Jewel of the North - Invaluable Peace & Serenity!
Year Purchased: 1994
Why the Owner Chose Eagle River
My parents took me to the Northwoods as a child. I have fond memories of fishing, swimming, sitting by the camp fire, hunting and hiking. I've never lost my love for the Northwoods. When you arrive and smell the pine air, see the eagles flying overhead and experience the wildlife and purity that is this pristine wilderness, you'll know you've arrived at a very different, truly unique kind of place.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The peace and serenity are exceptional. The stars at night - especially the milky way - absolutely breathtaking. The warm days and cool nights, the crystal clear water, the pine air, the eagles overhead and the fox that runs through the yard, the many deer that saunter by to drink at the lake, all this makes this place spectacularly beautiful, truly magical, and totally enchanting. You'll never forget it.
Owner's Map of Eagle River
I'm an attorney in Birmingham, Alabama. I've been a pilot for many years, so for me the flight to the northwoods takes about as long as driving from Milwaukee.

We just finished our week at your beautiful lake home and it was everything that you promised. Our entire family agreed that it was a great vacation home for us, and the property was beautiful. We were glad to be there instead of Gulf Shores. The weather was perfect..we are sooooo tired of 100 degree days and 90 degree nights. The boat was awesome and we had no problems with it...caught almost 50 fish. My son saw a bear a few miles from your place. I watched and watched, but never saw one....bummer...lol. We saw several deer, eagles, a falcon, and the usual ....but I really wanted to see a bear. We were usually the only ones on the lake which was awesome. We spent most of our time fishing and swimming. The beach was perfect for the little ones. My grandson has it all figure out. He will trade his house for yours, and I can come and see them all of the time.....he's 4. How do you feel about St.Louis? Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. Our vacation was perfect. God bless you.
Owner response:It warms our hearts to get feedback that our guests truly enjoyed their stay at our Lodge.

The listings is completely accurate, and the property kept up like a private home. The photos were accurate and the owners always ready to accomodate. I highly recommend the lodge. The lodge was filled with all the amenities, and the setting was perfect! The lake was cool, large, clear and peaceful. Total privacy with all the luxuries! Spacious, fully equipped. The spacious deck, the huge yard, the full view of the lake, private beach, fire places inside and out, cathedral cieling, top notch furnishings, were all we could hope for. In the area there are MORE lakes, parks everywhere, small towns with quaint restaurants and all that the UP offers without being too isolated. Great road access to and from. The privacy from neighbors can't be matched. The lot sizes and dense woods are perfectly balanced with a great yard for other activities and a sunny, pleasant atmosphere.

The lodge was everything Neil said it was and more. Check-in and check-out could not have been easier. Very peaceful and quiet. It felt like we were the only ones on the lake. I give the experience two thumbs up!

We spent a wonderful week with our three sons and their families...our first time together in four years. The lodge was a great place for us! Wow! Fantastic accommodations! The beach was super for the kids (seven grandchildren), the lake was just perfect for our pontoon and tubing! We even caught enough fish to have a meal for all fifteen of us!!! Thanks again for allowing us to use your home....we were more than comfortable. Plans are to repeat the experience...maybe even next year!
