Why the Owner Chose Lake Wedowee
We love this lake because it is relatively close to our home and it is so beautiful, like a mountain lake with clear water and definitely not crowded. Mt. Cheaha, the highest point in Alabama is in view from the ridge and it is a great place to spend a day hiking.

I am a junior at Auburn University and I went away for the weekend to this house with friends after a big week at school. It is AMAZING! It is by far the most relaxing lake house I have ever been to but still with all the modern amenities. It was easy to relax but also have a lot of fun. There are two sitting areas that seat a lot of people so it was nice to enjoy one another's company. Watching the sunset from the hammock outside was breath taking and enjoying meals on the large porch at a huge table with room for 10 was a joy! I was very fortunate to get the opportunity to enjoy this lake house and can't wait to be invited back!
Recommended for:Girls getaway.

My family rents this home for a family reunion every year!!!! WELOVE IT. It is on a beautfiul part of the lake. Right near a fun treeswing. I love running around in the yard with all of my grandkids and catching lightening bugs:) Wedowee is a great small town with antique shops and icecream for the kids. The home is so large with many quiet nooks to hide and read or just rest! The front porch is a great gathering spot as we churn our icecream and watch kids play. They love the fireplace overlooking lake for hotdog and smore grilling after a great day on lake! I would highly recommend this home. You won't be dissappointed!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

We spend a week in this home every summer since finding it. The lot is great. Not steep like many of the others. Lots of room for parking. The home and dock are well cared for and it is in a nice area. The house had everything we needed for a restful week indoors as well as out. So glad we discovered this designer vacation spot! There was something for every age from kids to grandparents. Unbelievable rotisserie grill right by beautiful stone outdoor fireplace. Big screen tv and the kids loved the ping pong! House much better than even the photos !!!
