Surfrider 2BR/2BA Condo Ocean Front Hot Tub!
- Minimum stay:3-7 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
This is San Diego vacationing at its finest! You won't find a better location, or a more private beach-front building. The hot tub or patio is a great place to take in the fresh air and California sun, but you can watch for dolphins and enjoy Ocean Views from inside our 2 Bedroom, 2 bath condo as well. Styled with granite floors, and countertops, large flat screen HDTV, fireplace, your travertine tiled bathrooms, and modern appliances. It is perfect for families with a queen bed in the master bedroom and a full bed with twin trundle bed in the second bedroom. A queen size pullout sofa in the living room provides extra flexibility. You will enjoy watching the constant activity on the boardwalk, walking to great shops and restaurants, or riding the roller coaster at Bellmont Park just a few blocks away. Of course one of San Diego's finest beaches is just steps away, and it is easy to take the kids to Sea World for the day as it is only 2 miles away!
You can rent bikes, surfboards, (or take lessons for those of you who have always wanted to try!), rollerblades, jet skis and other recreational equipment all just around the corner! Or you may join a game of sand volleyball or just work on your tan! And that's just during the day, for those of you who like a little nightlife, Pacific Beach (just a couple of miles up the road) is a favorite destination for many of San Diego's college students and young people. Or you can head downtown for a night in San Diego's famous Gas Lamp District, or to Petco Park for a Padres game! The possibilities are endless!
This condo is located in the historic Surfrider building on Mission Beach. Recently renovated, it has all of the most modern amenities and fixtures. Our unit is located on the ground floor with a clear unobstructed view of the ocean, beach and boardwalk through a large window made with special one way reflective glass, allowing for great views without sacrificing privacy. Also, there are two private chairs in the nook just outside the window for your private use.
So whether you are sitting in the living room or out on the patio, you can watch the waves! That is if you are not watching the large flat panel HDTV in the living room with state of the art surround sound stereo system. The master bedroom is also outfitted with its own flat panel HDTV that you can watch comfortably from the queen-size, VERY comfortable bed!
The second bedroom has two twin beds and a see-through window, so full views of the ocean are never too out of sight! The kitchen is fully furnished with brand new state of the art appliances and granite countertops. The bathrooms feature travertine counters.
The central patio features two gas grills a hot tub, top of the line lounge chairs, and showers to wash off the sand from the beach!
No parties are allowed on the property. Parties may result in immediate removal from property without refund.

My family stayed at Surf Rider for a week in August and had a great time! The condo was clean and very well equipped. Check in and check out was a breeze and Dominique was great to work with. It was a great vacation for our family (three kids ages 16, 14 and 12) so much for everyone to do. We relaxed at the beach, took long walks on the boardwalk, and Belmont Park was an easy walk for the kids. My only complaint was that the week went by too fast! We plan on visiting again next summer - I highly recommend this vacation rental - you won't be dissapointed!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: So glad you had such a great time! We look forward to seeing you next summer!

My family of of four (two adults, two children) stayed at the Surfrider on Mission Beach for four nights over spring break and had an AMAZING time. The kids loved being able to walk just steps to the beach and the hot tub was just outside the front door, and we all enjoyed using it. The condo was clean and had all that we needed to cook, do our laundry, hang out and watch tv and just enjoy being literally steps to the beach. There is an awesome view from the living room and bedroom (when the shades are up). Loved the liveliness of the boardwalk during the day and it was nice and quiet at night. Also, it was great to be able to walk just several short blocks on the boardwalk to the Mission Beach commercial district where we could get coffee and food. Would recommend this property to anyone, especially those traveling with children.Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I usually leave a vacation spot having enjoyed my stay, but realizing I'd like to be back home. After staying here, I didn't want to go back home. It's as close to the water as you can legally be, you can view the Ocean from the front room, and the master bedroom has a huge window overlooking the front room so you get the same ocean view (You can close the blinds on the huge window for privacy). The bathrooms are completely modern, and the building itself is the most modern looking one along the beach. It's stocked with clean dishes/pots/pans/silverware, there are also 2 community BBQ's and a hot tub outside. Getting to BBQ some steaks while basking in the sun watching the joggers/bikers stroll by the trail outside the condo was fun too. Walking to Luigis Pizza was awesome, and La Jolla was literally less than 5 minutes away. Having a dedicated covered parking spot was nice, and after being there, it's an absolute must. The manager of this place is very helpful and responsive, and passes the integrity test by not only immediately refunding my security deposit, but by being reasonable and not charging a reservation fee, and making sure the cleaning fee is reasonable as well. Other condo's I looked into were charging $50 more for cleaning, and $55 for a reservation fee. I don't mind paying for quality, but don't nickel and dime me afterwards. I highly recommend the Surfrider.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and three small children stayed at here over Mothers Day and we had an amazing time. The Surfrider is a 2 minute walk from Belmont Park, several restuarants and bike/surfboard rentals everywhere. There is a small market directly behind the condo and several grochery stores are about 5 minute drive. 2 miles from Seaworld and 10 miles to the San Diego Zoo. Wonderful location! We grilled everynight everything we needed for cooking was already in the condo. The condo is completly upgraded. The hot tub was one of the best perk! Beautiful ocean views from the condo. We would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay on the beach. We will be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family of four had a wonderful time in this unit. This unit came equiped with everything that you need and then some. The kithen was well equipped, it was nice to have a washer/dryer in the unit (did not have to pack too much) and the beds were comfortable. I would highly recommend working with Dominique as he made this process nice and easy. Reserve this unit before it's gone.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We come to San Diego quite often and always have a great time but this stay was memorable. The weather was cloudy up until the day we left but our spirits were never higher. This condo really made our vacation. It was cozy and quaint with great views and a location that allowed us to really relax and reset our life clocks. We will be back. Thank you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We just got back from a great Mission Beach vacation. This condo is immaculate, perfect location and exceptionally well-eqipped. Dominique, the property manager, is great to work with, easy to get ahold of, and really takes care of you. Found this place surprisingly kid friendly (boys ages 3 and 1) given how luxurious it is. By far the nicest place we have stayed. Thanks for everything, we'll be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The condo is right on the boardwalk, so you can sit outside in the morning with your coffee and watch the dolphins swim while the sum comes up. In the evenings you can relax with a cocktail and people watch as the sun sets. The sunsets are stunning. Easy to walk to places, lots to see and do. Location is great for getting around San Diego. Condo is equipped so you can cook there if you don't want to eat out. Great grills on site to grill some of the local seafood. We had a great time visiting with people visiting in other condos. Well maintained, comfortable beds. La Jolla is close by for great shopping and dining. The San Diego Zoo is a must see at least once in your life. The location is great for people watching, surfing, walking on the beach, swimming, whatever your heart desires. The rental manager was wonderful and very friendly. Parking on site. Wonderful hot tub out by the grills that you share with the other units. We will stay again when we are in San Diego area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Great location, unit was very clean. We went to grocery store nearby and cooked out on grill everyday. Kids loved the roller coaster and rides. Wish picture window would open. Only downside was the unit was hot at nite , no AC, and no interior breeze.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
