We are family of 4 from upstate NY. We received the "Golden Snowball" award if that gives you an idea about our winters. Emerald Isle was exactly what we needed. It is a quiet beach town that hasn't been over run by tourism. There are many restaurants and local activities to keep you busy. The owner provides and excellent list of local attractions.We enjoyed walking the beach with our dogs and taking in the local sea turtles, horses and plant life. Zanzibar felt like home. There are plenty of pots and pans to cook with, puzzles and books. The Bose surround sound system made movie watching fun! There is a lot of love in this home. We will return again.

great house and terrific location.. this is the 2nd time we have stayed in emerald isle... the last time we were at the other end of the town so it was nice to explore this end... great house...well stocked kitchen.. nice decor and fantastic front deck... we have 2 yorkies and they loved watching what was going on from the deck...the owner was extremely helpful.. she provides a list of their favorite restaurants, fish mongers, activies and the best place to buy shrimp... would definately stay here again :)
