Sunset View Chalet is a luxury Honeymoon or Family vacation located in a private & gated mountain community called "The Village of Shagbark" . This community has over 1300 acres of mountainous woodlands where wildlife roams free. Our community maintains the respects of this habitat life.
As you see from our photographs the large master bedroom has a king-size bed with gas fireplace with a 32" HDTV flat screen and a DVD. The custom decor and fabrics are as colorful as the magnificent sunsets or fall seasonal colors that you'll see from the screened seating room of the master with a hot tub. The master bedroom has a jetted spa tub with shower and double sinks. The chalet has a tankless water heater so don't worry about running out of hot water.
The living room has a dry stacked stone gas fireplace with a 42" HDTV above. The system provides a DVD, surround sound, with IPOD connection. Enjoy several DVD movies provided for all age groups. There's another bathroom off the living room, as well. The billiard room has a large picture window with beautiful views of the mountains. The billard table converts into a dinning table if needed.
Your kitchen is fully equipped for any meal you might want to prepare.
The large den or bedroom has several large windows with a vaulted ceiling. This room could easy be used as a second bedroom. The new futon has the comfort of a custom queen size spring mattress. This room has a 27" HDTV with Play Station II and several games to enjoy.
The rear patio has a gas grill with Vermont Casting wood stove fireplace. This is a perfect place to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner on those cool nights.
The chalet community has basketball, tennis courts, and in ground pool within a minute drive.

We love the mountains and the peace of just sitting on our deck with the mountain views or sitting on the rear patio near the fire in the stove. My wife and I plan to retire in a few years and live in our chalet most of the year. We enjoy gardening and miss the changes of the seasons. We enjoy the comments from our quest and love how much they enjoy and love our second home "Sunset View".

Hi Dave, I never did have the chance to get back with you after our trip this January. As you know, I'm in nursing school and so my life stays pretty busy. With Brian just getting out of the Marine Corps, it has been a whirlwind for the both of us. At any rate, we had an amazing time at your chalet. It was absolutely gorgeous! Everything was so cozy and tucked away. We just can't begin to tell you how romantic and wonderful our stay was. It was the perfect getaway! And we got lots of snow, which was a plus! Again, thank you so much for giving us such a great deal and allowing us the opportunity to stay there. If it wasn't for your generosity, I wouldn't have been able to afford such a great, and much needed vacation with my loved one. We really hope to book it again for next year and stay even longer! Thanks a lot :)

As previously stated in other reviews, the photos of this property do not do it justice....this is a perfect place to stay, beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. I have stayed at numerous properties around the Gatlinburg area, homes offered by resorts, real estate agencies and private owners, this is no doubt the nicest. Absolutely loved it.

We had an awesome honeymoon at your chalet. It was perfect! The pictures online do not do the chalet justice. After reading the guest book we got several great food/adventure ideas that made our stay more enjoyable, thanks for the tips. You guys have a beautiful place and are so kind. WOW!! That's exactly what we said when we arrived. Better than the pictures show. This is a great place to enjoy the mountains without the rustic feel that some other locations have. Warm, private and relaxing...exactly what we were looking for. Can't wait to go back!

Everything was wonderful and just like the owners portray it to be. We were snowed in with 6-8 inches but that just added to the experience. With 2 gas fireplaces, the hot tub and the tankless hot water system, we didn't WANT to leave. The owners advised us to get chains for the car when the winter storm warning was posted prior to our arrival. We were glad to have taken their advice. It is a very private location in a developed community so there is a 24 hour guard shack on the grounds if their had been an emergency. It is an ideal place to celebrate an anniversary or honeymoon, but we would feel comfortable taking our children there as well. The owners truly make you feel like you are their guests and not a "renter". The Chalet is decorated like a second home and not like a rental investment. We couldn't have been more pleased.

Hello David and Susan, First of all - your home is lovely. The decor is perfect. Designed for comfort and beauty. You have great taste. This is not just a run of the mill mountain chalet. We really like it here and the view is becoming brilliant (orange, gold, red yellow). WOW! You may have seen we had some weather this morning - lost power for awhile, but was very quickly restored. That was nice - and watching the storm from here is very interesting. The mountains disappeared - then returned :). No damage to your home - although a tree did come down in the vacant lot across the road. And, several small limbs down - we have those picked up.

Hi David and Susan, I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful stay at your Smoky Mountain home. Sorry we couldn't take you up on your offer of additional nights. I would have loved to stay longer but we had to get back home. Everything was perfect. After days of hiking. and tennis, the hot tub was a welcome time of relaxing. We were comfortable in every way.
