Samos is the true of spirit of Greece. It has all the tradition of Greece yet has many modern amenities. It is unique in that it is a very green Greek Island with spectacular natural beauty. From its expansive mountain ranges to its never-ending glorious coast line of secluded beaches, Samos is a delight to visit. Though popular with tourists, which means a vibrant night life and buzz to the island, particularly during peak season, it does not suffer tourist overload as do some of the other Greek Island and maintains a "pure Samian" feel.
The local square, just directly near the house, has a great atmosphere. Everyone who has visited Meseo Plattia comments on the friendliness of the locals and the great "bon homie." Most of our guests are repeat customers, having fallen in love with the villa, its location in Karlovassi, and its closeness to the best beaches and nature walks. In fact, one of our vacationers loved staying with us so much, she left Florida and lived in our villa for two years.
The house itself is very cosy and lends itself to lazy afternoons reading, or long evenings on the balcony, watching the sunsets with a wine in hand. It is right in the heart of the village, amongst the locals and away from the tourist areas so guests experience the real Samos. |
