This beautifully restored, late-Georgian apartment is perfectly situated in the heart of the city of Bath, overlooking the Avon River and Pulteney Bridge.
This ideal location is visually stunning with views of the river, the city, and the rolling countryside beyond. It has been lauded as the best location in the city of Bath. This Robert Adam designed building is featured in many Bath postcards and souvenirs.
The accommodation consists of a large reception room with dining area, an open-plan kitchen, two double bedrooms, a gallery/occasional bedroom (which overlooks the reception room and has a spectacular view of the river), a large full bathroom and shower room, (en suite to one of the double bedrooms).
The reception room is magnificent with 14-foot ceilings and original cornicing designed by Robert Adam. The furnishings are a beautiful blend of antique and contemporary. A gas coal effect fireplace adds warmth and beauty to this stately room. The colour scheme is in neutral shades and therefore very soothing to the senses. The lulling sounds from the river below make this a tranquil and relaxing environment.
The kitchen has been designed to complement and add to the overall appearance of the reception room. The cabinets are made of birch with beautiful inlaid mahogany detailing. The appliances are of the highest calibre with the range and cook top designed by Smeg. Hidden behind the cabinets are a full-sized refrigerator with freezer, microwave oven, and full-sized washer and dryer.
The gallery, accessible by an enclosed staircase, was created to be used as a comfortable lounge in which to enjoy music, television, a good book, or pleasant conversation. It can also be used as an additional bedroom since its furnishings include a double-sized sofa bed.
