The main house of Casa Estrella sleeps two in a private bedroom with king-size bed downstairs, and two more upstairs in the charming loft with twin beds. The loft area opens to its own pocket balcony with a stunning mountain view. A full bath with one-way glass wall looking to the enclosed garden, and a separate half bath, are each located on the ground floor.
Surrounding the main house you will find plenty of opportunity for the fresh air living that characterizes Ajijic. Your front patio has an adobe table and wrought iron chairs for dining al fresco. The picturesque back garden features a waterfall and a goldfish pond, complete with water lilies. Of course, you will find chairs here for relishing your jewel box garden in comfort and privacy.
The casita, a separate building with its own private entrance, sleeps two in a double bed, with a pull-out single bed available for a third guest. The casita is on one level with no stairs, and has one full bath (also with glass wall to its enclosed garden) and a half bath. The private rear garden has its own table and chairs, mirrored bar area, and a lounge chair for reclining among the semi-tropical plants and bougainvillea.
Both houses have full kitchens, with frost-free refrigerators, oven and stove, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, blender, and electric grill. Both houses have Star Choice satellite TV; the main house also has a DVD player. Each house has its own spin-dry washer and clothesline, so you do not have to bring an extra suitcase of "just in case" clothes. (Bring that extra suitcase anyway, but make sure it is empty for all the treasures you will bring back from shopping the local artisans and crafts-people.)
