Blue Ridge Parkway, the Appalachian Trail and Thomas Jefferson's home at Monticello are all within a 30 minute drive or less. Antique stores and wineries (this is Virginia's Napa Valley), canoeing, fishing, hiking and the best BBQ in Virginia are a short drive.
