Carolina Beach is nice clean beach with a select few nearby places to eat. If you go, be sure to check out the Shucking Oyster bar, the shrimp was the best I have ever had. It gets very crowded as the locals attend regularly. Also, Vinney's is great place with the best pizza ever - wood fired oven pizza. The beach was not crowded the rental was great, but note, it is on the third floor so good exercise to get there.

The owner of this property was very thorough and clear in providing easy check-in, wifi connection information, parking, keys, etc. One small detail that we didn't realize is that the unit is across the parking lot from the beach, not directly on the beach, however there is a clear, full view from the balcony and the master bedroom. For the price you get a great value. It is nicely updated, open floor plan living and dining and a balcony large enough to work or dine on. Our son is 11 and he was most pleased with the beach access. It is nice to not have to go to a public access, there is a private locked gate out to the beach. There are several flights of open stairs, a good work out for anyone. All the beach items you might need including boogie boards are there. The owner has told us that we should have had access to more than 6-10 channels via the basic cable service provided by the condo and he's checking into that. The flat screen TV in the living room, DVD selection and wifi make it possible to have nice evening times enjoying a movie. We brought along a wii and our son enjoyed playing games on the older TV in the master bedroom and could stream movies with our netflix membership. The kitchen works well and most of the pots one would need are there. We cooked daily and appreciated having this option. There are a number of good local restaurants close by. Easy drive to Ft. Fisher and aquarium. Overall it was a nice spring break experience for our family of 3.

Wonderful location and view. Very comfortable, all the amenities were much appreciated! We walked to the Tiki bar, Board Walk, and my new favorite watering hole, the Fat Pelican! Nailed great weather in March too. We will be back, hopefully sooner than later. Thank you again!

This was a wonderful place for a winter get-away. Good view and comfortable surroundings. Had the priviledge of meeting the owners--a lovely gracious couple! We'll certainly recommend this place to others.

Great visit during the quieter time of year. Weather in the 60s and sunny. Nice to walk out the unit right onto the beach. Watched dolphins swim by while having breakfast on the balcony. Property had everything we needed. Restaurant across the street, Uncle Vinnie's was excellent and easy for a salad and pizza. The NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher is close by and a nice break from the beach. Make sure you see the albino alligator (only 50 in the world!), the seahorses, and the sharks that swim right up to the glass where you are standing. Easy drive over to historic Wilmington where we took a walk and visited a restaurant. This property was comfortable and made for a nice break from our busy lives. I'm sure this property is great in the summer but we wouldn't hesitate to visit Carolina Beach again in the spring or fall.

Our stay in the condo was super. Large clean rooms, nice kitchen, and a wonderful view. Everything you need is right there for you. I can not wait for our next stay. Michael was wonderful to lease from. He actually did more than he promised. We would recomend this condo without hesitation. Great trip

We had a great time in Carolina Beach. The appt was perfect. Right on the beach are well equipped. Nice quiet complex with good pools. A pleasant walk along the beach to the boardwalk with nice entertainment and great Donuts at Brits. A terrific week overall. We would 100% return and stay in the same appt.

My husband & I recently stayed in this Condo with our two teenage daughters. It was very clean, with plenty of room! Kitchen was well stocked with appliances so eatting in way very easy! The view from the balcony was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting out there in the evenings and in the mornings! There was a very good pizza place right across the street & a nice "Lake" Park that was in walking distance for exercise, or paddle boating.A grocery store was just a short drive, very convienent! The beach was very enjoyable, water was so calm & clear! 2 pools a big plus! We had a air conditioning problem 1 night, the owner was very easy to reach and had the problem fixed the next morning! We would recommend this Condo to our friends, the only drawback was the many stairs to go up & down, as this could be difficult for elderly or families with toddler children!

A Great Vacation Spot

We really enjoyed the place. The view from both sides was amazing, The balcony was like having another room. We loved the beach and everything that we needed for it was already there. We cooked some and went out some. Th kids loved the donuts from Britts which we had for breakfast about every other day. We liked Jack Mackrels and Mama Mias. We visited the aquarium, the amusement park, and the Cape Fear River tour. We just spent most of our time on the beach or at the pool. The only thing better than the pictures is seeing it for yourself.

Delightful condo! Clean, pretty, lovely view! Nice pools...empty beach with beautiful weather...visited tiki bar close by, played board games on spacious table, sipped coffee on balcony overlooking ocean, had a delicious fun dinner at Sea Witch restaurant, walked around lovely lake close by after big breakfast at Kate's, and even caught some of the royal wedding on the wonderful big flat screen tv. Kitchen, beds, laundry..all nice! Wish we had time to boat around lake and rent bikes!

This condo is clean, spacious and well maintained! Great view of the ocean and you can relax on the deck or right on the beach just yards away from the condo. Owner was very responsive to questions and rental instructions were easy to follow. Private beach access means no crowds! You have to go to Kate's Restaurant for one of the best breakfast around! This was a peaceful and relaxing stay! We highly recommend this condo!

I recently stayed at this condo for a get away and group meeting. It was the perfect setting to relax and plenty of room for our meeting. The view of the ocean and quiet setting allowed my team to clear their minds of business and dream about the possibilities for our organization. With lots of restaurants near by and a grocery store close our eating options were wide open. We had a very successful trip. Thanks!

I highly recommend this condo. We had a great time and the condo is in a very convenient location. The setup is great for a small family and came with everything we needed. The washer & dryer is a big plus. Make sure you take the ferry to the islands and don't miss out on Britt's Donuts. They are addicting.

This was my first rental of a beach property for more than an overnight stay. It was like having a 'home away from home' at the beach. The unit was clean, spacious and well maintained. The owner was helpful and quite responsive to my inquiries and questions. I enjoyed being able to see the ocean from the deck and the immediate access to the beach. I would definitley consider renting again.

My family just came back from this condo today, and it was one of the best places we have been to. This is a great place with great ocean views. The Tiki Bar was amazing, and all the food in Carolina Beach is amazing. The Deck House and Mamma Mia's are the best.

We enjoyed our stay. Nearby park had a band and lots of free activities for both young and old. Everything was clean and neat. I appreaciated the promptness of the owner in both taking my reservation and returning my deposit. I would recommend the Aquarium at Ft. Fisher if you have kids.

This was an enjoyable week for my family in a well-maintained and comfortable condo close to everything. The balcony is particularly nice as it is large and has a pretty high-top table with comfy chairs. The condo had everything we needed. One of our favorite things to do was walk to the nearby Tiki Bar, which was always hopping and featuring daily drink specials. We ate at some great restaurants, including Michael's, El Zarape and Deck House. The trails at Carolina Beach State Park provided a fun way to get some walking in, and traveling on the ferry to go back and forth to Southport to visit friends was inexpensive and effortless. Our vacation was wonderful, and we plan to return to Carolina Beach again and again. We would choose this condo again; the owner was extremely accommodating and made the transaction a breeze.

Carefree on Carolina Beach!

My family just returned from renting this property on Carolina Beach. Everything that is written here is true, and the property was perfect for our family of four. We have rented many properties over the past ten years, and this one was terrific. The two bathrooms were great, and the view from the balcony was superb. The owner was helpful, quick to respond to my initial inquiry, and helpful in our questions about the area. Our biggest decisions were: the beach, or the pool? Everyone in the area was very friendly. Our two teenage boys loved the surf, wave jumping, bocce ball on the sand, and floating in the pool. Very relaxing, and if we are able to come to the area again, we would definitely rent this condo again.

This trip was one of the most relaxing trips we have taken and easy! Condo was well equipped, clean and nicely decorated. Just steps to the beach with a pool in between. The owners make everything so easy with check-in and check-out. Very good communicators. Was a pleasure to rent from them. Beach was beautiful and centrally located to everything. We enjoyed our week to the fullest. We loved this little town.

Just returned from a short week. Very nice, clean condo. Pics and description represent well. Owner appears to take pride in operating honestly. Good collection of movies, decent cable. Two TVs meant no fighting between kids and adults. Great location, short easy walk or bike to most of Carolina Beach businesses. Well maintained complex. Very nice beach, which is why we go, right?

We spent a week here in early March, 2009. The place has recently been re-carpeted, nicely appointed, and offers a great view of the beach. Great time of year to walk the beach in peace! Restaurants in the area aren't as busy as in the summer, so the service is friendly, more relaxed.

Our family met at the condo; we came from Michigan, Arkansas, North Carolina & Virginia. The place was great, especially the sunrises over the Atlantic and watching the dolphins feeding. The beds were comfortable & it was really convenient to have a washer/dryer & fully equipped kitchen. We would definitely stay here again if time/opportunity allowed.

We stayed the first week of August and had a great time. The condo is great, the beds are very comfortable. If you go, drive to Fort Fisher at the end of the island, go to Wilmington and see the ghost walk and do the dinner on the Hennrietta 3. The aquariam was incredible also. ENJOY!!!

What a great week at the beach!!! The condo is just as great as it looks in the photos. We found the condo very clean and attractive. The kitchen was fully equipped. Linens were fresh. The deck provided a great view of the ocean. The covered parking kept the car cool. The complex was well maintained and convenient. Definitely would stay here again!!!
