Excellent roomy property

Guest: Simon (London)
Date of Stay: 02/08/11 Review Submitted: 02/22/11

I and 8 others stayed here in February for some sightseeing and to attend a convention at the weekend. With a mix of couples and singles we needed somewhere that could accommodate us all, and not be too pricy, and this house did it! At the end of a cobbled mews right next to La Fourche metro station this was excellently positioned for getting into central Paris (via Place de Clichy metro) and also only 20 minutes from Gare du Nord. The main living area was really big, with a great table for dining, a comfortable TV pit for lounging, and a sofa set and coffee table. The kitchen was a little small to comfortably use for 8 or so people, but there was also a utility room which housed appliances, supplies, and cutlery. The bedrooms were all a good size and comfortable, with some interesting access for the loft and mezzanine bed, not ideal for the elderly! The owner, Orianne, was extremely helpful and provided an extra set of keys for us, and made sure everyone had her contact details, as well as providing local information about nearest supermarkets and services. Overall I and my party were extremely pleased with our stay, and the only detractor I can think of is that all the floorboards are very squeeky!

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Family Reunion in the perfect Parisian Home

Guest: Matt and Kim (Colorado Springs, CO, USA)

We dreamed of getting together with our 7 children in Paris, and the dream came true!!! The home, the location, the atmosphere couldn't have been better, and Oriane is a wonderful owner/property manager. We hope to rent from her in the future. All nine of us fit with ease, and it is the perfect place to come back to after a long day of taking in all the wonderful sights, sounds, tastes, museums, etc. of the truly amazing world of Paris! It will be a memory of our family that will last and last, and we couldn't have planned a better vacation/family reunion situation. Thank you Oriane!

Christmas in Paris

Guest: Anjabh (Dubai)
Date of Stay: 12/17/10 Review Submitted: 02/06/11

We spent Christmas 2010 in Paris staying at this property there were 5 of us 2 adults & 3 teenage children. The property is ideally located close to the metro which we used frequently and is ideal for traveling around Paris. The apartment is spacious with plenty of room for a family to spread out and lots of separate living areas so privacy can be assured. The local neighborhood is great for grocery shopping and bakeries are also nearby. We would highly recommend this property for families who want to experience life in a real ( not too touristy) part of Paris.

Stayed in this property in October 2010

We very much enjoyed this house in the hart of Paris. Very close to the subway, or a 20 minute walk to Galeries LaFayette. Very spacious place for Paris... at the end of a quiet gated street. Restored (but they kept its original cachet) and well equiped. Grocery stores and bakeries nearby. Very nice and helpful owner who lives nearby. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely Parisian Townhouse

Guest: Deborah (Nesconset, New York, USA)
Date of Stay: 07/10/10 Review Submitted: 07/27/10

There were seven of us - my parents, my husband and myself, and our three daughters. We had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The property is clean, well-maintained and comfortable, and the artwork is wonderful. There was plenty of china and cutlery and we had no trouble preparing meals. Having a washer and dryer was also a real bonus. The house is very conveniently located, extremely close to the Metro and shopping. The owner is friendly and helpful, and she provided a big book full of instructions and advice that made things very easy. We walked almost every day to the bakery for fresh bread and croissants, and ate out at Wepler. We would love to stay there again and hope to do so in the future.

The Right Choice

Guest: The Travelers (Colorado, USA)
Date of Stay: 05/22/10 Review Submitted: 06/29/10

This house was perfect for our stay in Paris. We were a group of nine. Oriane's home had a sitting/conversation area, a tv viewing area with lounging sofas, and a dining area with the farmhouse table able to accommodate all of us. The home was very clean and well maintained. It was well stocked with tableware and there were plenty of extra towels and sheets. We wanted a relaxing holiday. Oriane's home was located at the end of a private street. There were small trees and flowering bushes along the curb. There were flowering herbs growing in the window box out our front window. It was quiet at home yet the muted sounds of others living along our little street kept us from feeling isolated. I could hear birds singing during the day. In the bookcases of our home were novels of all kinds, histories, biographies and many books about Paris. We wanted to be spontaneous. The private street of Oriane's home was a block from the nearest Metro station, allowing us to come and go readily. We bought fresh bread each morning from the bakery around the corner. We bought foodstuffs from the nearby market on the way home if we felt like cooking dinner. One night we had take out pizza. Another night we ate out at a wonderful restaurant recommended by Oriane. This house would be a great choice for large families wanting a mellow, extended stay in Paris and France.

Ten of us spent a week in the house in April 2010. The house is down a pretty cobbled mews off the main road, and is very quiet. The area is very central, it is close to the Metro for exploring Paris, and you can also walk to the town centre if you are feeling active. There is a wonderful bakery nearby, and fresh food markets as well, including a farmer's market on a Saturday. In addition, we had a meal cooked for us by a friend of Oriane (the owner) which was absolutely fantastic!

This is a large apartment perfect for a big group, hard to beat for the price. I searched high and low for accommodation for our group of 9 and could not come close to the value offered by this apartment. The neighbourhood around the apartment is fantastic and much more genuine than many of the more famous parisian neighbourhoods. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Oriane is a great host and very helpful with all our little queries. The mobile phones with pre-pay french sim cards were a nice addition too. There are some great restaurants, cafe's and parks nearby too. The only minor detractors from our stay were: -some minor issues with plumbing -pillows and quilts were getting a bit old.

Our family (2 adults, two teenagers and a child) stayed here in January, 2010. The house is located very conveniently near shops, transport and restaurants, yet is completely quiet and secluded at the end of a private, gated street. It's also quite spacious (for Paris) and has the look and feel of a real home. We also found the owner very hospitable, friendly and welcoming. We'd warmly recommend it to any family looking for comfort, space and convenience with a splash of Parisian personality!

It is conveniently located near two metros, and there are good markets and restaurants close by. The owner is helpful and accommodating. I would unhesitatingly recommend this rental.

We stayed with our children and grandchild to celebrate our Ruby Wedding anniversary. An excellent choice for an extended family. The house is quiet and offers plenty of space. The cobbled alley provides a delightful approach. This is an excellent location from which to explore the city especially with the metro being so close. Internet access from the house is good. The owner was very helpful and responded promptly during the straightforward booking process.

Fabulous Parisian rental

Guest: LoobyB (London)
Date of Stay: 08/28/09 Review Submitted: 09/05/09

Fantastic house - loads of room for a group/family. So much character and has everything you need for home away from home. All the little details have been thought of. The owner was wonderful to deal with, and very helpful and the rental transaction was made very easy. There is a huge folder of information on the surrounding area - recommendations for eating out etc. The house is located very close to a metro station, a decent sized supermarket plus loads of restaurants. The house is down a private, gated, cobbled lane - off of a busy street. This meant it felt safe at night as always plenty of people around, yet it was far enough off the main street to be so peaceful and quiet. Couldn't hear any street noise at all. Would highly recommend.

My family and our friends family stayed at Oriene's home in the beggining of June for a week. We had a fabulous time. It was centrally located, metro down the street along with grocery, baker, and butcher. Neighbors were very polite and helpful. We were quite comfortable and would stay there again if we are fortunate to be able to return to Paris. You will not be disappointed. Oriene is very helpful.

What a pleasure to be able to stay at Oriane's wonderful house tucked away from Parisian bustle at the end of a short allee. The house was very comfortable and the spacious downstairs area gave plenty of room for our group of 9. Sitting around the table outside the front of the house at the aperitif hour felt like being in the countryside even though we were only a few metro stops from central Paris. Highly recommended.

We loved this home!. We rented it during the summer of 09 and there was room for all ten of us....four children and six adults. The location was very convenient to the metro and everything else. The house is very well equipped and the owner was delightfully pleasant and helpful. We felt we were extremely lucky to have found this spot online. We would definitely rent it again. Don't hesitate!

Secluded yet convenient

Guest: Tennis Fans (Kentucky/Florida)
Date of Stay: 05/21/09 Review Submitted: 06/07/09

Our group of six stayed here during the French Open Tennis tournament in late May and were delighted with the apartment. Spread out over 6 levels, it was comfortable and never crowded. Everything worked well, bathrooms & showers included. Skylights made it bright and open. The location at the end of a private pedestrian court made the apt secluded yet it was literally steps away from the subway stop and a good supermarket. But even better were the small bakery and cheese shop around the corner on Rue des Dames and the organic market on Rue de Batignolles on Saturday was superb! The place was exactly as advertised and the owner was accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were a party of 7, mixed adults and children. We found the beds comfy, plenty of hot water for showers, and clean conditions. The area where the townhouse is located near a full array of restaurants, bakeries and coffee bars. Catching the metro to visit sites downtown Paris and outside Paris was a breeze. Oriane was able to accomodate a special request and was extremely easy to work with. I would happily stay here again. Thanks for some great memories!

This house is amazing... contemporary, spacious, clean, and cozy. Great restaurants and one of a kind Parisian shopping boutiques within a short walking distance. Just next to a Metro stop and easy to hail taxis. We sincerely enjoyed staying here and did not want to leave. We highly recommend staying in this house while in Paris.

We had a great time staying in this house. There was plenty of space for 3 generations of my family to all spend time together and relax. A very convenient base from which to explore Paris - an excellent supermarket literally around the corner, the metro very close by, as well as traditional shops (bakery, butcher etc) in a neighborhood street. There are very few places available that offer this amount of space, character and convenience - highly recommended.

The space in this rental is unbeatable. Plenty of comfortable bedrooms for the six of us, and a unique and exceptionally functional living room/dining room. The added charm of the private cobbled street under a minute to the metro (if you hurry!)is hard to top. Groups of 6 or more should not even look anywhere else.

Just returned from a trip to Paris, Venice and Rome -- in each locale, we rented an apartment for our family of 7, and by far, this town house was the best. Roomy, convenient to metro and the most gracious and accomodating owner/host. If wireless internet is a must for your family - the unit here works well (we have learned that other properties promise on this, but don't deliver). We would highly recommend this property to our friends.

This was a great place to stay! We were a group of 7 women traveling together and found it very accommodating--especially the 2 1/2 baths! It was large enough for everyone to have some space but intimate enough to enjoy each other. Location, location, location--on and off the metro in 5 minutes within zone 1! We still can't believe what a deal it was! It was also one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed--including hotels. I highly recommend this townhouse!

My family and I just returned from two weeks in this lovely townhouse located in a lively and bustling section of Paris. The house is beautifully appointed and very comfortably accommodated our family of eight. The street is quiet and serene off a main thoroughfare. The whole of Paris is easily accessible from this location. I highly recommend this for a true Parisian experience. The owner was extremely helpful making the whole experience very enjoyable.
