Description
Casa Carmelina is a very private Mexican Colonial-style house with ocean views, located 150 yards from the beach and is one mile south of the town of Puerto Vallarta in the Conchas Chinas neighborhood, making it an easy walk to town via the beach or coastal road.

Casa Carmelina has four bedrooms with king sized beds, all opening onto the large terrace where the tiled pool is located. There are four and one half bathrooms. It is ideal for up to eight people. The house has marble and tile floors throughout and it has approximately 5000 square feet of total living space. It has a fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining room, and bar area. The house has open ventilation, and each bedroom has a ceiling fan, no air conditioning. The house has cable TV with English channels, VCR, DVD CD and stereo.

Staff
The staff of three is what keeps satisfied customers coming back! Lucio does the shopping, cooking, and everything else you could imagine. Margarita cleans the whole house everyday, changes the linen, and helps in the meal service and general happiness of the guests. The price of the rental includes their services, preparation of two meals per day plus afternoon appetizers (Botanas), six days per week (Sundays off). At the end of the stay, the guests are presented with a detailed bill from the store(s) of the food and beverage cost for payment. The quality preparation of the food along with the modest cost of the fresh ingredients makes staying at Casa Carmelina a bargain when compared to the alternative cost of eating at restaurants is taken into consideration. Staff tips are up to the guests and are much appreciated.

Keep in mind that check-in is at 3:00 PM and check out is at 12:00 noon. This can be flexible if other guests are not checking in or out on the same day.

In the interim, my group was larger & we stayed at an adjaent villa, but am delited to say our return to Casa Carmelina will be like going home.   • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Carmelina! We have been to Puerto Vallarta previously but stayed in a hotel and found the spaciousness and location of Casa Carmelina much more enjoyable. Add to that, the generous hospitality exhibited by Lucio, Margarita and Olivia and we had 10 glorious days that could not be surpassed.

  • This was our first major trip anywhere and we are now spoiled for life. Casa Carmelina was beautiful and Lucio, Margarita and Olivia were wonderful. Puerto Vallarta was great but our delicious meals and time spent at the house is what really made the trip special. I can't wait to go back someday.

  • I can't begin to describe what an amazing time we had in Puerto Vallarta and especially at Casa Carmelina. We looked forward to the meals that Lucio would cook up for us. He was so accomidating to whatever we wanted and whatever times we wanted to eat. Margarita kept our rooms and the house spotless. We felt so at home with Lucio, Olivia and Margarita. Lucio even helped us call to arrange some tours. We had full access to the bar with a blender and fridge right there whenever we felt the need to make a margarita or pina colada. It has only been a few weeks since we left and we miss Casa Carmelina already!

    Hi, Kelly, Deb and I just wanted to send a personal thank you for allowing our family to utilize Casa Carmelina as the setting for our daughter's wedding on January 5. Our time at Casa Carmelina was extraordinary, and Lindsey commented that it was the wedding of her dreams. Poolside became our sanctuary, and a flight of pelicans encircled the altar as Lindsey and Jason said their vows--and our photographer even caught that moment on film!!! The house was just wonderful, and Margarita and Olivia kept it and the grounds spotless. As extraordinary as the house was--it was Lucio, Margarita, and Olivia who made our experience unforgettable. We cannot say enough about their hospitality, their kindness, and their attention to meeting our every need. Also, how do I say this? My step-dad is a high maintenance person, but Lucio, Margarita, and Olivia never batted an eye, and met his demands with seeming ease--they must be saints! The food was fabulous, and I would recommend Lucio's cooking to anyone. Olivia was so engaging, and she was bound and determined that I would be able to communicate with her in Spanish--what a good teacher. Margarita was everywhere, and really paid attention to the details in our rooms. Lucio went above and beyond and took care of everything--from various illnesses, to taxi reservations, and even saw to the wedding cake. We had things almost before we asked for them. Kelly, you are blessed with a superb staff! We feel so blessed to have enjoyed Casa Carmelina for our daughter's special event. It will exist in our memories forever--however Deb and I hope to book it again with some special friends. We know it will be a class experience for everyone.   • Our first trip to Puerto Vallarta was fantastic. We LOVED Casa Carmelina. The location is perfect, the beach was close by, and the home is absolutely wonderful. The bedrooms were spacious, the pool was crystal clear and the set up was awesome, but the best part was Lucio, Olivia and Margarita. Their hospitality was second to none. The meals they cooked were fabulous and they were always available if you needed anything. We enjoyed our walks along the beach into town and all the fun things to do there but mostly enjoyed relaxing at Casa Carmelina with our friends. Kelly was a great help with all of our questions and went out of his way to help us with everything. If we ever visit PV again we would DEFINITELY stay at Casa Carmelina again. Highly recommended by us. Thanks for the wonderful vacation memories.

  • November 2006 was my third visit to Casa Carmelina and it was even more wonderful than before. You see, Lucio, Margarita and now Olivia, are like family to us. They have shared in wedding photos, meeting our children and now sharing in pictures of our grandson. It is like a journey over the years and we so look forward to every opportunity we have to be at the wonderful villa and share time with our fabulous hosts and friends who are always there. The food is spectacular, the home exquisite and the overall feeling of welcome and family is something you can't get anywhere that I have ever been.   • Our week at Casa Carmelina was pretty close to heaven! We took our three children, spouses and grandchild and each one of us had a marvelous time. We enjoyed time just relaxing around the house and pool the most. Lucio, Margarit and Oliva made our week complete. They seem to know what we wanted before we did and took care of all our needs! It was a wonderful experience.
