Asheville cabin description

Please note: We do not advertise on Craig's List. You are being scammed if you are booking with someone who wants you to wire US dollars.

This is a 'Peace' of Cloud 9 Farm where the two of you will have secluded privacy and a hot tub facing the woods.

Close to the Biltmore Estate and Asheville (15 min. away), Heavenly Hideaway was created with romantic couples in mind...a 'peace of heaven' awaits you. It is a place to get away with privacy and adventure of the outdoors on Cloud 9 Farm. Yes, that's right, this cabin is on our Conservation Farm with the owner living amongst this 200 acres...mostly woods but a valley to see our cows, swimming hole, chickens and U-Pick blueberries. You are half way up the hill top in the woods.

Everything you need is in this cozy, 750 square foot cabin with cathedral ceilings plus a full length deck that leads to an under-the-stars hot tub. Wireless internet, HGTV and Blue Ray.

All is on one level, with one easy step inside from driveway door. 15 foot high cathedral ceilings, unique hand-carved timbers (find the massive hand-chiseled dove-tail), mountain laurel accents and specially milled red oak-paneled walls, surround you in luxurious cabin-style that smells of wood. Enjoy air conditioning or the cool mountain breezes that Blue Ridge Mountains can brag about in the heat of summer. Groceries are just 3.5 miles away as well as a cute 'Local Joint Cafe' for meals. Request a breakfast layout or stocking of the fridge for a small fee. Fresh, farm eggs come with every rental when the hens are laying.

Entering this 200 acres of invitation-only private estate, you will feel transported back in time, the way life should be. There are so many trails to explore, you could be entertained here without having to leave! 'Cocoon' right here ... tilt all the way back in the leather sofa in front of the big screen TV/fireplace. Bedroom and bath are separate rooms in this 750 sq ft cabin.

Need more room? Check out Cloud 9 Relaxation Home farther up the hill for 2 to 6 people. see VRBO #34641

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very well appointed with everything one could think of -- dishes, pots, pans, toiletries, a variety of pillows, etc. The cleanliness was top notch and the views and trails breathtaking! Janet was an incredible host and showed us around the farm and property, giving freely of her time, despite being so busy. We couldn't have expected or asked for more! Thank you, Janet, for such a relaxing, rejuvenating stay!

Owner response: We always like to show off the farm and your compliments make our bib overalls burst off our chests. Yes, we have an assortment of pillows to choose from because we know how important a pillow can be for delta brain wave deep sleep. Our newest addition are 2 pillows with memory foam inserts.

My husband and I spent our 25th wedding anniversary in the Heavenly Hideaway cabin and had the best time ever. We felt welcome the from the moment we got there until the time we left. We explored the property, played with the cows and chickens, fished in the pond, and just relaxed. The cabin and property is just a perfect as the pictures you see online so there is no need to worry you will be in something different. We can't wait to return next year and stay longer.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, pet owners, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Owner response: And April is such a pretty time to visit with all the fields greening up and the new, bright, lime-colored leaves of the Tulip Poplar and the red maple just budding leaves on the mountain. Yes, your three nights was just too short, wasn't it? Future renters…take note! 25th anniversary or ANY anniversary, the Heavenly Hideaway cabin is perfect!

I spent 2 nights here and the "Heavenly Hideaway" Cabin is perfect for a single traveler or a couple. The couch by the TV folds out to a bed, so it could accompany more if need be. My husband enjoyed the jacuzzi where I appreciated the king size bed and reading on it. There is a swing on a sunny area of the back porch that is perfect for reading and laying on. Janet, the owner, was very helpful, making recommendations on where to eat and showing us around the farm. We hiked Buzzards Roost, a high mountain on the property. Not for the feint at heart! If you are at a crossroads in life and want to get away from civilization, this place is for you. I can appreciate the simple toiletries in the bathroom that you could not get at a hotel. When you arrive, there is a dozen of colorful eggs for you in the refrigerator. We had omelets both days we were here with coffee. It was delicious! It is so neat to think we are living on the side of a mountain. You really feel like a part of nature here.

Thanks again for renting your lovely Hideaway to us for a weekend getaway! We enjoyed the hiking in the woods, exploring the property, the jacuzzi and downtown Asheville as well. Thanks for allowing Bingley to join us on our trip. We are convinced that Bingley is a mountain dog! He LOVED exploring your property! He tried his best to intimidate the wild turkeys and the farm cows. The cows continued enjoying their food and just looked at him as if to say "Are you kidding me? You're a peanut, we can step on you and that would be that!" The turkeys were traveling along, minding their business, when a 5 pound Yorkie started shouting at them to get lost! They listened, stepped up the pace and were gone in no time! We are convinced that this really was Bingley's weekend getaway, not ours! We will refer all our friends and family to you when they plan a mountain getaway. Best of luck, health and happiness to you! Concord, NC

This was a wonderful weekend get away. A beautiful cozy cabin far enough away so that you didn't hear traffic, but close enough to go into Asheville. The description and pictures of the cabin were exactly as listed on the VRBO site. One of the best things was that we were able to bring our dogs. They loved the walks and getting to meet the cows & chickens....:-) The owner was so nice and friendly. Will definitely go back again and recommend to all our friends and family.

Owner response: Yes, bring the dogs! And you don't have to drive anywhere to walk them. Just step off the deck and you have nature trails to explore in the woods complete with wild smells for your pooch's delight.

We have stayed at numerous cabins and condos and this one exceeds all others. This is the first time in a while that I have actually fully relaxed in some time. The privacy and amenities are exceptional. We enjoyed our hike to the top of the hill, the view was great. The hot tub under the stars was perfect. Hoping to bring friends back to stay at the larger rental, Cloud 9, sometime in the near future. Thank you for sharing this beautiful property and all your hospitality.

Owner response: It's fun, isn't it?, that you can be a world away at Heavenly Hideaway Cabin even though it is a 2 hour drive for you to get here! We specialize in privacy and quiet. Thanks for noticing.

This place has FAR exceeded our expectations! Our dogs’ first vacation has gone so much better than expected. We love the trails and the beautiful fireplace. Next time we come, we will definitely be staying here and have to have some slower days that allow to take advantage of the hot tub and spend more time seeing the farm. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Vero Beach. FL

There really isn’t one word that can do Heavenly Hideaway justice. I will say for us it has been “Heaven Sent”. No one knows like we know how much we really needed a place just like this. God is an awesome God and we are so grateful for your parent’s vision then your extended vision to preserve this farm. You will be in our prayers from here on out. May every couple that enters these doors feel the Awesome Peace that we have had the pleasure of experiencing. We will be back! Wingate, NC

Our Days here have been more than perfect. When planning our trip for our first wedding anniversary, we had a vision in mind…well Cloud 9 completely exceeded our expectations and made the idea we had in mind seem so minimal! There is no detail missed here and we are so thankful that you opened your “home” to provide us with a romantic escape. This has been such a memorable experience and we will certainly be back! About the owner: Janet, here, your hostess at Cloud 9 Properties, LLC. You'll find me in the Blueberry Patch most of the time, because in July we have a U-Pick farm but the rest of the time I'm tending the plants. Our sing-a-long jingle on Cloud 9 Farm is 'Beds, Berries, Trees, Beef and Honey Bees' I guess you're most interested in the 'Beds' part, but the cows, chickens, pollination honey bees, and forestry management you might want to tour because it all makes Heavenly Hideaway a unique place. I live on the farm, too.

                          Why the Owner Chose Asheville:
My family home, Cloud 9 Relaxation Home, a ranch style home over-looking the Blue Ridge Mountain valleys of Fairview, just 15 miles SE of Asheville, NC has been completely updated and is the premier hilltop location for views and gatherings up to 8 people. But the cozy cabin, Heavenly Hideaway, in the woods, with a hot tub off the main driveway is where you want to be for a private couples get-away.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Besides the fun of watching the sun rise or early morning hikes on Cloud 9 Farm where you can hear the cows crunching on the lush grass in the pasture, see wood ducks or a blue heron fly in to investigate Peterson pond or hike the mountain trails...besides all that, in 15 minutes you can be on the Biltmore Estate or in downtown Asheville going to an eclectic local foods restaurant or get to Chimney Rock Park and Lake Lure for the afternoon. I recommend the scenic boat ride/dinner tour. In Asheville, you must see the Grove Park Inn and Spa for a lunch on Sunset Terrace or splurge on the spa. (But I do know some day spas, too, just ask.) Waterfalls? Ah, yes, just 40 min. on the Blue Ridge Parkway...Looking Glass Falls, but Dupont state park has 4 unique falls for a great day trip. And don't forget Sliding Rock, bring your oldest cut-off jeans to wear splashing.
