Small town charm in the Colorado Mountains
VRBO Bear stayed here - 10/01/2007 Want to experience the history of Glenwood Springs, Colorado? Want to relax and enjoy all that this quaint little mountain town has to offer? Then this beautiful Victorian home is where you want to stay.
This immaculate home is within close walking distance to all of the attractions of Glenwood Springs. It’s located just across the bridge from the famous Hot Springs Pool and Spa and one street from the train station and museum and only a couple blocks from downtown Glenwood, with all of the wonderful shops and restaurants. Visit another nearby attraction - it’s just a half mile to Doc Holiday’s grave.
My favorite thing was the beautiful raised back porch right next to the garden. It was the perfect place to sit and relax and enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner with my family. Since it is right off of the kitchen, it was very easy to walk out the door and up the steps to the complete tranquility of the mountains.

Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2004
I have lived most of my life in Colorado and I love it here. I want to share my love of Colorado and Glenwood Springs with other people. I fell in love with this house when I saw it, and remodeled and decorated this property myself with the idea of promoting a love of the past. I love the history of the Great American West, the pioneers, and the special legacy of Glenwood Springs. I hope you will love Glenwood as much as I do! This is the American West and small town living at it's best!
Why the Owner Chose Glenwood Springs
This property caught my eye because of its unique Victorian features, and beautiful grounds. There is a special feeling of peace and beauty and calm. The gardens are exceptionally beautiful, and I love the entire street, lined with splendid elm trees. The historic neighborhood has some of the most beautiful historic houses you will see anywhere. Plus, it's right in downtown Glenwood, and you can stay here without needing a car. You can recharge and rejuvenate here and feel ready to go out in the world again.
The Unique Benefits of this House
You will love the tasteful Victorian feel, and especially the gardens in the summer, and the wood burning stove in the winter. The house is cozy and comfortable. You will enjoy walking the neighborhood just to look at the houses and natural beauty. A little secret: if you walk up 8th Street, and head up towards the Scout Trail, you bear off to the left and walk up the hill to a spectacular lookout with a bench. You can enjoy the sunset or sunrise, and see the entire city and mountains. You can walk also to Doc Holliday's Grave, a landmark in Glenwood. You'll love it! For hundreds of years, this area was home to Ute Indians and they considered this sacred grounds. You can feel the good vibrations from the earth.
