Casa "Las Conchas" is situated at the center of Club Santiago's protected mile long beachfront on Santiago Bay, midway between the airport and the port of Manzanillo.
The casa is designed in traditional Mexican style with an interior patio and fountain at the street entrance. This is a quiet and secure transition space, away from the street, and secured by both wrought iron gates and heavy wooden doors. It is a safe storage and staging area for bulky items such as luggage, golf clubs, coolers, and fishing gear.
Two of the casa's four bedrooms are on opposing sides of this patio. This arrangement provides separation of space and privacy for occupants. The two other bedrooms are on opposite sides of the great room. All have private baths.
The interior great room, or sala, contains the entertainment center, conversation areas, wet bar and vaulted dining alcove. A high arched window wall with sliding glass doors opens to a covered terrace on the beachfront.
The kitchen also opens to the terrace, the pool and ocean, and has a separate service entrance. It conviently serves the entertainment area, interior dining spaces, and the terrace and pool area for outdoor dining. Two refrigerator/freezers offer redundancy for those all important entertainment needs. Outside, tall jasmine hedges, stone walls and the beach wall provide privacy. A full time houskeeper provides cleaning and maid service and will also assist in the kitchen. If you wish, she can usually arrange for a cook.
Club Santiago, a private community with a multinational mixture of second and permanent home owners, has it's own nine hole golf course. |
