Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1968
Hello, I am Mary Anne, I was born in Brooklyn 52 years ago and moved to Italy when I was 11. Although I have been here in Rome for the past 40 years I never stopped speaking English . I love meeting new peple and I will be happy to keep in touch with you during your stay at OSTIABELLAVISTA; I am always available for any thing you might need or any suggestion you might be looking for, after all this is YOUR vist to the "Eternal City" and you should make the best of it. I live right next door and work in Ostia (with my husband)...so... I'm always around in case you need something...
Why the Owner Chose Other Rome Properties
The reason I have this vacation rental is because the building was an inheritance of my father's and his brothers and sisters (and that is why our whole family moved from the USA to Italy). After a long story (my parents have now past) I ended up with and 2 floor attic, the top floor was very narrow and long therefore we decided to make part of the top floor into an appartment for when my relatives visit....but then unfortunately they do not visit that often and this is the reason I decided to put it on the market as a vacation rental...and I've been enjoying it so much!!
The Unique Benefits of this Apartment
Well mostly what I will be telling you here has been related to me by the people who have stayed here. They enjoy just walking out of the building and crossing the street to get there morning cappuccino or doing some grocery shopping and having a vast variety of foods to choose from, even ready made meals like lasagna or eggplant parmiggiano!! They enjoy the view and relaxing out on the terrace (I've had people preferring on staying on the terrace rater than going in to Rome sight-seeing!!!) Another benefit for most of my visitors is that I live just right next door...so I'm available for any problems or just questions that might come up.

We had an incredibly relaxing time in this beautiful apartment. Our only regret is not staying long enough, as 3 nights was not enough to enjoy Rome and all of the local beach. We found the hospitality and extra comforts to be outstanding. The fruit stand at the bottom of the apartment and grocery around the corner were very convenient. The washing machine, great deck and beautiful weather made washing our clothes mid-trip a breeze. The box of toys were a treasure for our youngest daughter, and the tasteful decoration of the apartment has us thinking of how to do our own home. The terrace and view are unmatchable, and the accessibility of the train station without hearing the train is great. Thank you, Eric, Sandi, Ally and Anna Miller P.S. I almost forgot to mention the maps and tourist information, well organized and extremely helpful!
