We've been coming to this part of the Cape for over 25 years - renting for years, owning a home for 8 years and back to renting. We feel as though we have finally found the answer to our dreams! This immaculate little house with 3 bedrooms, the beach outside our door, the sunsets, the landscape at low tide, along with all that Eastham and Orleans have to offer, provides us with the perfect vacation for our family. Thank you for the 3rd summer in a row for a wonderful and memorable vacation. We can't wait for next year!

Having recently returned from this beautiful cottage, I can still almost smell the sea air and if I close my eyes I swear I can still see the stupendous sunsets viewed from the spacious deck! The sunsets are unforgettable and the sight is worthy of the rental fee alone. This cottage provides any and all amenities you could possibly desire for a magnificent vacation on the Cape. Bright, cheerful, artistically arranged and decorated, spotless, and welcoming. The truth of the matter is that you very well may never want to leave! (I know we certainly never want to!) The very location of the cottage allows for whatever your tastes and interests may dictate: From enjoying the inescapable feeling of tranquility, serenity, and utter relaxation....to participating in invigorating outdoor activities such as biking, paddle boarding, swimming....to shopping, dining, and touring places of historic interest. It's all here! As you experience the pleasure of temporarily residing in this cozy, cheerful cottage you'll no doubt acknowledge how lucky you were to find it. The owners are good, kind people who have made it possible for others to visit Cape Cod and leave after a week with nothing but wonderful, positive memories of the time spent there. My lone regret is that I am only allowed to give this a 5 star maximum rating.....because it deserves so much more.

Owner response: We are grateful that our cottage brings such happiness to adults and children! It is truly a special place!

"Our week on the Cape this summer ranks up there as one of the nicest vacations we've ever had. This cottage is a real find....it's well-pointed with all the modern-day conveniences anyone can need, extremely comfortable, immaculately maintained, and there was nothing better than the view from the deck! We rarely ventured out to the bigger beaches because we were content right where we were staying! We are a family of five, including teenagers, so I was initially concerned about the "coziness" of the place. Not to worry. The space is laid out so well, that there was plenty of room to have a little quiet time for the adults after a long day in the sun. The location is perfect too -- we love the mid-Cape area and highly recommend Eastham to anyone considering a Cape vacation. Thanks so much to the owners for sharing their little piece of paradise with us -- can't wait to book again in the future!"

We really enjoyed our visit and stay on Cape Cod. The cottage was very clean, well maintained and equipped and in a great location close to the beach. Weather was warm and sunny all week (early June) and we enjoyed our day trips to Hyannis and P'town. The seafood and local restaurants were really good, especially MobyDicks. The cottage owners Therese (and John) were very accomodating throughout and we hope to make a return visit from the UK one day.

Owner response: Reviews are so appreciated! We are very pleased to share our special cottage with others and to to hear about their experiences! It is rewarding to know that others feel it is "a slice of heaven" too. Therese & John

We have rented this cottage for 2 years in a row now and simply love the location! The unit is clean and completely updated. Everything you will need for a week or more is there and even some lovely extras. We have toddlers (twins) and an older daughter and so we love that it's a few feet to the bay. The kids can play all morning in the water and when they need a snack or nap we simply walk back "home" We love this unit, it's proximity to the water and it's location in general. Just a short drive to shops and restaurants and a short bike ride to the rail trail. Can't be beat!

This house is such a gem - located right on a private little beach on the bay side near Rock Harbor. It was immaculate and perfectly maintained. We we lucky enought to have 2 weeks of perfect weather, swimming, walking for miles on the "flats" at low tide, witnessing breathtaking sunsets and never wanting to leave the deck. It's a great little house in the best part of the cape. We've already reserved for next year!

We had a wonderful week at this cottage- VERY clean, great spot right on the beach, beautiful sunsets! The bay water was even warm for this time of the year- May. Good location for day trips to P-town and Hyannis and just 10 minutes from the local supermarket. The Barry's take great care of the cottage!

This was my second stay at the cottage, and it was, as before, comfortable, extremely well-equipped, and neat and clean as can be. I can't imagine a rental property that is better maintained. It's in a convenient, yet quiet location, and we had a lovely stay and look forward to another visit soon.

Location, location.location this beach house was in a perfect location and the house was immaculate. When we arrived, it looked as if nobody had used the property before us...it was that clean. The outside was planted with attractive shrubs and flowering plants. Everything you need on a vacation was made available in this compact, little, Cape Cod cottage.

We loved being at Therese's and John's cottage so much last summer that I couldn't wait to post a review, hoping it would reassure and encourage anyone who might be considering renting it. Well, the true sign of any successful business endeavor is repeat customers......and here we are! We recently stayed at the cottage again and even though I wrote a review last year, I feel compelled to write one this year also. Therese and John have maintained the excellence associated with their Cape home and there isn't a nicer, cleaner, more lovely place to stay. It is so comfortable, well furnished, and well equipped that while there, you feel as though you actually "belong" there. It feels like home away from home. Added to that, is the fabulous location, with Cape Cod Bay right outside your front door. While others walk to the bay just to watch the brilliant sunsets, you are able to simple walk out the door, sit on the deck, glass of wine in hand, and observe it in all its glory. Thankfully, we've been able to enjoy it for 2 consecutive years now and hopefully there will be many more to come. There's nowhere else on the Cape we'd rather be.....and I know you'll feel the same way.

Therese and John have created a wonderful get-away for all who stay at their cottage. It is beautifully decorated and sparkling clean....the kitchen is well-appointed....though with the fabulous weather that we had, we spent most of our time out on the deck looking out at the amazing view!!

We came last October, when summer was over, To relax and just get away! The days were delightful, the nights were exciteful, So, we decided to come back in May! The Robins were nesting, by the back door protesting, So, we would not cook on the grill. The steak we had planned, stayed wrapped in Saran, We’d much rather witness the thrill! The days in May, we chose to stay, Were as nice as those in October! The natives are great, Spring had come to the Cape, People waved while out walking with Rover. So as Summer is nigh, we’ll let the rush go by, And memories we’ll fondly remember. But when the people are gone, we’ll be there alone, ‘Cause we’re coming back in September!

This is the perfect cottage in the perfect location. The cottage is beautiful inside, with everything you would need. We walked out the front door and along the Bay twice a day. The changing light and changing tides give an ever-changing, beautiful view, with spectacular sunsets. The owners are wonderful. It is 10-15 minutes' drive to the National Seashore beaches in Orleans and Wellfleet and 20 minutes or so to Provincetown. There is a small, but nice, market (Superette) 5 minutes' drive away, and big chain supermarkets 10-15 minutes away. We have already reserved for next year!

I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. It is a beautiful, peaceful home in a beautiful, peaceful location. Of course you can enjoy the beach and all that that entails....but you can do that in a lot of places on the Cape. What sets Therese's and John's home apart is that while you can do the expected, you can also sit in the living room which is bathed in natural light and see the water dancing in the bay while the music of your choice fills the house; you can relax on the spacious deck and get lost in the amazing sunsets; and those moments are priceless. The pictures don't do it justice. This is a clean, cozy, tranquil, comfortable place to be. Everyone and anyone would love it here. My only regret is that the top rating allowed is 5 suitcases.....and even using that scale, this cottage still deserves 10!

When I was a kid, my parents used to take us to Cape Cod. I now live in the Midwest and having been wanting to share the Cape Cod experience with my kids. This year, we finally did. This house was perfect. The local is great. The beach is almost private. Walks on the flats were a daily ritual for us. The house is modern with all amenities ... for when we had to check emails. The house is clean, well kept and very well cared for. Plus ... love the outside shower. We still talk about our week on the Cape and all the wonderful things we did. The house served as a great home-base for us. From a family with small kids (under 10) i can highly recommend this place.

We have now enjoyed two years at this amazing cottage and we will keep coming back. It is lovely, well taken care of, immaculate and comfortable. Everything is spotless. The deck and the sunsets are incredible. We loved eating dinner, and lunch and breakfast for that matter outside. The location is close to beaches, windmills(which my kids love), grocery stores and fish markets(to make great food at home) and Arnold's(when you want to take out.) We had such a good time walking out in front of the cottage at low tide. My children, husband and I are so looking forward to next year already!

The house is fantastic! The location is great. Walk to the beach or enjoy the beautiful views from the huge deck. We (including three kids-3,5&8) really enjoyed walking way out during low tide ( finding crabs, shells etc.), running around the yard and deck, the outdoor shower, the sound system, winding down to a movie on one of two dvd players and just relaxing. The sunsets were incredible. The house is more spacious than it appears from the outside. Modern amenities. There is a river inlet across the street where you can kayak, canoe or use a small boat. Also, Rock Harbor is only a mile or two from the cottage where there is a public boat ramp. You could probably bouy your boat across from the house. The house is close to grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, mini golf, etc. We went out for lunch to the Beachcomber, but cooked at the cottage the rest of the time. We really didn't want to leave the cottage. It was awesome.

We stayed at the house on June 21st for 1 week. The house was VERY clean. I loved that there was no carpet in the house. THe shower stall outside is very nice after a sandy day at the beach. I loved being able to sit on the couch & look out at the water. Our family really enjoyed the house. The kids especially loved that there was a tv/dvd player in one of the bedrooms they stayed in. Dave & Therese always responded in a timely manner, so our experience w/them was very good. I recommend going the Mandy's Cape Creamery if you want a HUGE scoop of yummy ice cream! And don't waste ur time on trying different seafood restaurants. Arnold's is the way to go!

Our family has been lucky enough to travel quite a bit, but we'd have to say that Cape Cod was one of the BEST vacations we've had. And it began with Therese & John's incredible little cottage. It was incredibly clean, had all the necessary amenities and the view was fabulous. Our favorite part, was the beach just out our front door and, on many days, completely to ourselves! And dinner on the front porch at sunset was perfect! The location is centrally located to so many wonderful Cape Cod activities and landmarks. And if the weather keeps you in, which luckily we didn't have to worry about, Therese & John provided us with ample entertainment (TV, movies, CDs, books, board games). We have already started recommending this cottage to everyone! You won't be disappointed!!
