Newly renovated home ON the ocean. This is in a very exclusive part of Nicaragua, with a private beach that goes on for miles. There is a private swimming pool which lies just feet from the white sand. Great beach break in front of the house with NO CROWDS and PLENTY of great waves both beach and reef breaks in surrounding area. We provide both boogie boards and soft surfboards!
We have a nice outside dining area that is covered and overlooking the ocean and pool. There are also hammocks outside where you can relax and enjoy the ocean breeze!
Pochomil is a very relaxing, low key town. Neighboring town, Masachapa, is a fishing village with restaurants and entertainment worth checking out. You can also have Lobster dinners delivered to the house for VERY cheap.
We have a full kitchen and an on-site COOK, who will prepare all of your meals, for an additional charge.
This is a spectacular location for a family vacation or just the adventurous type. With great surfing and unforgettable views, this is a place that will serve memories for a lifetime!

What a wonderful week in Nicaragua. Our stay totally exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The owner of the house, Jamie could not have been more accommodating. We were met at the airport by Luis and headed to Budget and then on to get the week's supply of groceries. Having Luis as a driver and guide was a great move! The house was spacious with ample outdoor living space providing super views of the ocean. Lesbia provided fantastic food at every meal from her guacamole to her homemade dressing and her pargo Pochomil style! You don't need to eat out as Lesbia's food is the best! All four of us anticipated each meal with delight. My husband and son spent the mornings with Luis exploring and surfing nearby breaks or enjoying the waves right out front. My son's girl, even learned to surf on the house's surfboard. She was stoked! We all enjoyed relaxing and reading by the pool, walking on the nearly deserted beach, and looking for shells. We took a day trip to Leon to experience the culture. Luis and Lesbia were always a wealth of information regarding their country and language. The casino proved to be a fun night for all of us! Buenas suerte! The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. We all slept well with the use of the fans. We did not use any AC, WiFi, or watch TV. We loved sleeping to the gentle roar of the ocean. The sunsets were spectacular! We have all agreed that we would like to return and stay longer. We would highly recommend this rental and the exceptional services provided by Luis and Lesbia. This rental in Pochomil was ideal!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Miles and miles of beach and rarely more than two or three people on it. Every day the weather was beautiful and the pool was our favourite gathering spot. Luis and Lesbia are Treasures!! We arrived late and stayed at the Camino Real Managua airport and Luis met us at the airport the next morning at the Avis counter. The day we left he drove us back in to return the vehicle. The roads and other road users are not the best so we would strongly advise everyone to hire Luis to do the driving. He is an excellent driver and so considerate and helpful. (A 4 wheel drive vehicle is the only way to go). Luis also arranged for the hire of ATV's and for horses to ride on the beach at sunset and drove us wherever we wanted to go. He takes great care of the pool, and even built us a fire on the beach our last night there. We are so pleased we were made aware of Lesbia's cooking. We took full advantage of the opportunity and hired her to cook all our meals. We bought our groceries and left everything to her. Everyday she gave us wonderful meals. It was fun to see if any of us could guess what magic she would produce next. And what a lovely lady she is!! The house was perfect for our grown-up family. Steps from the house to the pool, steps from the pool to the beach. More room than the 5 of us needed and we couldn't ask for more. We will certainly be back as soon as we are able to. Besides, we only left 2 days ago and we miss Luis and Lesbia already.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family of 4 (2 kids: girl 6 and boy 7) just came back from almost a month at Jaimie's house in Nicaragua. It was perfect! For starters, the location of this house could not be better! The house is literally right on the beach! The beach itself is very safe with little traffic and lots of privacy. It's less than a minute walk to surfing, tidal pools and all that the ocean has to offer! The days were sunny and warm, the sunsets were incredible every evening, as were the starlit skies at night! The house itself was clean and well looked after. We could easily have been there with 2 other couples, or one other family. The rooms were comfy, there were sitting areas, lawn chairs, hammocks, eating areas...lots of space to hang out in. The pool was fantastic! Very refreshing and clean. The kids lived in it and became super little swimmers! I appreciated that it was not over chlorinated as some pools can be. We were happy to have internet access the whole time we were there which was great for work and keeping in touch with family. There was something there for all of us! The kids loved swimming in the pool AND the Ocean, we went to the tidal pools at last once a day and were in awe: fish, crabs, starfish, sand dollars, clams, snails etc. They were beaming with life! We also found the coolest shells every time we walked down the beach. We enjoyed exploring it all as much as the kids! Both my husband and I learned how to surf! What fun! Jaimie has a few boards at the house that we were able to use. The kids even got up on a few waves! The house comes with a fabulous caretaker family who looked after us and yet also gave us our privacy. Luis was amazing: meeting us at the airport, driving our rental car (when we had one), taking us sight seeing, grocery shopping and surfing, as well as teaching us about the country and the customs. Luis's sister Lesvia cooked many of our dinners and organized fresh seafood, fruit, vegetables and other odds and ends for us in between grocery shops. Her meals were healthy and tasty! The kids ate everything she made! We spent one day sight-seeing and loved it! Luis organized the day and we really felt like we saw many of the highlights. Jaimie was great to deal with in every way, answering all of our questions and helping us get organized! Thank you so much for a beautiful family holiday! We hope to be back soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were not quite sure what to expect when we booked our vacation in Pochmil. The house and set up exceeded all our expectations. The house is right on the Pacific ocean with beautiful views all day, amazing sunsets and the starlit sky at night. What makes the stay so complete are the services of Luis and Lesvia. Luis met us at the airport, went with us to pick up the car rental and was our driver for the entire stay. He is also the caretaker of the property and we felt safe knowing he was right there on the property every night. Lesvia is a wonderful, creative cook. What a treat! Every morning when we woke up she would have the coffee going. The breakfasts were great. In fact, every meal was delicious. Be sure to have Luis take you to buy the fresh fish. Lesvia will prepare it all different ways. Also, the lobster meal she made us was to die for! We stayed in January and the winds were strong some days . That may have been a good thing because it kept us from getting too hot. Of course, a quick dip in the pool was refreshing and welcome! Another tip was that we were very happy that we rented the four wheel drive car, as some of the roads are dirt roads. We had Luis drive us everywhere and did lots of sightseeing and enjoyed shopping at the markets. Remember, this is a tropical environment, bring your bug spray! As for side trips, do not miss the Masaya markets, Granada and the volcanoes. It was an incredible trip and loved everything about it! Stayed in Pochomil for two weeks in November 2012. The location and facilities were exactly what we were looking for. (Couple 50/53). Location would be perfect for travelers of any age. We rented a vehicle and will say that although we have been to Pochomil twice, with a vehicle each time, the driving experience might not be suited to everyone. That is not a problem at this home as a driver can be arranged if needed. We would recommend this location (and we have) to anyone interested. Thanks again for providing your home to vacationers looking for the perfect spot.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My wife and I spent a week here and it was truly special. Luis and Lesbia, who look after the house, were amazing. Lesbia is a professional chef (really) and having her cook was like staying at a resort and my mother's house at the same time! Luis, her brother took care of anything we required and gave us some fantastic tips about seeing the surrounding area. He is also a very good surfer and extremely pleasant company. They are both special human beings whom we are privileged to call friends. We have been to Nicaragua 5 times over the past four years and the beauty and tranquility of the place is only topped by the genuinely lovely people. The area is beautiful and the location is perfect if you are looking for a getaway in a clean house, with a great pool, yards from an incredible beach in a safe and hospitable locale just outside of a small town on the Pacific. The locals always wave and smile, and despite speaking little Spanish, our interactions were never awkward or problematic. Jamie, one of the owners whom I dealt with for the rental, couldn't have been more professional and friendly - eager to help - directions and instructions were clear and we had no issues at all. Highly recommended and just what we were looking for. If you surf - this place is a great beach break and there's really no-one on it except for a smattering of friendly locals. Horseback riding on the beach, shell collecting, fishing, or just relaxing - it was a week of heaven. Pochomil and Masachapa have things you need like food, drinks, restaurants, sights etc. Thank you again Jamie, Louis and Lesbia - you have a special place and we will be back...Todos los mejores y gracias a muchos. Hasta que nos encontremos de nuevo!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at the house for a week in April and it was amazing. The house itself was great, with 4 queen beds there was plenty of room. The pool was great for the hot afternoons and we made great use of the hammock. The beach was deserted, with a decent beach break right in front of the house. We surfed every day and never saw another soul on the water except for the caretaker Luis. Incredible sunsets too. The two nearby towns are fairly quiet and delightfully devoid of throngs of foreign tourists. There are a couple of nice restaurants nearby, and everyone seemed friendly. Luis and his sister Lesvia were fantastic. Luis took care of us for the whole stay. He drove us everywhere, showed us around, and generally took care of anything we needed. Lesvia is an amazing cook, she even made us sushi after we caught a couple of tunas with a local fisherman friend of Luis'. The two of them absolutely made our stay, if you stay here you have to hire them. If you're looking for a place to totally disconnect and relax, this is it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Just returned February 18th from Nicaragua. The property was right on the beach and what a beautiful beach it was. Miles and Miles of beach. The beachhouse is in great shape and the pool was wonderful. Levisca and Luis kept the place beautiful and us well fed. We were going to use Levisca's cooking service maybe for a couple of days but ended up eating her meals every day for the two week stay. The meals were amazing and worth every cent of the 30.00 per day she charges. I miss them both very much and couldn't have asked for two more sunny personalities. Due to the fact you never want to leave once you get there make sure you bring everything you need from groceries to beer and a really good sunscreen!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

I can't say enough great things about this house! Relaxing place to stay right on the beach, which you have all to yourself. Perfect for families, groups of friends, surfers, families of surfers or even a small wedding or reunion! Very safe, secure and the beachfront pool is absolutely inviting. Louise the caretaker is always there to make sure your stay becomes a vacation! He also is a great surfer and can take you to local breaks if you choose. Or show you around town for some tasty traditional dishes. By the way...if you rent a vehicle he's an awesome driver. What a wonderful guy... and his sister Lespia can cook a delicious meal at the house if you like. She's a delight! We will always try to stay at this paradise of a home whenever we come to Nicaragua! Jaime is a good guy to work with, and always responsive with any questions or scheduling. You guys are doing it right! Thanks for all the memories, and I hope more to come!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Loved, loved, loved every second of our trip to Nicaragua. The house was everything and more as decribed in the details . At least 3 of the bedrooms have complete privacy from other rooms. Lewis is absolutley AWESOME saw to our needs as well as brought us sightseeing in Granda and Massaya, not to metion surfing. Lesbia was heaven sent, cooking fabulous meals and setting the table with flowers. The beach was perfect, lots of seashells, rockpools and even got to see a sea turtle. Jamie was a joy to make plans with.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
