Parkside Escape is one of the very few cabins on property which actually adjoins the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Located in prestigious Chalet Village, Parkside Escape is just a five minute drive from Ober Gatlinburgs ski slopes, minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, and a short twenty minute drive from Pigeon Forge.
While taking advantage of Parkside Escape's private, high-altitude setting, however, guests quickly forget the proximity of both cities. The perimeter Park Trail is literally twenty-five feet away from the back porch, allowing guests easy access to the beauty of the Park. For our less adventurous guests, our cabin features 1200 sq ft. of covered deck space, perfect for entertaining, enjoying the mountain views, or simply relaxing in the hot tub.
Parkside Escape is tastefully decorated in antiques, and features only the highest quality furnishings. The large master bath includes a custom-crafted sauna and a slate shower with dual showerheads. The bedroom includes the highest quality mattress and Ralph Lauren linens. A sleeper sofa allows this cabin to accommodate four people overnight without being cramped or uncomfortable.
The kitchen is fully equiped with Calphalon cookware, and along with the dining room, provides a spacious area for guests to entertain. Guests may choose to take advantage of the slate pool table or simply gather around the gas fireplace and enjoy our extensive in-house video and dvd collection.
Whether taking advantage of Parkside Escape's privacy and luxury for a romantic getaway, or entertaining your favorite skiing partners, we believe our cabin will provide guests with the perfect access to the beauty and excitement of the Great Smoky Mountains.

This cabin was great! Had everything you could want or need. Wonderfully decorated! Owner spared no expense on this one. Loved the pool table being downstairs in the main living area. Great wraparound porch! The driveway was a little tricky getting into, especially if you have a very large vehicle, but, otherwise, beautiful cabin and grounds and very, very clean.Did you find this review helpful? At least the day we arrived. It was so nice to have a home we could sit out under the huge porch and just enjoy the smells and outdoors. It was luckily mild weather and we all got to sit out for a while. We REALLY liked hiking. My son and his friend spent hours (with their cell phones on them) hiking around the National Park, and this home was right on it! The location was great and everything was clean. The sauna was enjoyable after m wie and I took a long hike ourselves. I would recommend this cabin!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This cabin was very quiet, clean, and nice. I really enjoyed my stay and plan on visiting again next year. The only problem I encountered was entering the driveway not knowing that you had to enter the cabin from the topside of the hill.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Cabin was nicely furnished, has modest house wares, however make sure you bring trash bags, dish detergent, toilet paper as this cabin does not supply you with anything, not even hangers in the closet to hang clothes. Dry Sauna was broken and we were not told before arriving and the upstairs sink would only produce a dripping faucet, we had to wash our face and brush our teeth in the downstairs bath. The cabin was not clean, floors were very dirty; I was cooking and dripped something on the kitchen floor so I wet a paper towel to immediately wipe up and it was black with dirt. The king bed was like sleeping on the floor, hard as a rock. If you use the fireplace ALL the heat rises to the second floor and you sweat upstairs and freeze downstairs. The hot tub outside does not get that hot, more like warm. The driveway is very steep and narrow with NO lighting to guide you up the steep curvy hill. The porch was nice, but I rate this cabin a 3 star. Would NOT rent this cabin again and in fact we checked out and found a beautiful 2br, 2ba and extremely clean upscale cabin called Magical Moments only minutes from downtown with great parking and very private and wonderful views. We will return to Gatlinburg and book Magical Moments AGAIN. My sister rented another cabin with this management company and found RAT POOP in downstairs BED. We have photos for proof.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 16/16

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon the end of May. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back! There was so much to do in the surrounding area, but we found that we enjoyed the atmosphere of the cabin so much that our best memories are of being there. Everything looked brand new and it was clean and comfortable. We really loved everything about it!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

We spent the week of Thanksgiving in Parkside Escape and couldn't have been more pleased with this cabin. From the e-mail transactions with Diana through our week long stay everything could not have went smoother. Everything listed here for this cabin is accurate and you really have to see it to apprecaite that fact. We needed nothing except a trip to Gatlinburg for groceries and were able to cook our Thanksgiving dinner as though we were at home. The cabin was very, very clean unlike previous experiences we have had with other places. We were a little worried after reading the reviews about getting into and up and down the driveway as we drive a larger vehicle, but we navigated it with ease. The turn around up the hill comes in handy though as it is nearly impossible to make a right turn out of the driveway. Once you have found the cabin all roads up and down to it were easy to navigate and it was a short 5 minute drive down to Gatlinburg proper. The weather was fantastic the week we were there with temps in the 60's and 70's at times so no complaints for this late in November. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to others. The one minor problem we had with the outdoors hot tub was handled in less than a couple hours and without incident. Once again, what a GREAT, GREAT place to stay in Gatlinburg. It would be hard for me to think ther can be anything nicer in the area to stay in.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this particular cabin. It is secluded and very nice for couples looking to get away from the stress of daily life. The cabin is very clean and met our very high expectations for a weekend getaway. Every aspect of the cabin was presented accurately in the property information. Here are some of the amenities we particularly enjoy: large modern shower, lovely whirlpool tub, sauna, hot tub on the deck and grill on the deck. We have enjoyed the little mexican restaurant on the way down the hill. The food is delicious! It came in handy on the nights we didn't want to make the trip back to Gatlinburg proper. We are extremely "picky" and we found this cabin everything we hoped it would be. You can't go wrong with this one.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This cabin was more than I expected. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Its close to town where you can shop or eat. Plenty of restaurants, fast foods, or supermarket, what ever you prefer. First time driving seemed tricky , going up the mountain and steep narrow driveway. But once you get to cabin all that is forgotten. I had the opportunity to photograph wildlife right from the porch. That was my reason for vacationing in TN, GSMNP, I wasn't disappointed. Cant wait to visit this cabin again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing.

This cabin was everything I wanted for a smoky mountain break from the real world, & we will go back. Before I gush I must admit that I've always been a little wary of a Gatlinburg getaway. Then upon coming across what seemed like an endless number of cabins to rent, I thought maybe that was a sign. For some reason though, I kept coming back to this property, & with some hesitation I decided to take the plunge. I did my best to lower my wife's expectations just in case the pictures were deceiving etc...Boy was I wrong. This is a beautiful cabin, well-appropriated, & my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We went into Gatlinburg one day for a few hours, & couldn't wait to get back to the cabin to relax. Its setting is so serene. The neighbors are close enough if you need them, but far enough away to be able to wake up early & strum the guitar on the awesome porch swing and take in the beauty of the smokies. Our puppy loved it, & we couldn't help but think that the next time we need a getaway to relax in fantastic accommodations, we'll come back here. If it's just the two of you & maybe a kiddo or two on the pullout couch downstairs, you will not be disappointed in the size of the property & the open feel of the floorplan. We cooked most of the nights we were there, & though we brought some of our own gear, we could've gotten by just fine with what was there. The bed was plenty comfy, and the cabin is well air-conditioned and has smartly placed ceiling fans as well. We've been all over the world, & for the money, to have this much space, (not to mention stainless appliances, a cozy living room with a fireplace, movies, satellite TV, stereo, pool table, extraordinarily large master suite, hot tub, wrap around porch, jacuzzi tub, sauna, large shower, etc...) you just can't beat it. Lastly, I was amazed at how smoothly everything went with the property management company. They were cordial, responded quickly to my inquiry, & the directions and instructions were clear and easy to follow. Also, if you feel guilty after loads of carmel corn, ice cream, & fudge from in town, take a quick jog up to the turnaround (where you will likely need to turn your car around before coming back to the driveway), & then run up and down the driveway a few times, & you'll feel like you got all the workout you'll ever need while on vacation. In short, we loved this cabin, & as I said, we will be back. I recommend this property with no reservations.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.
