The Blue Crab is a 2 story, 3 bedroom 2 .5 bath home sporting Caribbean island colors galore. A screened lanai joins the new modern fully equipped kitchen with the outdoors. In the evening relax in an adirondak in the screened lanai on the front of the home facing the ocean or get real close to the sun on the 2 open sun decks. The large open floor plan features a spacious first floor master suite with a king bed, large walk in closet, his and her vanities ,massaging shower system, and corner whirlpool tub.The Blue Crab has a fully equipped modern kitchen and dining tables to accommodate six both indoors and out. The second floor has 2 bedrooms, queen and twin beds, a full bath, loft and sun deck.
Don Pedro island is accessible by ferry (additional fee required) or by boat. There are NO highrises or crowds. Enjoy a night out at the restaurant on the island famous for its delectable ribs and seafood. Most people travel around the island by golfcart (rental can be arranged). Enjoy old Florida living with all the new modern conveniences at its best!

Why the Owner Chose Don Pedro Island
Leslie and I owned a condominium on Palm Island Resort for years. We decided to build our own home on Don Pedro Island in late 2004. Although we enjoyed to resort, we find our home to be a private, relaxing get-away where we can spend time with each other and our entire family.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Leslie and I have 5 grandsons who are active little fisherman and love the pool and ocean. We truly enjoy relaxing with our families, reading books on the sandy beach, taking a "dip" in the refreshing pool, kayaking in the lagoon or simply going to bed at night hearing the crashing of the waves. There is simply no better vacation.

When my wife and I visited Don Pedro Island we knew it was the most beautiful, secluded island in Florida. As a home builder, I understand the needs and wants of people. Wow -- what a vacation. Our family of 5 truly enjoyed this beautiful home and the pristine beach. Everyday was a walk in paradise. The water was perfect, shelling was extraordinary and shark's teeth were there for the picking. We had some great fossilized finds! It's hot in August in Florida but the beach breeze kept us comfortable. The pool was a very nice change to take a break from the beach. The Blue Crab is comfortable, cozy and inviting with all the comforts of home. We are already planning our next visit. Our two teenage sons enjoyed everyday. The wireless internet was a big help too - easy to use and reliable! I would highly recommend the island and this home for your next vacation.

My family of 5 has been visiting Palm Island/Don Pedro Island for 15 years. This is the best home in which we have stayed. It is new, beautifully decorated and the location is great. It is private and super close to the beach and pool. We were there during the height of the tourist season and we had the beach to ourselves! Our friends like the Disney scene but give us Old Florida paradise any day!

I want to thank you for letting us use your beautiful home. We had a great stay! The weather was a liitle cold for a few days but that didn't stop the kids from getting me into the pool. It was all I could do to get them out of the water. We had a great time in the golf cart and on the beach building sandcastles and jumping in the waves. It was a special vacation for us.

We couldn't have been happier with our choice of destination and rental property. Blue Crab is an amazing house and we can't wait for another opportunity to stay there again next year. Palm Island is, like always, a dream location. The kids enjoyed the beach and water all the time we were there. Found an incredible amount of very amazing shells and a few shark's teeth. Not our first time on thr island(and definitely not our last) but Blue Crab is the nicest house we have stayed in. Kudos to the home owner/builder, great layout and quality construction.

My family and I stayed in the Blue Crab about this time last year and I can't say enough about how beautiful and accommodating it was. We just got back from a week at Little Gasparillia Island and I appreciate the Blue Crab even more. The house is so open and roomy and has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. We ate out on the screened in porch every night and woke to the singing of a beautiful bird nesting in the trees. My daughter even recorded its song on her cell phone as a ring tone. The owners of this house were so nice. They even sent me a magazine article published about the island. Joe made the process painless. The pictures of the house are nice but it is even more beautiful when you actually get there. My grandchildren and I really enjoyed having a pool right across the street. The beach is awesome and the shelling was great. There are sharks teeth for the taking and we found sand dollars too! We saw manatee swimming in the ocean and my kids went fishing in the bay almost every night. I wish we had chosen it again this year. Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of sharing your home. Our family of 5 had a wonderful vacation at the Bue Crab House on Don Pedro Island! The house was painted in pretty, happy colors and decorated very tatefully. It has several porches where we built puzzles and read. Beach access is just across the quiet street . We often felt that we had the whole island to ourselves! We found many sharks teeth and great shells. Also had a great time riding the waves! Behind the house is a dock and canal. There we spied starfish and crabs. We caught fish from the dock. It was a wonderful time for the family to bond in a beautiful setting.
