This cozy casita is very compact, but has everything a couple needs for a perfect stay. The use of space was very clever. The location could not be better, one block behind the Georgia O'Keefe Museum. It is beautifully remodeled, with a lovely private patio with hot tub, a kiva fireplace in the corner, a comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen, huge shower, and a washer/dryer. The patio was nice to sit on the first two days, but when it started snowing on the third day, we were glad to have the fireplace morning and evening to warm the place up, and it gives the room so much atmosphere. Cynthia was easy to work with throughout the whole reservation process and during our stay. She even let us leave our car in the driveway after checkout while we got one last lunch in Santa Fe.

The guest house is located so close to everything downtown Santa Fe has to offer, but the best thing about it is the secluded feel of being away from it all! Our hosts were gracious and very helpful, and made us feel right at home. The guest house is small, and yet offers more than just the essentials, with extra towels, robes, blankets and sundries tucked away. The inside space is well thought out with details that go a long way: skylights, tiled kitchen counters, modern appliances and a fireplace. The patio area was just lovely with a hot tub perfect for two. Use it for stargazing, morning soaks and to watch the blossoms nearby follow the sun. The entire visit was serene and very enjoyable thanks to the care and attention of our hosts. Thank you!!
Owner response:Thank you Lina, for such a nice review. We hope to see you again soon!

McKenzie house is an adorable little cottage perfect for two. My boyfriend and I were so pleased when we stepped in the door. Tons of privacy, nicely decorated, lovely music provided, yummy breakfast treats (especially the coffee) and a hot tub to boot. We sat out in the courtyard every morning and enjoyed the beautiful Santa Fe weather. The location is just a five minute walk to the plaza, which made it convenient as parking in the downtown area is not the easiest. And Cynthia, the owner/host, was friendly and accommodating. This was my second trip to Santa Fe and I can definitely say I won't look anywhere else to stay the next time I come to town. I look forward to visiting again.
Owner response:It was such a pleasure to meet you two and we are so pleased you enjoyed our casita. We look forward to seeing you back here soon!

This is a great place for a couple to stay. Easy walking distance to the plaza. Very clean and well maintained. Nice little kitchen if you want to prepare some of your meals. Owner knowledgable about restaurants, activities, and attractions. Quiet location. Inquire about this property before you make your Santa Fe reservations.

We stayed here for our 10 year anniversary in 2007 and it was an adorable, secluded, romantic little guesthouse in great proximity to The Plaza. Amenities were spot-on and extremely comfortable.

My husband and I knew the moment we walked into the courtyard we would love staying at McKenzie house. The ambiance and atmosphere reminded us of our travels staying at quaint European rooms with courtyards. It is also within walking distance to fabulous restaurants and the plaza. Thank you David and Cindy for such a lovely and comfortable stay.
