Excellent location. The tides were perfect for the group. The owner was most helpful with the minor problems that arose. We will definitely rent again, when we can.

Condo has just been updated with fresh paint throughout, new carpet in master bedroom, new wood flooring in living area and cabinets are scheduled for new resurfacing & paint on April 15. We are constantly working to insure our guests will be happy with their accommodations and will have a wonderful vacation. We request any guest who has a problem, to contact us immediately so that we may have the opportunity to address any issue while the guests are still there, further insuring their comfort.

WE LOVED OUR STAY AT JEWEL'S PLACE! The location is just steps from the beach, which is just what we wanted. Close to everything that we love about Amelia Island. Bob and Layla (our dogs) were completely relaxed and enjoyed their walks on the beach. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed picking up sea shells after Irene blew by. thanks!

Owner response:Thanks for that great review. It is just about the most perfect place on the beach. You can throw a sea shell from the deck and hit the beach. Just walking out the back door, across the deck and onto the beach certainly has it's advantages. I'm so glad you had a great time.

Stayed in this wonderful location the 1st week of June. The sea breezes kept us (our dog included) refreshed as the deck is the spot to enjoy the sunrise,the waves,spotting a dolphin or two,having breakfast,water color painting,etc. There are so many delicious restaurants we ate out for dinner,no cooking/dishes. But the kitchen has everything one would need if you really want to cook. The bed in the master br is very comfortable. You literally walk out onto the deck,walk 20 feet and you are ON the BEACH!!! Just what we were looking for. The only reason I rated this condo Good rather than Excellent is the bathrooms are dated.There is plenty of room for parking. Amelia is a dog friendly island so please be a responsible pet owner, This priviledge of taking your pet with you on vacation is so very generous. I want to thank Jewel for being a pet friendly VRBO property owner. I truly appreciate your kindness for letting our dog vacation with us. Thanks for such a delightful week on beautiful Amelia Island

This condo is on the first floor, so just walk in the front door, out the sliding glass doors on the beach side, onto the deck, down a short ramp and onto the beach. My family spent the week of the 4th of July at the Captain's House with our Shih Poo. We had such a nice relaxing visit and the condo was wonderful! Perfect location, tastefully decorated and clean, clean, clean!! Thank you, Jewel for being so helpful--you really were great to do business with!!

What a beautiful place to stay! The location was the best on the beach. Jewel's condo was very clean and convenient to the shopping district. I would highly recommend it to anyone who would like a quiet get away.

My family and I stayed here last week. It was probably one of the best places we have ever stayed at. The condo was beautiful, we were right on the beach and loved every moment we were there. I would highly recommend renting from Jewel. She is personable, and goes the extra "mile" for her guests. I am sure we will be back next year...

What a wonderful place to stay! As a travel agent, we have traveled numerous places and must say this is one of the best. It was the first beach trip for my little dog Tobie and it was discovered that he loves the beach as much as I do. The condo was very clean, pleasantly decorated and in a great location. Highly recommended for a laid back vacation.

We had a wonderful, relaxing first visit to Amelia Island and were very pleased with the condo - clean and nicely decorated, and the location and view couldn't have been better. Very nice beach, not crowded when we were there for Easter week (Apr.22)...it was so nice to be able to bring our small dog and we loved walking on the beach at sunrise. Thank you, Jewel, for such a nice place to stay and your "Southern Hospitality"! The Hollands - Tail wag of thanks from Buster, too!

Great location in the older section of Amelia Island. The condo is very nice and the view and proximity to the beach could not be better. Also, Jewel is a very nice lady who leans over backwards to accommodate her guests. We are going back again in September.

My husband and I just got back from a wonderful week at this beautiful, exceptionally located condo. Our dogs loved it too! Looking out the glass sliding doors right at the beach and ocean was a real treat; one morning we saw dolphins too! Great condo with everything you need and more. The washer /dryer really comes in handy too! We plan on going back later in the year and will definitely stay here again! Jewel is fantastic and very easy to communicate with too!

My husband and I and our dog had a wonderful week staying here in February. The condo is so comfortable and has every amenity to make your stay comfortable. We loved being able to walk right out on the beach. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back!

We stayed at Ms. Jewel's Captain's House for our "girlsweekend" and it was so nice! The view is awesome and the condo itself was very clean and decorated so nice! Ms. Jewel made sure everything was there that we needed and if there was anything else she was just a call away. I'm going to take the family back again and I know us girls will be back next summer! Thank you Ms. Jewel for making our kids free, husbandless weekend a wonderful one!

My mother enjoyed her 50th birthday present. A weekend at the beach was made even more pleasant by the condo unit and dealing with Jewel Allday. We have a little unknown connection with my hometown and she treated me like a customer should be. She actually stopped by to see how things were. I have been going to Amelia Island for 20 years and that was a first. The place was clean and quiet. Great location on the beach and the dogs loved it.

Had a wonderful stay for the weekend with the girlfriends. Everything that we needed was at our fingertips, Ms Jewel is great. The condo was very clean and roomy, you dont have to walk far to the beach, and at night you can sit on the deck and listen to the waves and the breeze was just right...I miss it already and cant wait to go back. Thank you Ms Jewel for a wonderful experience. I will be back.

My husband and I stayed the week at this beautiful condo with all the amenities. It was clean, easily accessible to the beach and restaurants. The decor was fabulous & the beds very comfortable. My husband and I found great yard sales, shopped at the Barnabas Center (Jewel will have to tell you about that one), dined at some fine restaurants and fished. Check out Murray's Grille off the island. It is wonderful! I would recommend for any stay! You will not find a more personable person to rent from than Jewel Allday.

Had a great vacation with our three boys and our beagle. Wonderful location and very nice condo. Owner is extremely nice and awesome with communication. My boys say Fernandina has "the best waves for boogie boarding" of any beach we have been to! I liked the MANY shells & sharks teeth found on the beach.

We had a wonderful experience at the Captain's House! The condo was clean and all ready for us when we arrived. We loved the neighborhood (quiet and very family oriented) and truly enjoyed sitting out on the back deck each morning and evening watching the ocean. I would recommend the Captain's House to anyone looking for an affordable beachhouse that is right on the ocean.

A great place to stay. Perfect location on the beach and convenient to everything - short distance to downtown. Nicely decorated, with all the conveniences of home.
