Sophisticated yet comfy...
The cabin sits on a quiet, wooded lot at the top of a mountain that is just a few minutes from downtown Maggie Valley. At just over 2100 square feet, the cabin has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room and dining room on the first floor of the cabin have a cathedral ceiling with lots of windows to the beautiful view of the valley below. Relax in the hot tub and enjoy the peaceful surroundings this sylvan spot has to offer. The house includes a game room with a pool table, foosball, poker table, and two pub tables. A bar area and an additional bathroom are currently under construction in the lower level of the cabin. You can view additional pictures on our web site--northcarolinaonmymind.
NOTE: Access to Ahkontshuck View is gravel and somewhat steep. The driveway to the cabin is not suitable for large, rear-wheel drive vehicles, trailers, or motorcycles.

minimum 7-night rental -- $1,325 rental fee for 7 days.
The rental fee INCLUDES the cleaning fee.
There is a $50 hot tub fee and a $45 reservation fee.

If you are considering visting North Carolina, you have found the place. My family and I were snowed in for 3 days. Normally, we'd probably be going Nuts!! This home was so beautiful we didn't mind being snowed in. So much thought was put into every single decoration, note, instruction, etc. The pictures do no justice. The views were incredible. The game room was much larger than it looked in the picture. The owners left binders full of restaurant info, menus, places to visit, etc. It was truly an amazing visit. Also, very very good deal. You get much more than you pay for. This place is perfect. They have something for everyone. Big living room for large family. It was just amazing! Highly recommended!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We just returned from a very memorable and enjoyable stay at your beautiful cabin Ahkontshuck View. (July 11-18) Upon arriving we were delightfully surprised & impressed when entering your amazing cabin with its amazing views. The website photo's certainly do not do this cabin justice! Everything we needed was supplied and then some. The first morning of our stay we awoken to an incredible view of the clouds nestled between the mountains which we looked down upon. Talking about being "above the clouds", it was breathtaking to say the least. We didn't realize that "Cold Mountain" was visible from the deck until we opened the book itself and read your note. What a surprise ! The decor, attention to detail and quality was so impressive. You can tell that a lot of thought and love went into this home. We want to Thank You for opening your home for the public to enjoy. We couldn't have picked a better vacation spot and hope to return again. Warmly, Robin Patascher

We loved our stay in Maggie Valley. Your home is fabulous...and more than we expected. The pictures on the Internet do not do it justice. The weekend turned out to be perfect for skiing. We had 4" of snow. We were concerned about getting down the hill, but a very nice neighbor, I understand, salted and graded the road and we had no problem. Several of us stayed in and enjoyed the beauty of the snow and mountain...and the hottub. We all loved it! It was an extraordinary mini-vacation for us. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
