This house has a great location and has everything you need and more. The fixtures, appliances and furnishing are top of the line. There is plenty of cookware, towels, extra bedding, blankets you name it the house has it and extra. Donna is great to work with as is the local property manager/cleaning lady who was really nice and helpful. She made sure we had everything and knew where everything was. We live on Oahu and came over for a long weekend and will certainly be back. The people of Lanai are some of the nicest in the islands. True spirit of Aloha,Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We were fortunate enough to spend our thirtieth anniversary in Donna's very charming plantation home. It offers a wonderful alternative to hotel living. It was well equipped and has been tastefully upgraded and furnished. Donna is a gracious host. The home is only a 5 min walk to the center of town. The neighbors extended their Aloha Spirit. We hope to return. Thank u Donna for the use of your lovely home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

My husband and I stayed at this lovely plantation home for a week. It's beautifully restored, very well cared for and one of the best stocked kitchens I've ever seen in a rental. Lanai City is peaceful and charming. There are not many swimming beaches on Lanai but Manele Bay has everything anyone could ever want in a beach. The owner Donna was wonderful and the gift basket on arrival was much appreciated along with the beautiful bouquet of tropical flowers. I would definately recommend this property and hope to come back to stay again soon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our first time to stay on Lanai, and we don't like the feel of the large resorts so we chose this home. A perfect decision. It was only two of us, but didn't feel too big - would be perfect for a family with kids. Very safe, great location, and the kitchen and baths are new and well appointed. Thank you Donna for allowing us to stay! Highly recommended.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We stayed in Maui and headed to Lanai for a wedding at the Four Seasons there. Having kids, we wanted a place with more space and more of a local feel...this fit the bill. Donna the owner was great and we had games, videos, space and a location super close to the quiet fire department where my kids would watch the firemen clean their trucks and do practice outside. We slept so well and enjoyed renting the 4x4 to explore shipwreck beach, garden of the gods and polihua beach where we were totally alone on one of the most beautiful beaches I had ever seen. Walking distance to the quaint shops, cafes and hotel lanai for live music, but you do need a vehicle here to experience what this amazing island has to offer. If you are looking for a high end yet local experience, this home will certainly please you. I cannot wait to return to Lanai!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We had a lovely time and felt so much at home here. Thank you for the welcome basket and all the helpful instructions and special touches, like fresh flowers. The kitchen is beautifully upgraded and the yard is so nicely manicured. We ate fresh papaya from the trees each morning and appreciated the movie selection and popcorn! It really made us feel at home when we could come back after a day of sightseeing. I will reccommend your home to friends and family!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I was so happy that I chose to stay in this great house. I am the type of traveller who prefers to "make like a local", an experience you will not find by staying in a hotel. I immediately felt comfortable and very much at home. The gift basket was special, especially the coffee! It was so amazing to sit and drink that coffee on the front porch, watching the town wake up. For the time I spent on Lanai, the house was in a perfect location for me, and provided the space I needed to relax. This island is so beautiful, renting a jeep and exploring is a must, as is hanging out around town, meeting the people, sampling the restaurants....It was also so convenient to buy groceries and have a barbeque in your own back yard. When I travel back to Lanai, there is no hesitation on my part to come back here, to "my place", because that is how it feels, like it is your own place, to come and go as you please. the owner has done a fabulous job of ensuring that you, too, will feel as I did. Mahalo! :) Island Girl JanetRecommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful time on Lana'i, and the house was better than expected! The photos don't show how terrific it is. The remodel kept the feel of the old plantation house while updating with modern conveniences. The beds are great, the furniture comfortable, and all the cupboards are amazingly well stocked! We enjoyed fresh bananas and papaya from the trees out back, sunsets from the front porch, and walking into the city where the locals treated you as family. This house is the perfect place to stay on an island that is truly the Old Hawaii. Donna was most helpful in pretrip planning, answering my many questions about grocery stores (Richard's Market is great), restaurants (Blue Ginger Cafe was the local's favorite and our's), and activities (the beach at Hulopo'e and Ship Wreck Beach we had almost entirely to ourselves). Lana'i offers a pleasant alternative to the hustle and bustle of Maui, though it doesn't have as many snorkeling opportunities. We will definitely go back to our favorite plantation home in Lana'i City!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: It is wonderful to know that my planation home offers alot of Aloha in Lanai. I want to give the best possible vacation to my customers.

Okay..where do I begin.. I just recently married and now live in Oregon, but lived on Lanai Hi and worked for Manele Bay hotel. I wanted to take my husband and show the beauty of the island...I won't lie I am a snob after working at Manele Bay and Four Seasons in Georgetown, Relais and Chateax I was nervous!! Lanai is a VERY different island..no stop lites, only 1 bar in town besides the two 5 Star Four Seasons Resorts..simple living..what the real Hawaii is all about!! This rental was like a dream come true...seriously...The bitch that I am I thoroughly was elated with the high thread sheet count, hardwood floors, plush bathtowels, enviromental cleaning supplies, snorkiling gear, cable, bamboo fans and bamboo chairs..the best of the best...Chocolate Kona coffee, mac nuts, mango, papaya, bananas and avacados that were at your finger tips...Nov thru March watch out for the avacado is plentiful and if you go in and out of the driveway you will have guacamole every nite!...FYI trade the next door neighbor avacado and you will get other magical veggies Don't expect alot of nightlife but this place is da kine!!!! Kiki Mau and giggy the cats appreciate alittle attention..they live under the house and would fill your hearts with love and ohana!! Our second return trip and it is like coming back home. Aloha, Cb and Kat and always like coming homeRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: It is so nice to receive a positive review and that I make my guests comfortable.
