Our group of 5 adults, one of whom is wheelchair-bound, just returned from our stay at this delightful house. It is quite large, but very accessible; private areas abound, and there is plenty of room for communal activities such as dining and game-playing. It is suitable for adult groups such as ours, but would also work well for groups with children, as one bedroom has a queen bed, bunk beds, and a sofa-bed all in the same room. The beautiful swimming pool and outdoor sauna would also be enjoyed by groups with children. The pictures on the web site show an accurate depiction of the house, which was quite clean and well-maintained. The furnishings are very nice but also very comfortable. Our favorite aspect of the house is its fabulous view--especially delightful if you get up early enough to enjoy the sunrise--and there are 3+ decks from which to enjoy it! We loved sitting out, having a glass of wine in the evening, and watching the boats and seabirds come in. The owner provides guests with an extensive list of restaurants and activities in the area, and excellent directions to the house, which is located "off the beaten path". We used the house as a "jumping off" point for our Nova Scotia explorations, as it is easy to access Halifax, the South Shore communities, the Annapolis Valley, and other areas from Hubbards. Hubbards and the nearby communities of Chester, Mahone Bay, and Lunenburg have many opportunities for both fine and casual dining, as well as for outdoor activities. We were very sorry to leave our "Nova Scotia home" and come back to reality! Everyone in our party agreed that we would definitely recommend this house to any visitors to the area. Thank you for allowing us access to your fantastic rental!

Our stay at this beautiful cottage WAS fabulous. It is exceptionally cleaning and bright. The extra bathrooms are beneficial for accomodating more than one family. Easy to find and lots to do in the area. The pool is exceptionally great. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a beautiful scenery and private escape. The owner of the cottage is very helpful and attentive. Would love to return one day. Thanks!

Larry and I are back in California, and wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in your home in Hubbards. It was peaceful and lovely, and we were very pleased with our visit. I'll never forget the view from the living room. I watched the sea for hours. Thanks for making it possible.

Just a note to let you know how much we enjoyed your house in Hubbards. It couldn't have been more perfect for us. The view was spectacular. Many hours were spent either on the side porch or at the windows facing the water. It was a great spot for our two friends, husband and wife, who have both been recuperating from chemotherapy treatment. We loved the harbor in Hubbards and thought it was one of the prettiest that we saw. We loved the unspoiled beauty of the lighthouse route and took many beautiful photographs (I don't think you can take a bad one.). We have to say that we loved the coastal areas unaffected by tourists the best - I know, we were tourists too, but didn't feel like it. Peggy's Cove was a zoo. It was pretty, but too many people. We loved the Shore Club Restaurant. The lobster was delicious and we loved the whole atmosphere there. We also enjoyed the Dauphinee Inn where we had a great dinner. We liked Magnolia's in Lunenburg also. The soups there were especially wonderful. The scarecrow festival in Mahone Bay was a real treat to see. They were very ingenious with some of their designs. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful house with us. This will always be a special memory for us. Emily Smith
