We had a wonderful week at Islander 413. The condo was just as it looked online. Just steps away from the beach and the heated pool was just what the kids needed. We would love to return next year!

A year ago friends suggested we search VRBO and Home Away when we mentioned we wanted to visit the Destin area for a few weeks and did not want to disrupt the daily family routine of our daughter, son-in-law and their two small children who were transferred to Eglin Air Force Base. Two busy working parents with a 7 year old in school and a 2 year old in day care, makes for a busy, busy schedule. Although we were welcomed into their home for as long as we choose to stay, a condo on the Emerald Coast was calling us. I began my search last spring and finally choose The Islander, unit 413. I must admit I was very leary of committing to four weeks sight unseen. What an amazing experience and visit we have had. This unit is everything the pictures represent. Well appointed, comfortable, beautiful views and gorgeous sunsets from the balcony; we couldn't ask for more! We were able enjoy our grandchildren without disrupting homework and bedtime, welcomed them into our little bit of "Heaven on Earth" and fell in love with Destin. Plans are currently being put into place for our return to this lovely spot. Thank you to Dennis and Sharon for such a lovely "home away from home." The Schmidt's

My husband and I spent a week in this condo and really enjoyed our stay. The condo is lovely with a great view from the balcony. We had everything we needed and the location was perfect. We wished we could have stayed longer. The beautiful beach and blue and green water is so mesmerizing. We drove along 30a. And admired all the pristine beach towns. We stayed a week in the condo and truly enjoyed our time. The kids enjoyed the space and loved walking to the beach to spend some time in the water. The condo was very clean and in great order.

We had a great vacation. Very clean and well maintained. Comfortable and attractive. Like the proximity to the beach, etc. Also nice was the free umbrella/chair service and the towel change-out. We had a lovely stay.

Best Spring Break Ever!!!

This was my family and I first trip to Destin,Florida. After countless hours of searching Homeway for different vacation properties we kept coming back to this unit. Being a professional Decorator myself, I found this unit to be the only unit that actually looked liked a tropical getaway. Once we arrived it was better than the pictures on the website. We had not one problem the whole time we were there. The staff friendly and professional. The beach was breathe taking and my kids were able to surf on some big waves. The city had a lot to offer for sightseeing and family activities. They even have a free alligator park were the kids can actually feed the gators at Fudruckers. The have the best strip mall and when we rented this unit we also received a free family pack which including free rounds of golf and miniature golf. We we so impressed that we will be returning this summer.

My family stayed in Condo #413 for our first family vacation. We had a blast. The condo is clean and very tastefully decorated. It is situated close to the beach, with a great view of the ocean from the oversized balcony. The staff was well informed and helped us utilize and enjoy the amentites that comes allong with the room (Golf, Putt-Putt, Free Movies, Beach Set Up, etc). Everything was taken care of. We spent our days on the beach, and enjoyed many of the local restaurants at night. Our favorite place to eat was McGuires Irish Pub (Family Friendly). I would reccomend this condo for any family that is looking to get away and relax.

We have vacationed in Destin several times during the past 15 years and every time we have stayed at the Islander, specifically unit 413. Since our first visit was such a great experience we decided to repeat everything, as long as we continued to be satisfied with our stay. With the recent remodeling and complimentary daily beach setup, it is a safe bet that we will continue our visits to Unit 413 of the Islander. The unit is attractively decorated and fully furnished, including multiple TVs and an awesome surround sound system. We recently spent a week at the Islander with two couples who stayed in another unit. Our unit, 413, was used as our “base” for activities because of the amenities it offers. In addition to the white sandy beach, Destin offers a wide range of activities and dining experiences. We particularly appreciate the free round of golf offered daily by the Islander at one of the premier golf courses in the area. We are already looking forward to our next stay at Unit 413 of the Islander

My husband and I stayed in the Islander Unit 413 for the week of Oct. 10. The condo is beautifully furnished with a great master bed mattress which is important to us when we travel. The furniture was very comfortable and stylish with beutiful colors. The crown molding was a nice touch. The personnel at the resort were great and the grounds and pools are immaculate. There were lots of small kids there due to school fall breaks, however the condo was quiet and we had no issues with noise. The location was also very convenient. The free beach set up was very appreciated. I have rented from VBRO three times and this was my best experience. I highly recommend this condo.

You can't go wrong staying at the Island View! It is easy to find, clean, well kept, and has plenty of parking. There is easy access to the beach, both pools and hot tubs. It is located close to several nice restaurants and shopping areas.

The Islander is the perfect place to stay while in Destin. Everyone that worked at the condo and everyone who stayed there were very friendly and ready to answer any questions we had about the condo or the city. We were able to find the hotspots that only locals knew about as well as the tourist favorites. The beach was never overcrowded or too thin, which gives the option to sit and read a book or meet with new people every day. Plus, there were dolphins that swam by almost daily which made this section of the beach even more exciting. The unit itself was very clean and offered everything you need to complement your stay in Destin. We were able to walk through a few other units at the Islander, and Mr. Schlott's was by far the best value in terms of the way it was decorated and the bonuses such as the TVs, surround system, and free daily beach setup. Any return trips to Destin will definitely be to one of Mr. Schlott's units!

Perfect family getaway...

Our family visited The Islander (unit 413) in May of 2009. It was our first time in the Destin area and we found it to be a perfect family getaway. The area is very clean and family-friendly with lots of great restaurants, shopping areas, etc. Destin and The Islander provide a great atmosphere for small children. Unit 413 is very spacious, modern, and well decorated - and the kitchen is well equipped. We loved the High Definition flat panel TV's in the unit as well. The high-speed Wi-Fi service came in very handy for us as well. I would highly, highly recommend this condo for families looking for a quiet, relaxing, and beautiful area to get away from it all! We're planning to come back in 2010!

Lovely condo wonderfully located. Lots of bonus entertainment included. Only problem was the walkways were not kept clean and could become slippery. Have recommeded to friends.
