Our first stay was July of 2011. Perfect. The cottage was a perfect size for my wife and two boys. We all loved it!! The fishing, the water, marshmallows on the porch. We finally found our summer place. We are coming back in 2013 and for many years to come. Gary was great to deal with and the cottage was comfortable clean and a 10 out of 10. Don't go by my arrival date of 2012 I owed Gary a review from 2011 and the site would not let me enter a date from 2011. We stayed July of 2011.Owner response: Nice to hear from you Bill!

We were looking for a nice quiet place to stay that gave us access to the water for our kids and our boat. This house was perfect. There was plenty of space for us to eat, sleep and entertain other family that came during the day. Plenty of parking for our car(s) and boat trailer (if you launch at the state launch and don't leave your car/trailer there it's FREE!). Even with the water being a little low this past year the docks were deep enough to allow proper loading/unloading. Guests seems to pay it forward with unused charcoal, etc. which we also did. Place was very clean for us and we left it that way for the next guests. Looking forward to 2013!Owner response: Glad you had a great time Brian! Gary

Upon arrival my family and I were excited to see how clean and roomy the cottage was. We enjoyed the modern amenities of the cottage but it also offered the quaint feeling of being in the country. The owner provided us with a small row boat for fishing which the children enjoyed and had the most memorable day on the water. The reservoir seemed to be loaded with fish since we caught quite a few fish! Waking up and looking out to the clear water and enjoying the sceanery was relaxing in the morning . Being close to the water was also convenient when having to go back and forth from the beach to the house so many times durning the day. The beach was great it had a giant toy box stocked with hundreds of toys and the water was clean and clear. We spent many hours down at the beach! We would highly recommend this rental property and we certainly will be staying here next year to enjoy the beauty of the Berkshires and the property.Owner response: Thankyou! Gary Thresher

It was a great last minute getaway that was reasonably priced The town of Otis reminded us of The Andy Griffith Show and Mayberry! Be sure to visit the Otis museum and library.. All free! We will be back again.. Thanks Gary!Owner response: Thankyou!

Cute, quaint, great location lake cottage! Right across from the water and a nice private beach with shaded picnic tables and a large children's sandbox filled with toys for the tots...Adirondack chairs were also there for everyone's use. The water quality was very clean and we enjoyed the kayak and rowboat provided by the owner to explore the Reservoir. This is an excellent lake for fishing,power boating or just spending quality time with the family, We had a perfect long weekend getaway-- worth the 2 hour drive!! Will return next year!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

Located on a dead end street directly across from a beautiful beach and boat area.Water was almost pristine clear a with sand and rock botttom.No muck or weeds. Cottage was comfortable for us (4) and the kids were at the beach constantly and within sight. It was a very pleasant and safe place to relax and close enough to all the attractions of the Berkshires. Cottage had a nice open floor plan with a large kitchen island and stools for three. Clean,well maintained and reasonably priced. Thanks again!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.
