Kahaluu Bay is considered, by many, to be the best snorkeling beach in Hawaii!!! Just imagine yourself relaxing on this top floor condo's lanai balcony, overlooking the palm trees, family beach & snorkeling bay that is just steps from this 15 unit complex. For the more adventurous, Kahaluu also has surfing, with a premier surf school right across the street.
After a morning snorkel in this calm, shallow bay (where you will see an awesome variety of colorful tropical fish, several Green Sea Turtles, and a beautiful array of coral), take a swim and sun bath by the lovely pool that is immediately below your condo!
After a day of playing in the sun, shopping or touring, come back to this spacious, 1200 square foot tropical retreat for a laid back barbeque dinner and a spectacular sunset, the highlight of every evening! Or venture out to one of several wonderful restaurants and sunset venues in the area. (Twelve turtles sleep on a lava rock in front of the hotel open air bar, just a short block away, every evening!)
Hawaii is famous for its Aloha Spirit. We look forward to sharing some of our Aloha with you! We're just a click away...

Hi Nancy, Our family had the most wonderful vacation experience! The condo was beautiful, had everything we needed and the view was spectacular. I've never been more comfortable in a vacation rental. We will definately be back, maybe this summer! Until then-

We stayed in this condo for 10 days at the end of July, and would highly recommend it! The condo is large, roomy, and very clean, and the amenities of having two bathrooms (one for teen girls, one for us as parents) and a washer/dryer in the unit was just what the doctor ordered. The ocean view, the pool, and being a half-block from the beach soothed all our souls, and the fact that significant Hawaiian cultural sites are just a walk away was impressive. We would highly recommend this unit, and the owners were nice and very easy to work with. Although the unit did not have AC we did not really need it because of the ocean breezes.

My husband, myself, and our friends stayed at this unit - July 3-10,2011. This was our first time to Hawaii. The unit itself is well appointed and tastefully decorated and very clean. The plan was excellent having the kitchen and living areas facing the magnificent ocean view. The deck is large and we used it for breakfast every morning. Each of the bedrooms has their own bathroom off to the side. If two couples are going; the only downside is that one bedroom has twin beds. The pool area is clean and offers a BBQ, table and chairs, sinks, and washrooms. Laundry facilities are in-suite. There are starter supplies of most household items. All the units face the beach and have a wall of patio door and you can open them, use the entry screen door and you get a lovely breeze gong through the unit. There are fans in the bedrooms. As advertised, the building is across from the best snorkeling beach. The water is clear and you can wade and explore. You should wear some sort of water shoe as the rocks are rough if you slip and it is just more comfortable. There are lawn chairs, beachmats, and boogie boards in the storage area in the garage. There is also a grocery store nearby, a hotel across the road which offered some Hawaiian culture like language and lei marking for any one - you did not have to stay at the hotel. There was also a Farmer's Market on Wednesday - worth attending. A vehicle is a must to do anything. We had breakfast at the condo and ate the rest of our meals out in the Kona area on Alii Drive. We visited some beaches along Alii Drive and well as further up the coast such as Kua Bay and Hapuna Beach. We also did the Volcanoes National Park. We tried to do a Helicopter Tour; however, the weather did not cooperate. We will do that next time. We would recommend this to anyone with no hesitation and will certainly stay here again ourselves. The view is gorgeous - morning, noon, and night.

Very well appointed condo. Everything you need. The condo is on the third floor (there is a elevator) which has a fantastic view of the ocean. One block and you are at a decent snorkling beach and you probably see a turtle. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona yet the downtown is only a few minutes away. We thorughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

April 2007-we visited four islands. We stayed in condos on Maui, Kauai, and Hawaii, and this one was the best by far. Very spacious and very comfortable. There were six of us in the condo and we had plenty of room. The views were beautiful, the best snorkeling is just steps away, and it's so close to shopping, restaurants, and amenities. The neighbors are lovely, too. The condo was well taken care of, nicely decorated, and spotless. Thanks for a great time!

This is the perfect place to stay in Kona. My husband and I give it a A+++ rating and two thumbs up! In addition to its proximity to Kahaluu Bay and other Big Island attractions, it is a 5 minute drive to the supermarket, shops and restaurants. The condo is large, well equipped and spotless. It even has a washer and dryer. Ceiling fans in every room bring the cool ocean breezes into your penthouse home. The view of the bay and sunset from the lanai is an added treat as is the reserved, covered parking. Perfect for a couple or a family. We will definitely stay there again.
