All in all a pretty nice place to stay. Beautiful view, spacious, great amenities. Bill was a great landlord and helped us when we needed help. The only problem was that it could have been cleaner - i.e. "stuff" left stuck to the kitchen counter and refrigerator had some kind of sticky goo melted in it. Also the floors needed sweeping/mopping. Would have been nice to have cleaning supplies.

Great vacation house

Thanks for a great rental experience. Bill was super helpful and accommodating in expediting the process. The condo was light, airy and perfect for what we needed. The Magic Sands beach super close for relaxing and other beaches for surf lessons and other water activities less than a mile further towards town. Loved that it was away from the fray yet close enough for access to everything. The views are spectacular, we were able to see the dolphins from our lanai :-) Huggos on the beach and Huggos Restaurant were both fun and offered fine dining respectively, of course Lava Java is a must but having meals at home made it a choice not a necessity. Can't say enough good things about our stay. I brought my Dad over for his first trip to Hawaii and he went home with glowing reviews also

We just stayed in the Kona Mara rental and could not have asked for better accommodations, location, amenities and the VIEW!! The owner has done a wonderful job of accurately depicting the rental and the photos are exactly what you will see when you walk in. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a huge living area and everything in the kitchen we needed to cook. The lanai wraps the rental so you can see the sun come up over the mountain in the east, and enjoy the breathtaking sunset view from the west. Bill, the owner, was available by phone/text at all times and such a wonderful host. One of the best white sand beaches is walking distance and all of the best restaurants are 4 miles away (we especially liked Lava Java for breakfast, lunch and dinner). Huggos and Jackie Ray's were also very good There's also a really good grocery store only 5 minutes away. Went to Hawi for ziplining with Big Island Eco Adventures - incredible! We will be returning as soon as possisble. Wonderful, Beautiful, Still Smiling!! Thank you, Bill.

Aloha :) We truly enjoyed our 7 days vacation in Kona. The apt is great, very spacious and has everything you need: towels, kitchen equipment, etc. It is right across from the ocean and the view is great! We have traveled a lot around the island during our trip so basically only slept in the apt - no need for a pricey resort room..i also liked the fact that the owner had a proper contract and was very prompt with emails. Mahalo, Bill! I hope we'll be back one day :)

Perfect Location and Wonderful Ocean Views

We loved our stay here! The condo was comfortable, spacious, and just as described. We saw dolphins swimming off the lanai every morning, ran to Lava Java for Kona Coffee, and slept to the sound of the ocean every night. Thank you for a perfect place to stay for our trip to Kona. We would stay here again anytime we come back to the big island. We also appreciated the ability to clean the place ourselves. Aloha Bill!

Great rental

My husband, daughter, and I thoroughly enjoyed this rental! There is lots of space, the beds are comfortable, the view is gorgeous, and the location is close to good beaches and shopping but away from the noisier areas of Ali'i Drive. There are good small beaches close by, but the rental is also centrally located for visiting Hapuna and Mauna Kea beaches to the north, Kealakekua Bay to the south, and coffee plantations to the east. The kitchen is very well stocked and we prepared almost all of our meals there. We enjoyed dinner and sunset on the lanai. The swimming pool, while small, is still quite enjoyable. It was nice to have a washer and dryer to use. We stayed for 6 nights and would definitely come back.

We were lucky enough to spend a month in Bill's condo in January. The location ahd the view are great, and the condo is very comfortable. But equally important is the fact that Bill is the best owner/manager a guest could hope for. I'm sure you can't go wrong renting any of his properties. He is always available if you have any problems, and goes out of his way to answer questions and provide the little extras (beach chairs, towels, ice chest, etc.) We can't wait to come back again!!!

Aloha Bill, I absolutely made the right choice in renting your condo! It was beautiful, exactly as the pictures and description showed. It was clean, nicely decorated, great view, wonderful cross breeze from opening all the windows and sliders, and my daughter even practiced her snorkeling in the pool. I really appreciate you working with me through all of the difficulties that we had in trying to get there. You went above and beyond for us, and I truly thank you. I would HIGHLY recommend this condo to anyone interested in staying in a great place in Kailua Kona. I wonder why anyone would ever want to stay in a hotel when you could have all of the comforts of home, (a beautiful home), a great view, close to major areas, close to the best snorkel beach, etc. for a more affordable price than any hotel around. Great value, and great price! We wish we could have stayed a few more days there, but we did enjoy sleeping on my cousin's lanai with the gecko's for the rest of our trip. If we are ever fortunate enough to be able to visit Hawai'i again, we will definately be looking for your condo availability again. Thank you again, Bill.

I’ve been emailing my friends what a sensational value your accommodations represent. The accomodations were surprisingly modern and spacious. I particularly appreciate the opportunity to clean rather than being charged a substantial cleaning fee. The ocean view in the photo doesn’t seem to do the view I recall justice and the top floor living room seemed much more private than the photo indicated. We're looking mighty forward to our return.
