  Unit 400 was perfect for my family! We stayed only 3 nights this past May but plan to stay longer in the future. The view was beautiful, the condo was very clean, well-maintained and nicely decorated; the pictures on VRBO are completely accurate - what you see is what you get! The owners were very helpful with answering all my questions before booking and flexible regarding payment for our last minute rental. I have already recommended to my friends!! The location was very peaceful and we felt like we were far away from the hustle and bustle of the tourism areas, but close enough that it took only a few minutes to go to either Ft. Walton or Destin, where there's plenty to keep the family entertained. If you're new to the area, HIGH TIDE Restaurant (Ft. Walton) has the best oysters on the half-shell & Louisiana Lagniappe (Destin) has been our favorite for seafood for several years (you gotta try this place)! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay while vacationing with my family at the beach!!!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  The Condo was in a nice location right on the beach, not too crowded. The size was smaller than expected but decorated nicely although the living room chair was filthy. The unit was not all that clean, dirty blankets, dust an inch thick on the ceiling fans, our feet were black from walking on the tile so we wore our shoes the rest of the time. In the main bedroom there was a ceiling leak right above the bed, my parents were woken up with water dripping in their face from all of the rain. I called the owners they immediately called the management who came quickly but no call back from the owners to see how things went and they didn't even say they were sorry this had happened. I had called them several times with questions and comments of disappointment by the time the leak thing had happened she was through talking to me, the lady stopped answering the phone at that point her husband spoke to us. They did provide umbrellas and chairs but you need to have beach service drill a hole in the sand so they will stay. The unit also had plenty of dishes to cook, which we did often. I would not rent from these owners again due to the lack of customer service from them but the property management was really nice and the cleaning lady tried to help all that she could with cleaning issues and internet issues. Also the internet was intermittent at best finally after day 3 we were able to get on more consistently. If you do stay in this area make sure you go on the AJ's Seablaster sunset cruise it was a blast its near Harbor Walk across the Destin bridge.

  Owner response: As owners we try our best to please our guests. I spoke with this person 6 0r 7 times before she booked the unit and tried to answer all her questions. Our cleaning person is quite meticulous and assured me the condo was in good order. In addition to the many calls before arrival she called every day with concerns such as needing more toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. The condo is stocked with 4 rolls of toilet and 2 rolls of paper towels. We are very sorry about the roof leak but there were several days of rain and we can"t control the weather. Also we extended to her a rate reduction. Unfortunately the condo was left in very poor condition and the coffee table was broken. We generally have a fine relationship with our guests and work very hard to keep our home away from home enjoyable for all who visit.

  Unit 700 has a great view and was clean and decorated in bright tropical colors which makes you feel like you're on vacation. However, I do have some complaints the biggest being the king size bed desperately needs a new mattress. Another is the shock that we had to pay extra for beach service which I mistakenly thought was part of the rental "price includes free beach service". $20/day adds up fast! The second bedroom had no TV which was a big disappointment! I would suggest asking all questions before booking. Loved the pool and beach!

  Recommended for: Age 55+.
