I can't say enough great things about this house! Relaxing place to stay right on the beach, which you have all to yourself. Perfect for families, groups of friends, surfers, families of surfers or even a small wedding or reunion! Very safe, secure and the beachfront pool is absolutely inviting. Louise the caretaker is always there to make sure your stay becomes a vacation! He also is a great surfer and can take you to local breaks if you choose. Or show you around town for some tasty traditional dishes. By the way...if you rent a vehicle he's an awesome driver. What a wonderful guy... and his sister Lespia can cook a delicious meal at the house if you like. She's a delight! We will always try to stay at this paradise of a home whenever we come to Nicaragua! Jaime is a good guy to work with, and always responsive with any questions or scheduling. You guys are doing it right! Thanks for all the memories, and I hope more to come!

Loved, loved, loved every second of our trip to Nicaragua. The house was everything and more as decribed in the details . At least 3 of the bedrooms have complete privacy from other rooms. Lewis is absolutley AWESOME saw to our needs as well as brought us sightseeing in Granda and Massaya, not to metion surfing. Lesbia was heaven sent, cooking fabulous meals and setting the table with flowers. The beach was perfect, lots of seashells, rockpools and even got to see a sea turtle. Jamie was a joy to make plans with.

Finding this house on VRBO inspired my trip to Nicaragua and it did not disappoint. I stayed at Jamie’s house with 3 friends for a week and everything was perfect, wonderful, gorgeous place! Jamie was so helpful with info about Nicaragua before we left and rental transaction and deposit return could not have been easier. We rented a car, which was a must unless looking for a bus adventure, and had Luis meet us at the airport and drive us to the house. The house has one bedroom with a queen bed downstairs, a large living room upstairs that has a queen bed and a room adjacent with a queen size bed. The living room and adjacent bedroom share a large terrace that looks over pool and ocean. There is also very nice, large separate bedroom w/ bath upstairs that faces the garden. The pool is perfect and plenty of space to lounge and enjoy the view. The beach is almost deserted except for a few people fishing at sunset. Ocean water is surprisingly warm and great to have pool or ocean option. We had Luis’ sister Lesvia cook for us which was a smart decision as there was no way any of us would have wanted to cook in the heat. Lesvia is an excellent cook and would make whatever we brought and requested (her ceviche is incredible!) She and Luis were so helpful and such nice welcoming people. Pochomil and Masachapa are lovely and seem to be one joint town and hard to tell where one ends other begins. People are very open and friendly and we had great times hanging out out with the locals at bars and restaurants. I’m sure there are many sights to see in the vicinity but we were so relaxed and content at the house that there was not a great desire to stray far. I look forward to a return visit!

We just returned from our vacation in Pochomil and we consider it one of our best vacations yet. Paradise in Nicaragua indeed! The house is better than the pictures can describe it and the property including the large pool is clean and very well mantained. The location amazing, right on the one of the best stretches of beach in the area. Everything went very smoothly, from the communication with Jamie the owner, to the trip from the airport (an hour and a half) where we were picked up by Luis the housekeeper. The rental car is a must since the buses can be crowded and they take twice as much to get you to your destination. The roads aren't the best but we let Luis do the driving since he knows his way around. Luis will take care of anything you need, he is a great guy - make sure you have him get you fresh fish, it's amazing and cheap. Once we got to the house we were greeted by Lesvia, Luis' sister who cooked for us during our stay there. Don't think twice about hiring Lesvia for the job, she is the best chef and you'll have better things to do while you're there. The nearby fishing village Masachapa (a short 2 miles walk on the beach) is a great place to meet the locals and have super fresh seafood. Eat at the local restaurants to! Even though at first they seem unsanitary the food is amazing and you'll never have seafood as fresh as they have it there - literally few feet from the ocean. Granada (2 hours) is a very pretty colonial city, the impressive Masaya volcano, laguna Apoyo, the isletas on Lake Nicaragua and the surrounding villages are definitely places you should visit and you can do it all in one day - and let Luis do the driving! Our kids (5 and 7) loved to explore the beach and play in the pool all day and we did not feel unsafe at any time, the nicaraguans or nicas are friendly and welcoming. If you think Nicaragua we highly recommend Jamie's place.

My wife and I, along with our 2 Nicaraguan God daughters spent 7 great days listening to the Pacific Ocean just 75 yards from the front of the house. The tropical house and grounds were maintained by Luis,(who also met and returned us to the airport) a great guy that can communicate in English as well as I could in Spanish. We hired his sister Lesvia as a cook, and can she cook. WOW. We walked the beach, rode horses ate fresh snapper and swam in the pool. Wasting away our days relaxed and doing just whatever we wanted to do. We will definitely return. The final quarter of a mile dirt road to the house was a little rough, but our rented mini van had no problems and the road is to be repaired and blocked this year. The house at Pochomil is away from the tourist beaches and was quiet and completely enclosed by walls. We felt very safe without being tormented by people selling local goods (ie Ceramics) We highly recommend this vacation house.

My family and I had a great 2 weeks at this property. The only down side was the road out front but I understand that is going to be fixed soon. We bought lobsters on the beach for supper, took many long walks on the beach and the pool was very refreshing. My son tried surfing and we all enjoyed jumping in the waves. The beds were all comfortable and the air conditioners worked very well. The property was relatively central to everything we wanted to do - volcano boarding, kayaking in Granada, shopping in Masaya and other sightseeing. If we go to Nicaragua again (so many other countries I want to go to), we would definitely look at staying here again. The communication with the owner was great - both before to make sure we had all the information we need, and after to ensure that we had enjoyed the stay.

Spent a much needed magical two weeks enjoying sun, sand and surf on a private beach in a roomy, comfortable house. The onsite staff provided amazing service and information about the area and different activities. The beautiful, well-kept pool area and well appointed kitchen area made it difficult to venture away for any reason. We watched surfers as well as fishermen and lobster gathering from our lounge chairs by the pool!! Access to fresh fish, lobster and produce made life easy. Safety of person or property was never in question. Can't wait to return and take family with us. There is something for everyone...young and old.
