Nice. Simple. Good Value. Great Location.

Our family of four stayed in this apartment for a week in March. Location couldn't be better. Very easy walk to many of Rome's main attractions. Quite simply furnished but good value for the money. Two important things to know... first the mattress in the bedroom is not just firm...it is HARD. Didn't bother us too much as we were dead tired at night and not too picky but we really would have preferred a better bed. Last...the noise level from the street is very loud in the mornings and quite early so you can plan on waking up at about 6AM on weekdays. Again, our kids are deep sleepers so it didnt' bother them but my husband and I found it annoying. Other than these two things, we really liked the apartment and Alessia and the caretaker were very accomdating.

My family stayed here back in January. The location is perfect espeically if you like to visit Ancient Rome. The apartment is very clean and comfortly housed the 4 of us. Their is a market next door to the property which made it easy to stock up with snacks, drinks, etc. Alessia is an awesome host and arranged transportation and a Vatican guide for our group. Try to book Daniella as your historic guide - she is great!

The listing description is accurate: the location is absolutely wonderful. The photos reflect the rental 's appearance. The property was clean and well equipped. The master bed was a bit hard. I would really recommend this property.

Location, location

The best things about this apartment are its spaciousness, big windows and especially its location -- right in the center of things. It's easy to see the famous sights, find good restaurants and literally shop till you drop. There is plenty of storage space for your belongings and the bathroom is large and airy. Also, there's a good heating system and plenty of hot water. With a change of furnishings, it would easily be a five-star place. But the bed is REALLY hard and the furnishings are rather tacky. For example, the shower curtain drags in the water (very annoying), and the sink has a little Velcro'ed skirt that keeps falling loose. The base of the sofa is broken, and most of the furniture looks like it came from a thrift store. Just a little fix-up could make it a classy place. All in all, staying here was a good experience. Even though our backs hurt from the bed, we did enjoy our stay.

November stay

Guest: traveler47 (Bay Area, CA)
Date of Stay: 11/04/10 Review Submitted: 12/05/10

We stayed here in November of this year. I should have paid more attention to the reviews about the morning noise from the pallet jacks. I found it much more objectionable than others did. The workers were there every morning, early, and the noise was impossible to sleep through. Since we came from the west coast of the US, the time difference was great for us and we found it hard to ease into the local time zone with our sleep so disrupted. Also, the bed is really hard and the "antique" furniture that looks good in the photos is really pretty rickety. On the plus side, it's a good location -- you can walk to just about everything. I just would have preferred an apartment that was a quiet refuge after a day of sightseeing, and this one was not it.

The place was wonderfully located by the Spanish Steps and other great places. Lots of restaurants, coffee houses and the grocery store is virtually next door. Having kids, made this great! There were only 2 items worth noted, which the previous reviewer noted, and we read it before booking, and decided to stay anyway. 1) We did experience the noise from the pallet jacks for the grocery store early in the morning and 2) the bed is unusally firm for the bedroom. However we would stay again. The air conditioning was great, good little kitchen and a door just outside the kitchen was nice to relax. Alessi was awesome and had drivers pick us up and drop us off at the airport. She also provided many enjoyable places to visit, was always available, had great books there, and a use of a local cell phone was very unexpected and great!

The location of this apartment is wonderful and all of the arrangements by the English speaking manager – Alessia were great and done exactly as promised. From the driver waiting for us at the airport, arrangements for a private car for a side trip to Pompeii, and our wonderful guide for the Vatican and Ancient Rome everything worked out very well. The noise from the electrically powered pallet jack rolling down the street can be a bit loud when the workers are delivering goods to the supermarket on early weekday mornings but it is a minor nuisance. As was the extremely firm queen size mattress in the bedroom. While these uncomfortable issues are worth mentioning they certainly did not keep our family of four from sleeping in after long days of seeing all of the important attractions by foot from this ideally situated home base. It is a lovely setting and we would recommend it highly.

This beautiful and spacious apartment is in the heart of Rome and almost everything is in easy walking distance. We loved the large windows because they let you feel the pulse of Rome! The cafe downstairs was a great place for morning coffee. Toni and Eleonora did everything possible to make our time in Rome special and it was! We hope to return--soon! Thanks Toni!

If you like the hustle and bustle of a big city then this apartment would be perfect for you: it's in the heart of Rome where life never stops. It's only 3 min. from the Spanish Steps,8 min. from the Villa Borghese Park, 10 min. from the Fontana di Trevi, 15 min. from the Pantheon, in one word: just bring your walking shoes! Also, the owner of the apartment Eleonora and her friend Toni will do anything to make sure you have everything you need to make your stay memorable.

We have just completed 2 months at this apartment and we feel like we are leaving home. It is the BEST location in all of Rome and we plan to return. The best part of the apartment is Toni and Eleanora. We have truly made friends for life and they were the best tour guides we have ever had. We would recommend this apartment to anyone. Thank you Toni. TONI IS FIRST CLASS AS IS HIS ENGLISH. Ciao Ciao
