Guests of Bridge Lane receive entry to the WaterSound Beach Club, if desired, for an additional fee of $30/day or $150/week for four people over 3 yrs. The WaterSound Beach Club is just 500 steps from Bridge Lane and is a complete resort: upscale restaurant, outdoor bar overlooking the Gulf, oversized pool w/poolside food and drink service, beach towels, tennis courts and complementary beachfront chairs and umbrellas.
Boardwalks meander throughout the 256 acre property passing a rare coastal dune lake, lily ponds and fabulous privately owned beach homes and townhomes. It's a nature lover's paradise and for those who want to get away from it all, it is heaven on earth.
Bridge Lane is furnished like a small luxury hotel. Furniture with hand rubbed finishes was ordered from charming local shops which specialize in casual, upscale beach design.
The main living areas are on the second floor so the beach and pool views may be enjoyed. The private, interior elevator makes bringing in suitcases a snap! All common areas and bedrooms have wide plank pine floors and a singular, soothing wall color. The home is scrupulously clean.
The living room has a wide expanse of windows for marvelous water views. It has a plasma television and Bose Lifestyle surround system in addition to comfortable seating. Bring your favorite music to experience in a new luxurious setting.
Dining at home is such fun! Make yourself a coastal feast in the well equipped kitchen; then, enjoy it alfresco on the covered porch, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, using the plentiful upscale beach themed linens and serveware! Two bedroom suites with private baths and a separate powder room round out the main floor.
The first floor includes the entry, king suite with luxury bath & private covered porch, office area, private elevator, fully equipped laundry room and one car attached garage. All bedrooms are appointed similarly: wonderful mattresses, 600+ thread count cotton sheets, down blankets and in-room ironing equipment. Private baths all have the same travertine marble and granite finishes throughout. There will be no complaints over room assignments!

Kris is allowing me to add the comments she wrote in the Bridge Lane guestbook on March 31, 2007. "Thank you for sharing your beautiful beach house with us. It is so full of comfort, luxury & beautiful details. WaterSound has come alive & we are so happy to be a part of it. Some of our favorite things are: the amazing view of the emerald waters from the outdoor porch that we never grow tired of, the gentle sound of the waves lapping the beach, the color of the sand at night as it glows under the full moon. We love the relaxing pace that we fell into immediately - our weather was perfect - low humidity high 70's low 80's & sunny every day. It seems like we never wore shoes! Every day we would stop at the Beach Club, get a cup of coffee & peek at the paper before setting off on our morning beach walk down to the other side of WaterSound to check up on the progress of the homes under construction. We love riding the bicycles on the boardwalks because it makes us feel like kids free to roam around with no particular destination other than pool-hopping! We love the sunsets and the sparkling water. One night we played paddle ball at the beach & laughed at how bad we were at this game. Another day we played golf at Puttering Park. The sand changes color as we came back to the house after sunset. As we lit the candles and settled down with a good book & then nodding off because of the fresh air! Morning coffee on the balcony while the sea brightens from silver to green and turquoise. On the beach, lounging in twin chairs under a striped umbrelle with favorite books. A midday meal of cold shrimp sandwiches topped with tomatoes and lettuce. An afternoon spent shopping at a street art fair in Rosemary Beach, followed by naps at poolside. Sunset finds us at water's edge, walking the beach.
