This is San Diego vacationing at its finest! You won't find a better location, or a more private beach-front building. The hot tub or patio is a great place to take in the fresh air and California sun, but you can watch for dolphins and enjoy Ocean Views from inside our 2 Bedroom, 2 bath condo as well. Styled with granite floors, and countertops, large flat screen HDTV, fireplace, your travertine tiled bathrooms, and modern appliances. It is perfect for families with a queen bed in the master bedroom and 2 twin beds in the second bedroom. A pullout sofa in the living room provides extra flexibility. You will enjoy watching the constant activity on the boardwalk, walking to great shops and restaurants, or riding the roller coaster at Bellmont Park just a few blocks away. Of course one of San Diego's finest beaches is just steps away, and it is easy to take the kids to Sea World for the day as it is only 2 miles away!
You can rent bikes, surfboards, (or take lessons for those of you who have always wanted to try!), rollerblades, jet skis and other recreational equipment all just around the corner! Or you may join a game of sand volleyball or just work on your tan! And that's just during the day, for those of you who like a little nightlife, Pacific Beach (just a couple of miles up the road) is a favorite destination for many of San Diego's college students and young people. Or you can head downtown for a night in San Diego's famous Gas Lamp District, or to Petco Park for a Padres game! The possibilities are endless!
This condo is located in the historic Surfrider building on Mission Beach. Recently renovated, it has all of the most modern amenities and fixtures. Our unit is located on the ground floor with a clear unobstructed view of the ocean, beach and boardwalk through a large window made with special one way reflective glass, allowing for great views without sacrificing privacy. Also, there are two private chairs in the nook just outside the window for your private use.
So whether you are sitting in the living room or out on the patio, you can watch the waves! That is if you are not watching the large flat panel HDTV in the living room with state of the art surround sound stereo system. The master bedroom is also outfitted with its own flat panel HDTV that you can watch comfortably from the queen-size, VERY comfortable bed!
The second bedroom has two twin beds and a see-through window, so full views of the ocean are never too out of sight! The kitchen is fully furnished with brand new state of the art appliances and granite countertops. The bathrooms feature travertine counters.
The central patio features two gas grills a hot tub, top of the line lounge chairs, and showers to wash off the sand from the beach!
No parties are allowed on the property. Parties may result in immediate removal from property without refund.

Surf Rider Vacation

My family stayed at Surf Rider for a week in August and had a great time! The condo was clean and very well equipped. Check in and check out was a breeze and Dominique was great to work with. It was a great vacation for our family (three kids ages 16, 14 and 12) so much for everyone to do. We relaxed at the beach, took long walks on the boardwalk, and Belmont Park was an easy walk for the kids. My only complaint was that the week went by too fast! We plan on visiting again next summer - I highly recommend this vacation rental - you won't be dissapointed!
Owner response:So glad you had such a great time! We look forward to seeing you next summer!

We come to San Diego quite often and always have a great time but this stay was memorable. The weather was cloudy up until the day we left but our spirits were never higher. This condo really made our vacation. It was cozy and quaint with great views and a location that allowed us to really relax and reset our life clocks. We will be back. Thank you!

We just got back from a great Mission Beach vacation. This condo is immaculate, perfect location and exceptionally well-eqipped. Dominique, the property manager, is great to work with, easy to get ahold of, and really takes care of you. Found this place surprisingly kid friendly (boys ages 3 and 1) given how luxurious it is. By far the nicest place we have stayed. Thanks for everything, we'll be back.

The condo is right on the boardwalk, so you can sit outside in the morning with your coffee and watch the dolphins swim while the sum comes up. In the evenings you can relax with a cocktail and people watch as the sun sets. The sunsets are stunning. Easy to walk to places, lots to see and do. Location is great for getting around San Diego. Condo is equipped so you can cook there if you don't want to eat out. Great grills on site to grill some of the local seafood. We had a great time visiting with people visiting in other condos. Well maintained, comfortable beds. La Jolla is close by for great shopping and dining. The San Diego Zoo is a must see at least once in your life. The location is great for people watching, surfing, walking on the beach, swimming, whatever your heart desires. The rental manager was wonderful and very friendly. Parking on site. Wonderful hot tub out by the grills that you share with the other units. We will stay again when we are in San Diego area.

Great location, unit was very clean. We went to grocery store nearby and cooked out on grill everyday. Kids loved the roller coaster and rides. Wish picture window would open. Only downside was the unit was hot at nite , no AC, and no interior breeze.

The property was just what we were looking for and just as we expected it from the website pictures and discription. The rental agent was polite, honest, returned all calls and e-mails, and made our entire vacation experience a pleasant one. The location of our unit was perfect. Just outside our front door, there is a very clean patio with private lounge chairs, a spa pool, and the ocean! The property is well maintained, and clean. We had a parking garage also. The location of this rental property is walking distance to Belmont Park, and about a 15 minute walk to Pacific Beach shops and restaurants. The interior is comfortable to cozy. The living area where the tv is, did not have enough seating for our family to watch tv together, so a few of us went into the bedroom to watch through the huge picture window which opens onto the family/tv room area. The only thing we did not do was cook dinners at the condo only because the table seated four and seemed a bit crowded for our family of five. The kitchen is huge! The eating area is not. Overall, we loved this rental property and location and would rent again in the future.

What a beautiful place for everyone! We arrived at the condo, the instructions to enter the condo were easy to follow. The only problem we had at first was how to lock the door, but with a little practice it was fine. The owner provided excellent customer service, and every question I had was answered quickly. The bathrooms were roomy, and recently remodeled. My husband loved the flat screen tv in the living room. All appliances were new, and I found every pan I needed for cooking. The weather was great, and we loved the jacuzzi. All in all the vacation was perfect, and the accomodations were part of the reason. I would definately rent this place again.

We just got back from the BEST vacation our family has ever had. The condo was more than we ever could have dreamed. The experience of living right on the beach was incredible. I actually learned how to boogie board! The kids lived on the beach and found some little friends in the condo as well. Thanks so much for making this vacation so much fun. The condo had everything we needed and then some. The wine and chocolate were a special surprise. We will definitely be back next October! That is if you’ll let us rent out the condo again :) I’ll figure out the schedule for next year and I’ll be in touch to reserve the room. Thanks, Matt

Without any question, Surf Rider is the complex that gets all the "oohs and aahs" from people passing by on the Mission Beach boardwalk. The unit itself was extremely well maintained, exceptionally comfortable, and perfectly managed. If you're looking for the perfect southern California, beach vacation, there is no need to look any further. I would not hesitate to do this again in the future. My week at Surf Rider was perfect....
