Carlsbad Village! We are centrally located with short drive times to the San Diego Wild Animal Park (30 minutes), Legoland (8 minutes), San Diego Zoo (35 minutes), Sea World (30 minutes), Disneyland (45 minutes), and Knotts Berry Farm (55 minutes)! Have an RV? Park it in our long driveway and hook up! We’re close to everything you could need on vacation. Walk to restaurants, grocery store, and shopping. The Pacific Ocean is only one mile away! Walk, drive or bike--we have two adult bikes and two children’s bikes for your use! We also offer six beach chairs, four Boogie boards, a cooler, and lots of beach towels for a fun day at the beach!
But who needs the beach when you have a backyard like this to hang out in? Custom putting green, gigantic grassy play area for kids with double tower play fort, swings and trampoline! Tropical pool with 10-foot Shamu shelf, waterfalls and hotel-sized Jacuzzi, and it's gated so your little ones will be safe! Chaise lounges and umbrellas for your sunbathing pleasure! Outdoor living room with huge gas fireplace, cable TV, comfortable sofa, chairs and luxurious dining table/area for 10+ guests overlooking pool make this an entertainer's delight! If that's not enough, enjoy cooking your meals in the outdoor kitchen equipped with top-of-the-line gas barbecue, two side burners, sink/wet bar, refrigerator and lots of prep space! Our two-story house offers 3,000 square feet of living space with hardwood floors, maple cabinetry and an open floor plan perfect for any family. The home features five beautifully appointed bedrooms and three bathrooms. Each room has been decorated with a theme to make your trip a true adventure! On the second floor, the Pirate and Princess rooms offer two twin beds each, the Aloha Room has a double bed, and these rooms share a spacious bathroon with double sink and separate toilet and shower/tub. Also, on the second floor, the Master Suite has a luxurious cal-king bed, and adjoining bathroom with jacuzzi tub! The room with the queen bed is on the first floor with a bathroom close by. Each room offers a TV and walk-in closet!
The gourmet kitchen includes all the utensils, cookware and place settings needed for 12 people. Our family-sized breakfast "nook" seats 8 comfortably and overlooks the lushly landscaped backyard! Family room has an entertainment center featuring a 50-inch plasma screen mounted over the fireplace, with digital cable, HDTV, DVD, VCR and surround sound stereo, and comfy denim sofas and chairs for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing or surfing! We offer wireless internet connection and unlimited local and long distance calls within the US.

HOW FAR TO BEACH? 1 mile to Cassidy Street Beach! You can walk or drive directly west to the public access at Cassidy Street. Cassidy street is the nearest cross street to Casa de Allegra! This is a wonderful beach for families, no rocks - plenty of sand and lots of public parking! Oceanside Pier and Carlsbad Beaches are about 2 miles away.
WHAT GOLF COURSES ARE CLOSE BY? Four Season Aviara Resort Golf Club - 10 minutes, The Crossings at Carlsbad - 10 minutes, Encinitas Ranch Golf Club - 15 minutes, La Costa Resort - 15 minutes, Torrey Pines Golf Course - 30 minutes!
HOW FAR TO GROCERY STORE? Just 6 houses down the street there is a private fire lane which provides pedestrian access to a shopping center which includes Stater Brothers, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Cost Plus, Sports Authority and more!

Great house in which all and particularly children would be happy spending their time 24/7 on the property. Outside spectacular. This was a special birthday celebration for us with all children and grandchildren in attendance. Would do again.

This house was everything you could ask for in a vacation rental. The owners thought of everything...it was as if they set it up as their own home with everything they may have needed or wanted and then just gave you the key...Having the pool and playground was perfect for the kids...and the five minute walk to the store or mile drive to a lovely beach was perfect...There was plenty of room for our 3 families and we appreciated the owners going above and beyond what most rentals offer. I would love to stay here again...too bad it wasn't a bit cheaper....but if you have the $, so worth it... Thanks for a great vaction. Stephanie, Wa. Our 4-year-old grandson requested a vacation with sand. So that's when I began looking for a house near the beach in southern California. Casa de Allegra looked to be the best - and it was!! We had wonderful timel. The home is beautiful, the yard is heavenly - a true oasis. There were eight of us - two sets of grandparents, mom and dad and two young boys. The boys loved the fort and the trampoline. The pool was a hit one afternoon - unfortunately it was just too cool to swim much while we were there. The house has lots of windows from the kitchen/family room area so we all enjoyed the beautiful backyard view while cooking/eating inside. Every evening after dark, we turned on the outdoor fireplace, sat around the fire and heated up chocolate chip cookies over the flame and added a dip of ice cream and talked about our day and all the fun we had. We STRONGLY recommend Casa de Allegra. Clean, beautiful home with accommodating landlords. BTW, it's only a few minutes from Legoland which is perfect for young children. We also enjoyed the nearby beach with all that sand more than once! Thanks Carrie and Brad for sharing your home - even more beautiful than the photographs.

The house is 10/10. The backyard is 20/10. There are so many things that they don't tell you in the ad that make the trip so much better - from the dedicated playroom full of toys and books for the kids, to the zippy cups, bibs and lockable pool area. It was the perfect choice for us to take our family with young children to. It is very conveniently located - about 1 minute to the interstate and a 2 minute walk to a shopping centre. The house was pristine and the owners are very easy to work with and helpful. We'll be back as long as it remains a rental.

Our family including our daughters, sons-in-law and 3 grandchildren (total 9) stayed at the Casa de Allegra for a week and we all experienced a fabulous time. The facilities were excellent with plenty of activities for the children and adults to do. The house is located in a quiet area and is within walking distance of a shopping mall. It is also within a short driving distance of Legoland, and San Diego. We all enjoyed our experience here and highly recommend the facility to others.

Probably the most well equipped home we have rented. The home is especially good for families with small children, plenty of activities for the whole family. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the great outdoor areas.

This was our second year at Casa De Allegra, and we enjoyed ourselves every bit as much as the first. It really is a special property - the owners (who are incredibly nice and helpful) have thought of everything. The backyard is full of things for the whole family to enjoy - a great pool, a wonderful outdoor eating area, a fireplace for hanging out in the evenings. Not to mention the swingset, the trampoline and the putting green. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. There is so much for the kids to do that we, as parents, actually got to relax!!! There is lots of fun stuff nearby - just minutes to Legoland, and not far from Sea World, the zoo, the wild animal park, the beach. But, my favorite thing about this house is that you never have to leave to have a good time. It is a great place for a family reunion, where you can really just enjoy everyone's company in a beautiful space with lots of fun things to do.

We stayed at Casa de Allegra in July 2010 with family ages 9 months to 70 years old. It was fantastic! The pool area, spa, outdoor BBQ and living area make you feel like you are at a resort. It was perfect for kids. Our daughter was entertained all week by a play room FULL of toys! We flew in, so were happy that they had pool and beach toys, high chairs, beach towels, bikes, coolers -- anything you could want for a vacation with kids. The owners are very responsive and even helped refer us for an unexpected trip to the pediatrician while we were there. It's a residential neighborhood, but close enough to the beach and other attractions. This makes a great "home base" for a vacation in San Diego/Carlsbad. We hope to stay there again some day!
