Wonderful Vacation at Casacaterina!

I would recommend this property to anyone. It was located in a beautiful setting with panoramic views of the Tuscan hillside. The house was spacious, very clean, and very well stocked with anything a traveler might need. The owners were charming and helpful. There were so many things to do in the area and places to eat. I wish we could return next week!

You never really know what you will get when you rent online, but Casa Caterina far exceeded our expectations! The home is spacious, quiet, spotless, and very comfortable, as we had hoped. But we never expected the spectacular view of the Chianti hills that greeted us as we rounded the corner to the home. We were greeted by Caterina and Marco, and were given all kinds of help by Fillipo, both before and during our stay. Tavernelle is great, central location, with easy access to the main roads. We had also considered staying in Greve in Chianti, which also looks central on the map. However, it was a very long, very windy ride up very steep hills to Greve...we would not have liked to do it every day. Tuscany is a beautiful place and we can't wait to go back. Jon and Linda

Wow! is what we said when we get to Casa Caterina. The panorama is wonderful, this place is totaly perfect. Every comments made on this property are true. We will add that the owners are charming and available to help anytime. They take care of the property themselves and it shows. Nothing is missing. No need to rush to the grocery store for foil paper, oil of soap everything is there. The appartment is very confortable. We felt at home. We would recommend Casa Caterina to anyone looking for a well located, clean, nicely decorated and confortable vacation rental in Chianti.

A Wonderful Stay

We spent an incredible 7 nights at Casacaterina in September. Caterina, Marco and Filipo were terrific. The villa is beautiful, well appointed, and in a perfect location. We were able to get all over Tuscany with a simple short ride. We absolutely fell in love with the villa and Tuscany. Thank you for such a perfect week. Even the weather cooperated! The property was clean, the owners left tourist information about the area, and I would highly recommend the villa. We are looking forward to some day returning and hopefully spending more time exploring the region, and relaxing in Casacaterina. Thank you Caterina for sharing your home with us.

An outstanding holiday at CasaCaterina

My husband and I just finished our 3 week holiday in Italy which included 6 nights at this fabulous property. We got a bit lost getting to house, but Filippo and his parents Caterina and Marco got us there without a question. The home is beautiful with the most incredible views of the area. A wonderfully central location to get to all of the Tuscan towns. And to come back each evening to this wonderful home. The place is immaculate (Thank you dear Caterina), with all of the luxuries I would love to have at home - a terrace overlooking the valley, grapes growing outside your door, rosemary and olive trees. A wonderful week and we hoping to return to enjoy the Villa and Tuscany again. Thank you ~ Lissa & Niles Block

hello everybody our stay in the casa caterina was really fantastic. The hous is situated on a hill with a view on the olive trees and vineyards, really beautifull. The cosy roof terrace will let you enjoy the sun going under in the evening. And last but not least, the owners are the most friendly and nice Italians you can meet. They give you all the help you need. Thank you for that!!!! We certainly will go back one day. Verry good location to plan trips in Tuscany because it isn't far away from the most places in Tuscany. The village is small but you can find everything you need. Really worth staying!!!

Hello Caterina, we had a wonderful 4 days at Casa Caterina. The accomodations were great and the setting so beautiful and peacefull. It was amazing waking up to the most gorgeous view of the valley and hills beyond. We had great meals in Tavernelle and toured the countryside. We loved coming back to Casa Caterina after a busy day in Florence or driving around. Having the internet came in very handy for us and espiecially my boys. Thanks for everything!! We stayed at this house for 9 nights in October. It was PERFECT!! The place is even better then the pictures show. It has a very 'out of the way' feeling, but close to anything you would want. This was a great base for us to take day trips all over Tuscany. There was only my husband and I, but the place is very big and spacious for more. The views from the house are stunning. The place is very quiet. It had everything we needed to have a magical stay in Tuscany. Thank you Fillippo and Caterina ~Brigette

A Tuscan Dream

Myself, husband and 14 year old son spent 4 nights here in September. It was everything and more we had hoped for and our only regret was that we spent so much time exploring Tuscany that we never got to use the beautiful pool. We stocked up on food from the local Co-op supermarket and were amazed to find prices on average half what you would pay in Australia (to other Aussies, make sure you tag your fruit and vegies before going to the checkout). The locals were amazingly friendly and helpful The day trips to San G, Pisa and Siena were unforgetable and to come home to our Tuscan Villa at the end of these long days to enjoy dinner and a drink on the terrace was a perfect end to a perfect day. The Villa was spotless and the views amazing, much more stunning than the photos show. Car is a must. Filipo and Caterina were so helpful both before we left Australia and also when we were in Italy. When we left this Villa we then spent 2 nights at their apartment in Florence, and our experience there just as good as this Villa. When we return to Italy, we will definintely book to stay here again and would recommend both of their properties to friends and family.

Just 30 minutes from Florence, yet feels like a world away when you just want to relax. We spent a week here while exploring Tuscany. Nothing is too far away. A perfect home base with all the comforts of home and more. The pool was a great treat and being able to enjoy meals on the terrace was like a dream. We would highly recommend this property.

Welcome to an oasis...beautifully decorated, with great charm. We were warmly greeted by owner, who provided many great suggestions of restaurants to try and places to visit. The unit is part of a larger complex, but you still feel that you have your privacy. It was exactly as we'd pictured based on internet images. The pool was exquisite! Regularly maintained by owners and perfect for young children, as not too deep. It is an excellent location for exploring little villages and towns of Tuscany, and close to Florence to the north and San Gimignano and Siena to the south. The views from the unit are breathtaking! Memorable sunsets viewed from the balcony, rolling hills, and villages. The property is perfect for a family of 4. If you are looking for an authentic Tuscany experience, that is relaxing and rejuvenating, then this is the place for you!!!

This a wonderful property for 4 people. The accommodations were just as in the pictures except that the view from the kitchen was wonderful and the sunsets incredible and they are not pictured. Our hosts were helpful , accommodating, and very willing to clear up a misunderstanding about dates. They were right that there is so much to see and do in the area and yet a day just "at home" at this apartment is lovely! We would definitely recommend this to anyone and encourage you to stay longer than you think you need. We were here 3 days and so sad to leave. It is easy to get to Sienna, Florence even to Lucca. You can explore so many places from this central location. We hope to return again and again.

Beautifull Caterina in Chianti

We used Villa Caterina to explore Chianti and a lot of Tuscany. It is perfectly located halfway between Sienna and Firenze and not that far from Pize. Access to autoroute is only minutes away. The small town of Tavarnelle provides access to all services; a great food store, internet cafe or free internet at the public library, ABM's, nice little shops and cafes and a public market weekly. The Villa is out of the way on a very quiet road. It is very well appointed in every aspect and met all our expectations. The view from the terrace is spectacular and has been with us ever since. We would go back any time.

We recently stayed at Casa Caterina and had a wonderful time. We wanted a good home base to explore Tuscany with our two young boys. The place exceeded our expectations and was a perfect launching point for our visits to Siena, Florence (convenient bus out of nearby Tavernelle) and many of the local towns including San Gimignano and Monteriggioni. Plenty of good restaurants and wineries to explore - we just scratched the surface. Nearby grocery store had everything we needed. The boys enjoyed the pool everyday and was a perfect way to cool off after spending most of the day walking and exploring. The villa was the perfect size for us and had everything we needed. The views were breath-taking and we enjoyed having dinner on the upper terrace with spectacular panaroma. Peaceful, picturesque and great food/wine. Simply a fantastic vacation and we will try to make it back in the future!

We just finished a week stay in beautiful Casa Caterina and we hated to leave. The house is perfectly appointed and the views from every room are spectacular. We used Casa Caterina as our base for touring most of Tuscany. It is ideally located between Firenze and Siena and is perfect for touring the great wine regions. You can see San Gimignano from the terrace. We also enjoyed just spending a day at the house, soaking up the views, the fresh air, and the ambience. A wonderful vacation. I hope we can return someday.
