Lovely poolside condo. It was clean and well equiped and very comfortable.Our 2 teenage daughters also loved it especially as there is internet access so they could keep in touch with their friends in the UK. The complex was well maintained and quiet and those that we did meet were very friendly. The beach was well worth the 100 steps down to (and back up again!). It was a treat watching so many happy dogs playing together and was spotlessly clean too! We were lucky enough to see dolphins on 2 occasions. Very popular with surfers. Easy access for Seaworld, the zoo and all other local attractions. The coast road is well worth driving along to find all sorts of restaurants. Plenty of good supermarkets nearby too. For full days out it was worth the 2 hour drive to L.A. for Disney, Universal Studios and Hollywood/Beverley Hills etc! I would recommend this condo for everyone of all ages. It is very near to beaches without steps so access isn't a problem.

Del Mar Beach Club

I recently stayed at Margaret's condo at the del mar beach club. I had a great time.She was spot on with everything she said about her condo. It was being cleaned when we arrived and had everything you could need. It was like being at home. Her location is right on the pool and the weather at this time of year is second to none. I would recommend this place to anyone, it is much much better than any of the hotels located near by. Trust me i have stayed in them all for the past 13 years.

Spacious and immaculate condo in Solana Beach

My husband and I have had enough of Canadian winters and spent all of this past Feb and Mar enjoying Solana Beach and this condo. The condo is extremely clean, very easy to keep clean and is very nicely decorated and furnished. While we were only renting as a couple we had three sets of friends visit during our stay and this one level condo was spacious enough to easily accomodate four adults. The master bedroom suite is a fabulous retreat and I wish I could take it home! The kitchen is also well appointed and there is plenty of storage throughout the unit. The overall complex is also very clean and well maintained and the 'sunset room' is a lovely place to enjoy a cozy fire and watch the sun set with friends - which we did regularly. The complex is very accessible to the beach and the 100 or so stairs down to it provide excellent exercise along with the daily long beach walks. Marge was a tremendous host; easily accessible and very responsive to any questions or issues. We did have one minor repair requirement which she addressed very quickly with good communication with us.

Wonderful January

We spent a wonderful January at this excellent property. The property is extremely well maintained and the location is ideal both within the greater San Diego area and within the condo complex. We found the owner to be extremely hospitable and responsive. We enjoyed the pool and exercise rooms in the morning and beach walks at sunset. We also enjoyed watching the dogs romp on the beach at nearby Dog Beach. Friends and family who visited us declared this property to be a winner. This was an excellent getaway from mid-west snow and ice.

Our month in Paradise

We spent the whole month of August in the Lily condo and enjoyed every minute! The location is the best...close to many shops and restaurants! The condo itself is just lovely. The master bedroom and bath are nicer than many of us have at home. The kitchen is equipped with anything you need to whip up a gourmet meal! (not that I did!) We loved having the pool right outside our living room. All in all, we loved "our month in Paradise!"

We spent a week in the condo and had a great time. The access to the beach was a bit much for our 2.5 year old but the pool was a big hit. It was wonderful having direct access to the pool just outside the living room. The condo was very well equipped. We had a minor issue which was resolved quickly. The only complaint we had was the beds. They were too soft for our preference and rather noisy when we turned in our sleep. Other than that everything was great. The pack-n-play and toys provided were awesome and came in very handy. We had plenty of room and having the washer & dryer in the condo was very helpful. The property was as described and well-maintained. We would recommend this property to a friend

Spring Break delight!

Our family really enjoyed the condo and entire property. My kids especially loved the quick access to the main pool. The location was perfect for our trips to the San Diego Zoo, Sea World and Dinsneyland. I'd recommend this property to other families looking for a comfortable and enjoyable vacation.

Great location, clean and spacious condo, great for a small family

My husband, young daughter and myself enjoyed our February stay at the Del Mar Beach Club. The condo is clean, brightly lit, well decorated and spacious. The furniture and beds were also very comfortable! We spent many evenings cooking dinner and relaxing on the deck. Basic cookware, dishes and glassware are available. There's also a great common area overlooking the beach - perfect for having a glass of wine and watching the sunset with the neighbors. Another great advantage of this condo is that it's one of only a few poolside units. Even in late February, my daughter was able to enjoy the heated pool during several warm afternoons. This unit is not ocean side, but it's a quick walk to a water view and an private beach area. Parks, restaurant, a grocery store and CVS are all nearby with quite a few options within walking distance. Thanks for the Beck family for providing comfortable accommodations!!

Excellent beach!

Although this condo itself is not ocean-front, the access to the beach is great - much better than the other places we saw. You walk across the quiet parking lot and down some steps and you are in the most private, cleanest beach I've ever seen. We went out early in the morning and were the only ones on the beach besides some walkers. Same for the evening, after dinner. Even during prime beach hours, it was never crowded or noisy. The condo is spacious and large and was perfect for us and our two daughters. The heated pool is just outside the living room sliding glass doors, which could be good or bad. It's good if you swim a lot and just want to walk out your patio gate and be at the pool but bad if your kids are going to want to be in the pool every time they see someone else in it. There are bushes that screen it from view, so you still have privacy in the condo. The pool closes at 10 pm and amazingly, people honored that and noise was never a problem. We slept great and really enjoyed staying in Del Mar as opposed to the more crowded beaches of San Diego and La Jolla. Would definitely recommend it!

The townhouse complex was fantastic!! The gardens and facilities are beautiful -- swimming pools, hot tub, gym, and club house with spectacular ocean views... the most beautiful sunsets on the Pacific!! The location is within walking distance to some great shops and restaurants. If you bring your car, reserved parking is provided. There is also, quick access to I-5 and the highways. The condo is beautiful, spacious and clean -- very well appointed with all the comforts of home, and more!! An assortment of beach essentials are provided -- chairs, toys, mats, beach towels, etc. The bedrooms are spacious with ample storage and comfortable beds. The kitchen is large with all the conveniences of home. Enjoy your fabulous meals on your private patio overlooking the pool and gardens!! The owner, Erika, is a pleasure and made our stay very memorable!!

Holiday at the Beach

My husband and I returned on Nov 9 after a two week vacation at this condo. We had a great time. The condo was very clean and well maintained. Lots of clean towels, beach towels and we used the beach chairs most days. We found the complex very clean and well maintained with a great pool just outside our patio. It was very quiet at night which we loved. The beach access is excellant as we like to walk to the beach there are 100 steps as described but that was our daily excercise.Also visited the Zoo , the wild animal park and enjoyed them all. The weather was great and we really enjoyed our first visit to the area. We would definately recommend this condo to friends and family . Thanks Erika we had a great time. Michael and Jane

My wife and our 3 kids stayed there during the last week of July 2008. We were pleasantly surprised that the condo was even more spacious than the pictures indicated. During our stay, we hosted a BBQ for other family visiting the area, and had 14 people in the condo, yet didn't feel crowded. My wife, who's a clean freak, was impressed with how well everything was maintained. The beds were comfortable and the furnishings very nice. There is a nice sized pool, hot tub room, and resort quality exercise room (treadmill, elliptical, free and machine weights and stability balls) literally right outside the door. (Be ready to make a $50 refundable deposit for a key to the exercise room.) The ground level location was convenient, but you have to go down about 8 or 9 stairs to get to the door, so it isn't readily accessible for disabled people. This is probably the best placed condo in the whole development. Parking was easy, as we had an assigned spot. The condo development sits on a cliff overlooking a beautiful private beach (about 100 steps down the stairs), where my kids did yoga in the morning while watching the first surfers. The beach is manned by a lifeguard, so we felt safe when we were there. Also, since it's private, we were able to enjoy the beach and ocean without having to deal with the huge crowds packing the nearby public beaches. There were boogie boards and beach chairs in the condo for our use. If one didn't feel like walking down (and back up!) those ~100 steps, you could sit on the comfortable observation deck overlooking the beach and ocean. The views are incredible! The general location of the Del Mar Beach Club is convenient to just about everything you need. It's a block away from Highway 101, which runs north and south along the ocean, and less than a mile from the 5 freeway. There's a grocery store, drug store, and several good restaurants all within a 5 minute drive. Erika made sure that we had everything we needed, and was very responsive when we asked a question. She really wanted to make sure that we had a good time. We really appreciated how friendly and helpful she was. It was our first time visiting Del Mar, but it probably won't be our last!

We are from Austria and had a one week vacation at Erika's phantastic place: I can recommend this to families as well as couples. We have been there with our 6 year old daughter and it was great to be on the deck watching her in the heated pool 15 ft. away. Interior is very nice and you will feel very well there. It's not an anonymous rental flat but a quite luxurious appartment that has been equipped by the owner with love. Erika took care of us very well and gave us nice tipps. It's great to be 5 minutes off the race track. The beach is quite secluded and almost private for the condo. good with kids, as a beach guard is right there. We will come again, if possible.

We stayed a week at this property and found it to be wonderful. Convenient and well layed out, PLUS Erika was wonderful. Any issues (and they were all minor) were quickly taken care of. We stayed with our 2 y. o. son and our 17 y. o. niece, and everyone was happy. The stairs to the beach were a little too much for a little boy, but the pool was a big hit. We would highly recommend and look forward to returning in the future.

Erika was more than helpful in making our stay as comfortable as possible. The property has two nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was spacious and had all the accoutrements that one could need. Washer/Dryer unit allowed us to wash clothes. Heated pool just steps outside of the unit. Beach is short one minute walk away. Grocery store is short drive away. Restaurants about 5-7 min walk away. Quite close to Del Mar racetrack. Very quiet complex which was nice. Plasma TV with cable was nice touch. Wireless internet was also great and worked like a charm. plenty of chairs to relax in. Location was great to get to where we needed. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again when I am in San Diego.

Great Unit; Great Owner

We spent the week of May 24-June 1, 2008 here. The unit is amazingly well equipped. Unfortunately I had to bring work along but was helped by the Wi-Fi and direct high speed internet connections. The bed was very comfortable, the linens wonderful and the place immaculate. It fronts a pool and does not have a view of the ocean but that is just a few steps away. The ocean view from the complex's overlook is spectacular and it has private beach access. At low tide you can walk a long way north and south. Its near good shopping and excellent restaurants. Erika takes a lot of personal pride in this unit and it shows. We will be back and if I could I would give it six stars.

We had an excellant stay (2 adults, 3 kids). The owner was very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were great - they were never too crowded. The beach was beautiful and very close. The inside was nice and everything worked fine. The area was quiet and good for families.

WE are currently staying in this condo; it is all that is advertised and more. Tastefully furnished. We have been here almost 6 weeks and are not looking forward to leaving. We rented this condo for our family get-together over the holidays 2007. One son lives one exit away from the condo and the other son, wife and lab drove from Phoenix area to meet my husband, dog and me. There was room for all 6 of us at any meals we ate there and both bedrooms were comfortable for the 4 of us and 2 dogs staying in the condo. The bathroom towels were wonderful! Cooking in the kitchen was easy and Erika had everything needed. The location was great for us and the condo very comfortable and clean. We will hopefully get to do Del Mar again. We didn't have time to ride the bikes or use the jacuzzi!

We have been to this property twice this year and are always so happy to be there! The condo is very clean and modern, with all the amenities of home. Our family loves that we are just steps from the pool and jacuzzi and that we can walk to Del Mar Village. We also appreciate that the complex is quiet and very private. A perfect spot for a relaxing vacation by the beach!

We stayed during spring break (April 1-6) and it was still very quiet. The condo was clean and super comfortable. Lots of space for a family of 4. The furniture, especially the beds were awesome. Condo is close enough to theme parks for day trips. We will come again.
