  It was our first trip to Snowshoe and we had a FANTASTIC time in your home. The location was great (the kids skied in and out) and the home had everything we needed. The large rack inside to hang all of your ski clothes was wonderful. As well, having a warming room before you entered the house to take off your boots was a nice touch and kept the snow outside! The bedrooms were large and roomy and the kitchen was well equipped. I use VRBO often throughout the East Coast and found this to be one of the best values for such a large and well equipped home at a well known ski resort.........great VRBO experience!!!

  A group of 10 great friends (ages 26-28) got together for our annual NYE ski trip, and had an amazing time. Some quick blurbs as to what we liked about the property... *what you see is what you get -- the pictures displayed for the property are pretty much exactly what the house looks like; therefore, no surprises upon arrival *there's a telephone available to use for free in the property, which was a tremendous help with the no service we got the entire trip (internet, however, did come through) *the power went out for half of the day (in the entire town, not just at our place) due to the snow storm and the electric fire was able to keep everyone warm while we waited for it to come back on *the property was clean upon arrival and was even ready earlier then check-in time *bonus: there's an area between the front door and the first door you go through to get into the property that allows you to leave your snow gear to dry off while still keeping it safe (side note: it's also heated) *two of the girls on this trip were pregnant, so the Plasma TV, open kitchen and fireplace were definite bonuses (and it was a short walk to the store for when we wanted to get some fresh air -- also, there's a free shuttle that stops at the beginning of the entrance that will take you to the village where there's shopping, restaurants and a Starbucks) *a man came on the second to last day to shovel the stairs and a pathway to the road from the stairs *everyone who did ski/snowboard enjoyed having a lift only 100 yards away *Lee was always quick with responding to emails and answered any questions we had *use was made of the washer and dryer in the unit *there's also a shoe heater/dryer where you can stick two pairs of boots at a time to dry off *having a thermostat in each bedroom, plus two in the living room / dining room allow everyone to have the temperature that they desired *although it doesn't look that big, the property comfortably fit 10 people (4 couples and two single friends) *check in/out is hassle free, especially thanks to the lock box where the key is stored *if our group doesn't grow next year, there's an extremely good chance we'll be back here!

  We stayed from a Monday thru a Friday and six college kids skied themselves "to death". the older set of our group, relaxed and enjoyed the snow. We also fed deer outside our back window.The accommodations were great and we recommend it to anyone looking a place for families,small groups,or even a quiet getaway for two. Although the neighboring ski trail was not open due to lack of snow,it is easy to get to and utilize for access to all of the other ski trails. Lee was very easy to work with, and the rental was very clean. The convenient lock box for the key was great. Renters will enjoy the covered parking available and if you want to drive, the village is a hop away. The mud room is nice for skiers and it helps keep out unwanted messy boots that can make floors a mess. If we get the chance, we will rent again. : )

  We had a great time this past January with 3 generations of family vacationing at Snowshoe. You've read all the good reviews and they are right! This place really feels like "home away from home." Often when I'm looking to book a condo, the excitement of the trip tempts me to overlook some of the finer details and qualities of a vacation rental. But when you arrive at a place like this and see the care taken with upgrades in the kitchen, and throughout the house, you will be glad you booked such a great place! LOVED the individual thermostat controls in each room! A couple of notes for people who are looking for specifics like I look for... As the listing says, the slopes are a short walk away. As should be expected, top bunks seem (in my opinion) best for young teens and below. This place is great for the whole family. A lot of room and a lot of comfort!! And Lee is great to work with!

  We had a great time and a great view of the sunset. Anyone racing would love this also, the track went below the house.

  We spent seven nights at Wabasso 15 with Five adults, two children and a baby and had more than enough room to enjoy the meals we prepared and nights to relax! Wifi worked exceptionally well and plenty of channels to watch. The beds were comfortable and the kithchen was well stocked for any of the maels we cooked; I would recopmmend stopping by the grociery store and liqour store (their next to each other) about a half an hour away. The provisions store has supplies but is a little expensive. The shuttle system is ridiculously easy to use, just out the door and was always conveniently available. We are from Miami Beach and had never been to WV for skiing and we all could not stop talking about what a great time we had on the mountain and the great accomodations!

  I recently travelled with a group to Snowshoe and stayed at Wabasso. We had a fabulous time! The acommodations were perfect for our group...nothing over the top, but everything was nice and clean, and the fully stocked kitchen was great! There were plenty beds too, which was great. We were thrilled with the location...it is maybe a 2 minute walk to the slope...max! I have stayed in some places that claim to be an easy walk to the slopes that are more like a hike...not the case with Wabasso. Made it very easy to come in for breaks and lunch during the day. It is also very convenient to the shuttle if you need to go to the village or want to do night skiing at Silver Creek. Lee, the owner, was great to work with too...very quick to respond, and very helpful. We will definitely come back!

  We were looking for last minute accommodations... Most of the mountain was booked and there was little left to choose from in the way of 3 bedrooms. I was not extremely impressed with the pictures but figured that’s what I got for waiting to book. First of all Lee was extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. We got all the financials and paperwork taken care of in just a few hours. When we got there I was very pleasantly surprised The place is MUCH more spacious than it appears in the pictures. The location is great, just a short walk (to the end of the block) to get on the slopes. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to book a trip to Snowshoe. My only suggestion would be adding a hot tub on the deck. Thanks again Lee!

  Clean condo with plenty of room! Owner is very accomodating on dates. Kitchen is great for cooking with all the amenities. Quick walk to slopes with great parking.
