Besides the tastefully appointed main cedar cabin there is a cute new cedar guest cabin. The guest cabin is set up with new bunk beds, comfortable chairs, stereo, beverage refrigerator and fly tying bench - perfect for the kids to have their own space while on vacation or for extra guests.
Sitting on one and a half acres there is plenty of room for parking and boat trailers. The meadow is framed with new split rail fencing so there is room for horses. The large deck with gas BBQ grill, picnic table, chairs and fireplace is perfect for enjoying the long summer evenings (sunset at 10 PM!) overlooking the uncluttered Rock Creek Valley and Sapphire Mountains.
Located less than 100 yards to the "Blue Ribbon" Trout stream of Rock Creek with its renowned trout numbers makes fishing from the cabin or exploring the easily accessible 45 miles of Rock Creek's wadeable freestone trout water one of the outstanding do it yourself fly fishing destinations. Other outdoor opportunities abound right from the cabin with fabulous wildlife viewing featuring the world class bighorn sheep, moose, deer, elk black bear, opsprey, eagles and many more. Welcome Creek Wilderness Area is only a few miles up the road for fabulous hiking. Nearby there is horseback riding, road and mountain biking, hunting, rafting and the list goes on.
In a quiet setting yet only eight miles from I-90 and 28 miles to all the amenities of the quintessential university mountain town of Missoula with the farmers markets, micro-breweries, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Visitor Center, museums, theaters, live music and fantastic restaurants and quaint shops. The famous Blackfoot River (from "River Runs Through It" fame) is only minutes away as well as the Clark Fork and Bitterroot Rivers.
