Nuevo Arenal area is in Costa Rican highlands. Temperature range in mid 70's nearly year round with cool breeze, mid 60s perfect for sleeping evenings. This area offers fishing in Lake Arenal, swimming, hiking, wind-surfing, bird watching, volcano viewing, eco hot springs, good restaurants, friendly folk, abundant wildlife and plant life.
This home is set on 1/3 acre surrounded by peace and natural beauty.
House is newly constructed. Light, airy, spacious, with open beam ceilings, large slide picture windows, deep covered porch, tile throughout, screened windows and doors, covered car port. Nicely decorated, fully equipped kitchen (minus microwave oven), orthopedic mattress, hot water, telephone. All calls within Costa Rica free. Must use international calling card for calls made outside of costa rica. Internet card available from caretaker. Short walk to town, longer walk to lake. Car is not necessary if you can walk.
House situated on large lot on a hillside overlooking a lovely landscaped pond (which also serves as a bird sanctuary). Tall laurel trees border property. Road is on outskirts of town and has little traffic, very quiet, and peaceful. This house is a perfect nature lover's, artist retreat. Across the street from house is jungle. You can see monkeys, toucans, deer and a wide variety of birds and wildlife.
Sleeping arrangements: Double bed in master bedroom, Single-day bed in main living area. Both have new, firm foam mattresses. Baths two full, no tub.
Volcano Arenal viewing is within an hour's drive or less. Also wonderful hot springs close by. Can swim in lake, fresh, clean water. Boat rides on lake for volcano viewing available in the area. Delicious German and Austrian Bakeries in town.
gardener service included. If your stay is by the night it will include a continental breakfast. All guests will receive fixings for continental breakfast upon first night of arrival. If you rent by week price includes one change of linens-towels. Ask my manager, Sue, and she will provide them. If by month price includes once weekly change of linens-towels. maid service available at additional fee.
PHONE IS available (no charge) in house for all local calls. For long distance - out of country you need to use an international calling card. Ask Sue for an internet card - price is about $7.50 USD.
