The Boathouse on Lake Coeur d'Alene is near historic Harrison on a large private estate, our family built this charming structure in 1957 as storage for wooden boats. In 1999 we transformed the Boathouse into a comfortable cabin with breathtaking views of the lake from every room. This secluded lakeside beach house has easy car and boat access, with modern amenities and everything you need to have a great summer vacation.
The Boathouse is right on the lakeshore, so you can enjoy swimming, fishing, and boating from the private beach and dock. Cruise down the St Joe River to St. Maries or play one of several world class golf courses within an easy drive. Coeur d’Alene and all its amenities are a scenic 38 mile drive away (15 miles by water.)
From nearby Harrison you can catch the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, 77 miles of dedicated bike trail for a smooth scenic ride completely free of cars. Travelling northward by car or boat you can explore the river valley up to Cataldo and beyond, or head south and east to discover the unique small towns and rolling landscapes of the Idaho panhandle.
The Boathouse sleeps six adults. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the larger bedroom has a queen bed and a twin sized bunkbed. Both bedrooms have closets and dressers so you don't have to dress out of your suitcase. Generous windows and a sliding door in each bedroom provide plenty of light, with views of the lake and forest, as well as private access to the outside. The larger bedroom has ample space for a table that often becomes the site for kids' epic monopoly games. We supply sheets, pillows and blankets. There are lots of places in the Boathouse for kids to flop down with sleeping bags on the carpeted floors. |
