I am always skeptical when booking condos online that I have never seen but I was pleasantly surprised when we got there. The condo was immaculate with attention to detail that gave it character. They had everything available that you could want to make your vacation truly amazing. The property staff were excellent and extremely helpful. Mike, the maintenance manager, went above and beyond duty. I would definitely recommend this unit to family and friends. The price is unbeatable and you get much more than you pay for. The description of the property the owner provides is accurate. The place is adequately furnished and kept. The property is kept clean and is relaxing. Regardless of where you stay on the island, you will have to drive if you go on excursions, so the location is decent. You can walk to Hideaway Beach from the condo, and there is *excellent* snorkeling there. There is also a very nice pool and jacuzzi at the condo. The cold water in the showers didn't work for 2 days when we arrived -- we only had scalding-hot water. The owners had it fixed, but it was still kinda a bummer. The kitchen was nicely furnished -- but be careful w/ the knives, as they could use a good sharpening. There is a high-efficiency washer/dryer in the rental, although we weren't quite sure how well the washer cleaned...(?) This island is so beautiful, I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Hawaii. I would also tell them to consider renting this unit, since it was very economical compared to hotels. I did think the owners provided timely and honest customer service and would not hesitate to do business with them again.

What a FABulous Honeymoon we had at this Beautiful condo, and what a PERFECT way to start our life together. Lynne and Dennis thought of and provided everything we might desire! Beautifully furnished and in a great location with a shopping center near by and 20 minutes from the famous (or infamous) Kalalau Valley Trail. There is no beach access from the condo complex, but best north shore beaches are just 5-10 mins away by car. We will definetely consider coming back! It felt like home. The condo has all the little gadgets you will ever need around the house, as well coolers/boogie boards/beach chairs for outside fun.

Our family had a great time in Kauai. We loved staying in such a beautiful, clean condo. It was quiet and peaceful with a view of the ocean and pool. We found having the extra beach towels, boogie boards, chairs and coolers a plus. We used them every day. We cooked breakfast every morning and made picnic lunches for each day. It was great to have a kitchen with all the amenities. We managed to do a lot in 5 days....snorkeling, boogie boarding, hiking, kayaking, and just relaxing. We ate in Hanelai every night at restaurants which Lynne and Dennis recommended. Our favorite was the Thai Nui.......entertainment, Mai tai's and great food. We would definitely recommend Lynne and Dennis's condo to anyone.

March in Kauai

I chose this condo for my husband and I to stay in, based on all of the reviews that I had read from previous experiences......the amount of positive feedback was all I needed....and were they right!!! We arrived the evening to find out that the there was a Tsnuami warning....not sure what to do we received a call from Lynne first thing in the morning to make sure we were ok and what to do, as well as to assure us that we were in one of the safest places to be on the island. It's one thing to stay at a nice resort but to get all the comforts of home...and then some, as well as the personal touch of making sure that you are safe and sound goes above and beyond. I will always choose this condo when I travel to Kauai....the upgrades are great.....the kitchen is gorgeous although we did not use it much, the bedrooms/bath were great and very roomy as well. The view from the porch was spectacular, sitting out there to watch the whales at sunset and sunrise! I am so glad that I choose this condo and had the opportunity to meet the owners....I felt like I was at home!

Romantic Honeymoon!

As Honeymooners, my husband and I were looking for a beautiful, first-class, private condo, and we are so happy we chose this home! The pictures on the website are beautiful, but the condo is even more beautiful than the photos! The view is incredible, the amenities are first-class, and the beds were so comfy... We had such a wonderful time, and we can't wait to return!!

The Complete Vacation Spot!

If you are a first timer on the island of Kaua'i, make your vacation plans right here...at the Ali'i Kai II. If you are easily swoon by pictures...The owners put no fillers, photoshop or build up this beautiful condo. Actually, its more beautiful than the pictures! Our stay for two couples was more than adequate. Once we arrived, we were floored by the upgraded amenities, space and the little touches that make this place, the only place i'll stay in Kauai! We appreciated the subtle touches that only owners provided. You want a nice margarita, blender check! You want a fresh cup of coffee, brewing station check! A library of DVDs for a quiet night in, check! You want to play music that goes with the view, check! Check, check, check!! You are covered! We couldn't stop raving throughout our entire trip how the owners have it all covered. You will be happy you stayed here! We appreciated the location of the condo, ideal place near beaches, golf courses, a grocery store, and quiet enough to come back to after a long day out cruising the island, to sit on the lanai and relax! Beautiful view of ocean, wonderful location of windows to get hit by the island breeze, complete kitchen with everything, romantic candles, ceiling fan a plus during the evening and use of the washer/dryer. But lastly, we especially loved the personal touch when the owner called us on our last day, checked in on us during "Hurricane Felicia" to tell us we were more than welcomed to stay a little longer if the weather permitted us from going to the airport. *Fortunately, the hurricane missed us, and we made it home safely.* Those are the little things that made our stay at Ali'i Kai II....worthwhile! We plan to return to the garden isle only to stay here again...because we felt like it was our home. Thanks to the Parkers' for providing such a perfect getaway for your guests!

Lovely property with exceptional service!

We stayed in this lovely condo for 4 days in early August. We were very pleased with the quality and comfort it offered, as well the Princeville area features. The owners put a lot of attention into maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetics of the property, something you are not always guaranteed in a hotel, however upscale. We felt very at home! We found the northern parts to be the loveliest in Kauai, with its lush, verdant landscapes and breathtaking vistas. Princeville is proximal to the charming town of Hanalei and the gorgeous Napali coast - an absolute must-see. We also loved that the condo was adjacent to one of the most magnificent golf courses, as well as a great spa and fitness center. Perhaps the best advantage of this condo is the exceptional attention and concern provided by the owners. They were terrific about responding promptly to any questions we had about the property and the area, and did everything possible to make our stay relaxing and pleasurable. Thank you!!

Amazing vacation spot!

We were here from July 4-11th, 2009. The 'home' is even better than the pictures represent. The owners thought of everything...and then some more. The furnishings and amenities are all up-scale. The location is perfect for all North Shore activities. Even though the home is not beachfront, it is a short walk to view the sunset at cliff-side/ocean-side. We we able to take a walk to Queens Bath area. There are many, many beaches within a short driving distance. There are restaurants and shopping nearby in Princeville. Evenings on the lanai were quiet and perfect. Cooling off in the pool at the end of the day was wonderful. Jodi, who is the activities director, is so warm and friendly. She gives great advice during her scheduled presentation, along with from her 'desk' in the building next door. We plan on coming back again for sure!

Very affordable with lots of room in an much above average condition 2BR condo. Lovely pool with great ocean view from the lanai. Hardly any neighbours to mingle with during our stay We much appreciated the ceiling fans versus the traditional air conditioning. Totally self contained for cooking, relaxing, entertaining, clothes washing etc. THANKS for not charging extra for the parking! Accessible to everything necessary for a great week!

What a comfortable place to stay. A real home-away-from-home. The beds are so comfy, and the kitchen has everything you need. An upscale experience from the moment you walk in. I particularly liked the lanai. We saw cruise ships go by and an occasional whale made an appearance! We were able to barbecue and enjoy the lovely pool area. Great location, and lots of fun memories!

Our family enjoyed the condo immensely! Granted, we were on Kauai so we did not spend tons of time IN the condo, but whenever we were there, it was great. The pool and hot tub area is nice and our kids enjoyed swimming there. The kitchen and bathrooms have all been remodeled and everything worked nicely. The washer and dryer were used regularly and worked well. We had the windows open and the cross-breezes were fabulous! We must have seen 10+ rainbows from our lanai. Our family was very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful

Our family of 3 spent 4 days in this unit - the condo was beautiful. It had everything that you could possibly think of plus it was very spacious. We spent our 4 days visiting all of the local beachs and hiking. The location of the condo made it so easy to get "'too all of the special places like Tunnels Beach, Queens Bath or the beginning of the Kaulalau Trail. Parking is limited at these place, but since we were so close it was easy to get there early. We actually hiked on the Kaulalau Trail twice. The first time to the Hanakapi'ai Beach - the second time to the Hanakapi'ai Falls. If you like hiking it was really beautiful. You can swim in the pool below the water falls, but not at the beach. After our busy days it was really nice to return home to H8 to sit on the deck with a glass of wine and watch the evening strollers. We barbequed every night. The BBQ area and swimming pool are very nice. It's a good place to talk with other people who have been there longer. They can give you tips on where to snorkel or where to buy fresh seafood (the fish market is behind the Blue Dolphin Restaurant in Hana Lei.) We will certainly go back again and refer this unit to our friends! A word of caution for Hawaii - when they tell you to stay out of the water due to high surf - they mean it! 4 tourists drowned while we were there. These people went to the same beaches we did, but did not heed the warnings. It is perfectly safe as long as you pay attention to the signs or simply ask the locals.
