  Stayed at this beach rentals for 3 nights with Husband, college daughter, myself and our Maltese(dog). This rental is just as described. Private enough to enjoy your coffee on the deck and only 1-2 minute walk across the street to the beach. It's in a great location...Only 1.2 miles from Morris lighthouse Inlet and about the same to downtown Folly. Very nice flat road to ride your bicycles and lots of surfers to watch in the morning and evenings. Our overall stay was very enjoyable for a quick getaway. Very dog friendly home and neighborhood.   What a great place! The property is incredibly comfortable and the setting is wonderful--set back a good ways from the road and very private. As the picture shows, a porch wraps around the whole house which makes for wonderful seating areas at any time of day, depending on where the sun is. The kitchen was very well stocked with lovely dishes and cookware. We stayed there with another couple and never felt the least bit cramped. Getting to the beach was so easy--just across the street and a little ways up the road for direct access. We would absolutely recommend this property to friends and family!

  We had the best time we have ever had at the beach. We had the beach to ourselves during the week and our girls(dogs) loved it at the beach, the food in Folly Beach was amazing( Lost Dog Cafe, Folly Beach Crab Shack, Bubba Gumps in Charleston). It is a ten minute drive to down town Charleston and the historic district, shopping and site seeing. Would highly recommend this place for a couple or two.

  We really enjoyed our week at this lovely cottage. All amenities are included. The best mattress, I have ever slept on away from home. Close to the beach and off the beaten path. Very nice will definitely stay there again!

  We really enjoyed our holiday vacation at this sweet beach house. Although compact it has been professionally decorated and painted and has great modern design. It is very clean and well stocked and we found every item for cooking / beach living had been provided. The set back from the road and the small marsh behind give the property some nice privacy that is unusual at Folly. The beds were incredibly comfortable! I highly recommend this for a couple or a small family. Thanks for a great vacation!

  We decided to go the beach for Thanksgiving. My daughter joined us as well. This vacation home is a great find! Sooo close to the beach! Thankfully our little dog was allowed to come with us and he enjoyed the ocean as well. We had great weather (77) and the house was very clean and it had everything we needed. Def come back again!

  My husband and I rented this home in Oct 2011, along with our dog and son who drove up from FL to stay a couple days with us. We were completely satisfied with everything. The home is well maintained, clean, and comfy. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you would want or need for your stay. The pillows and beds were very comfy.. The check in/out was very smooth with complete instructions given via email from the owner, Marty, who was very helpful and friendly. The beach access is just a five minute walk from the house. It probably is very cool in the summer heat with the shade trees around the house. Huge, covered, wraparound deck to relax and enjoy listening to the ocean. It sits back from the road a bit, which is very nice. The yard and driveway are pretty big. Outdoor shower area was very nice! Folly Beach itself, is small and nice with a few local shops and restaurants. It is just minutes from Charleston and James Island. Bike, walk, and golfcart friendly. There is a local grocer with everything you may need, but of course a little pricey. But then, it is only a short drive to a bigger grocery store, but then convenience is nice too.The fishing pier in Folly is awesome. The Folly Beach Crab Shack has the best seafood, although all the other local restaurants were just as great we just seemed to keep going back to the Crab Shack! (Fried shrimp and flounder! Bacon wrapped Crab stuffed shrimp! Crab & Artichoke dip! ...big, fresh, local shrimp) Locals are very friendly. I don't know (yet) how crazy the summer months get with tourists but our "Charleston Scouting vacation" in October was awesome...(we are looking to move into the Charleston area soon.).. I would definitely recommend this rental to everyone! Thanks so much, Marty!

  We rented this place and the refrigerator died. The Owner lives in Atlanta, so is virtually no help in fixing problems. He has no one locally to help maintain the property or come over. We had to put our vacation on hold to sit around and wait for the delivery and installation of the new one. So we lost one whole day to do something else! We had to go for 3-4 days without a refrigerator (by the time he ordered it and it could be delivered) and had to use coolers and ice (that we had to buy) until the ref. came. We were offered no thanks and he would not give us any refund on our monies we put out. He only offered us a discount on rentying it again. Like we would ever consider that! He was very rude and unaccomodating after our visit where we arranged and helped him out! The light switches are in the most bizzare locations. It took us a long time to try and figure out how to control theses. Labeling of the switches would have been great! It is listed that there is a TV in a bedroom. Oh, it is there-----it just isn't hooked up and it did not work. The listed DVD player also did not work. There is virtually no lighting in the area with the sofa, so if you wanted to read something at night, that was virtually impossible. The beach was great though!

  Owner response: The guest rented the house from Sat to Sat. They called on Sunday evening and reported they are having problems with the refrigerator. I called Lowes immediately and placed an order for a new one. Lowe's said it would be delivered on Tuesday. I called back the guest and advised and they said ok. The refrigerator arrived on time on Tuesday. After the guest had left then they decided to ask for compensation. I said I would give them $250 toward their next stay. They said they are never going to be in the area again and declined the compensation. I always go out of my way for guests. i have multiple people on the Folly to assist in maintenance and take care of the house extremely well. All TV's have recently been replaced.

  I could not have been more pleased. Beach houses can be hard to maintain but this one was very clean and maintained well. The beds were comfortable and clean. A short walk to the beach & everybody was happy - especially the dog! This will be my regular stay in Folly if it is available! Thanks so much for such a great place.
