At the very top of Butte Montmartre, the highest point of Paris, enjoy staying in the historic building where Pablo Picasso spent his first period in Paris. This big studio apartment (# 40m², third floor) offers the same view as from Sacré Coeur: 180 degrees upon Paris and area (Eiffel Tower sparkling every hour, Arc de Triomphe, Opera, ... and so on). The outlook becomes magic at sunset for romantic evenings !
Every amenities you need for your comfort and pleasure of being contemplating Paris. Perfect kitchen, large living room, nice pieces of furniture, TV, WIFI, ... In a very quiet area, most picturesque (50 meters from place du tertre), restaurants, theatres, and movies, every kind of shopping at walking distance.
The flat is perfectly located for your tours in Paris. Easy to join from CDG Airport, North (Uk, Benelux) and East Railway station. Metro and buses 4 minutes walking, 200 meters from taxi station. Bus stop 20 meters from entrance (service every 10' from 7:00 till midnight).
We rent an other apartment in the same building, 1 BR, fit for up to 4 people: it could be very convenient for people travelling together ; every family lives in a seperate apartment, with all the amenities for them 'chacun chez soi', but in the same building. HAVE A LOOK AT VRBO #127056: TOP MONTMARTRE.
For any information about the area and the comfort of the place: please have a look on the guestbook of both apartments.

This is our 4th time renting at this location. We love both the neighberhood and the owners. It is an outstanding value for the price and they are wonderful people to deal with. We will return again and again with the confidence we will be satisfied every time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

I was excited to return to Paris after a 2 year absence. I had spent most of my time in the 18th previously, so I was excited to return... Unfortunately, other than the location, I was very dissappointed with this apartment. First and foremost- the apartment was filthy. Dust coated everywhere. The kitchen cabinets were full of unused food and all dirty and sticky! The dishes were not clean in the cupboard. I cleaned the cupboards and dishes for my sanity. I realize I am a bit of a cleanqueen, but it kept getting worse. The kitchen fan was sooo bad, I closed it and ignored it- YUCK. There were hairs in the bathroom and the water closet- very unacceptable for me. The washer and dryer DID NOT work, as promised. It was the end of a 5 week stay in France and I was looking forward to cleaning some of my things to wear in Paris. I had to hand wash them in the kitchen, once I cleaned the sink out. It was cold for a few days of my stay, and I went to turn on the heat, and the knobs and tops of the heaters were coated with grime and again, sticky-! I cleaned them as well... There was only one chair to sit in with any comfort, although the photos showed 2, and it was filthy as well. Not only the material, but the crumbs and dirt in the cracks of it were pretty disgusting. I put a towel on it so I could use it. The (very old) mattress was broken down and the springs were poking me all night long. I could not find a comfortable spot to sleep on. My back has not been the same since... The final blow was that there was a burglary in the building- in the apartment next to mine. The door was kicked in and I may have walked in during the break in, because when I came up the stairs, their door was open as well as the window in the hallway, hmmm... The neighbor actually told me what happened, and I had to call the owners to confirm and ask why they did not contact me imediately (they knew about this as soon as it happened). I felt very unsettled and unsafe there after this incident. The main front door was never fully locked and lots of comings and goings, to add to my angst. I could not, in good conscious, recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to feel safe, comfortable and expects a clean, restful environment. I felt that I WAY over spent on this apartment and will never return.Owner response: There is only one thing to say about this long comment/contempt : it is merely false. Any doubt about it ? Please have a look to the other comments published : we got 25 reviews with an average mark of 4,88 out of 5. If you get one single mark with such a discrepancy, this mark isn’t a relevant indication about the object of the comment but it reveals the author of the comment, I’m afraid. Just one example : if you don’t know how to use the washing machine, you have 3 ways to solve the problem. The first and easiest is to read the leaflet, provided close to the machine. If you don’t feel quite comfortable with these indications, you could ask the owner. Check: the other comments underline that we are as much helpful as possible and easy to reach as we live in the same building. The third is to complain after check out and publicly spread your disappointment. Let’s be positive : this comment carry a fairly good news: this person won’t come again.

We stayed for several days in this delightful studio apartment. Don't let the world 'studio' deter you, it is quite a large place. The location was perfect, with a wonderful view, quiet at night, but close to the action in Montmartre, the Metro station, and Rue Lepic. The owners are quick to answer any questions and are very accommodating. You will get a workout going up the hill and up the stairs to the apartment, so I would not recommend it for infirm travelers, but for the rest of us it just makes us slow down and enjoy life!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

I visited Paris a couple of months ago with two friends. We found the apartment to be the perfect size for the three of us and very cozy. It was very clean and neat. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a mini-kitchen, washer/dryer combo, and extra linens. The location is perfect! Monmartre is absolutely beautiful - lots of little shops/restaurants and, of course, the Sacre Coeur - and the residents are very friendly. Also, the apartment is just a short walk from the metro station, which is great for traveling around Paris. It also has an AMAZING view of the Eiffel Tower! The owners were considerate and very communicative; they answered all of our questions before and during our trip.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We rented this apartment for a 30th anniversary trip to Paris. It is a cute, cozy place with a superb location just minutes from Sacre Coeur. There is a plaque on first floor noting that Picasso had his first Paris studio in the building, which enhances the already authentic feel. The apartment is on the top floor, with a magnificent view of the Paris landscape and the sparkling Tour Eiffel right out the window. Really magical. What I liked about the top floor location was the privacy and no noise from above. There is a small kitchen with basic necessary equipment, including an espresso pot. There is a lovely, sunny table with French country linens where we sat each morning, sipping coffee and plotting our plans for the day. We also appreciated having the washing machine so we could carry fewer clothes with us. The listing photos accurately reflect the apartment. Montmartre is a great place to be at night because just up the hill a few blocks away is an artists' plaza where you can watch portraits in progress, snack, and dine into the wee hours. The best pastry shop in Paris is just a block away with the most delicious fig croissants we have ever tasted. We generally walked or took the metro into museums and sights during the day and then relaxed or strolled in Montmartre at night. Metro stop is just a short walk. There is a small, friendly market one-half block down the street, for light provisions. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Wifi was a plus. I would go back there in a heartbeat. And I recommend it highly to people interested in arts, culture, architecture, views, night life, and privacy. (And don't forget to try those fig croissants!)Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We spent 10 wonderful days at Magic View taking many photos of the moon balanced on the top of the Eiffel Tower! Because we're artists we're in love with Paris and we were also happy to find a charming room where we could spend some days 'at home' drawing. Montmartre is always the favorite place to stay - Magic view is well situated for the Metro but we often walked everywhere. This is a real family neighborhood with wonderful food shopping and we enjoyed giving two dinner parties to show off the view to our Parisian friends. Valerie was in China when we arrived but we were able to make ourselves perfectly at home and she was very welcoming when she returned. We were completely comfortable and look forward to another visit.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children.

Three of us stayed in the Magic View studio for five nights and found it to be a wonderful spot for our visit to Paris. We enjoyed the view (although you have to lean out the window to see the Eiffel Tower). We found ourselves looking out several times a day just to marvel at the view! The area surrounding the studio has little cafes and just a block or so away is the Place de Tertre with many cafes, artists and touristy shops. Despite being so close, the studio was very quiet. The main area of the studio is larger than I expected and was very clean. Based on an earlier review, we were worried about the privacy of the shower/toilet area, but we found them to be perfect. The toilet is at the end of the entrance hall in a separate room. The shower and sink area has a louvered door separating it from the main area. The kitchen was very nice, although we only used it for breakfast and beverages. The washing machine worked well, but the dryer did not so the owners have provided a drying rack for guests. There is a small television, wi-fi, fan and iron which we used when we were there. The owners were very nice and responded quickly. We enjoyed meeting them. We highly recommend this studio for anyone who is able to manage the stairs of Montemartre and the three flights up to the studio. The climb is well worth it for the view, the neighborhood and the proximity to the metro.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway.
