The villa La Roc Bruyere is set in the middle of a beautiful garden with pine, olive, apricot, and cherry trees, in a quiet residential area, a lovely walk (700 m) away from the little known and yet gorgeous medieval village of Saint Saturnin les Apt, in the Parc Regional du Luberon.
The house is bright, air conditioned, with all the comforts and amenities. You could just rest and enjoy the swimming pool, fitted with jet stream and balneotherapy features, after leisurely meals in the shade of the patio's tree or on the large, covered terrasse.
Or you could enjoy all that the area has to offer - Michelin starred restaurants, village markets every day of the week, sightseeing around Luberon and Provence, antique shopping in Isle sur Sorgue, the French capital of antiques, wine tasting, open-air opera, concerts and theater, walks in the 120,000 ha of the Luberon Park, etc.
La Roc Bruyere is also a paradise for children : the swimming pool is smack in the middle of the property, and protected from wind by a low wall. We leave some floaters for them to play. And there are plenty of children's books in their room. Of course, the garden is big enough for them to run around. Finally, the area offers many activities that our own children partake in and enjoy year after year : horseback riding, sailing or windsurfing on the very pretty lake a couple of kms from the house. There is a beautiful playground close to the lake, a lovely health walk around it, and finally, the possibility of mountain biking.
And of course, for the sports minded, there are miles and miles of hikes in the Parc Regional du Luberon.
The house is well equiped with umbrealla bed for a baby, baby chair, plastic glasses, plates and spoons, forks, etc.

Why the Owner Chose St. Saturnin-Les-Apt
We wanted a place in a beautiful, sunny location, in a quiet area, but not too isolated, and it had to be within easy reach of an airport. We are a UN expat family, and we travel a lot : it's important for our children to have a place where they go back year after year, a place where we mean to retire, some day.
The Unique Benefits of this Villa
It is a little piece of heaven. Going there means relaxing by the pool, enjoying the beautiful weather, eating well (you can find fantastic olive oil at the mill in the village, excellent wine produced in the region, and of course, fresh fruits and vegetables at the market, cheese to die for, and so much more), and having access to everything we love - sports, breathtakingly beautiful nature, fragrances (we have lavender in our garden), culture (if you like theater, opera, or any type of music, there is bound to be a festival to your liking somewhere around, during the summer months but not only), fabulous ice-creams at Isabella in Isle-sur-Sorgue. But most of all. Peace and quiet. The village of Saint Saturnin les Apt offers the best of both worlds. It is beautiful, yet relatively unknown, and a little out of the tourist path, while sitting smack in the middle of all that the region has to offer (Gordes, Roussillon, Apt, Avignon, Isle sur Sorgues, etc, are all within 20 to 45 mns driving distance). Finally, the house is functional and practical. Easy to live in. We just come with our suitcases, and, home we are. And all our renters so far have reported having felt the same way.
