Enjoy watching breathtaking sunsets from this newly remodeled 3 bedroom cottage directly on Bass lake. Enjoy fishing, off of our dock , boating on this 525 Acre all sports lake, or navigate through the outlet and sun or picnic on spacious, white, public beaches on lake Michigan.
This is an ideal location for a family vacation, water activities for all ages and plenty of recreational and dining choices in the immediate area.
Our cottage is located just 5 minutes north of scenic downtown Pentwater and only 10 minutes south of Ludington.

This house has all the comfort and charm that comes to mind when you think of a lake front cottage. Comfortable and clean, decorated with lovely antiques. Our family loves the experience of summer on a Michigan lake where we can kayak, swim, and hike in the area. We found everything we wanted on Bass Lake. The owners were welcoming and helpful. They answered questions and provided suggestions about area activities. After a day spent on the Lake Michigan beach, to which we could kayak from the house, we sat on the deck enjoying fresh fish from a local market and watched the sun set over the lake. Perfect!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

My family and I had the most enjoyable time at this cottage in July 2010 and it's the sort of place I very much hope to return to again. It was very well furnished and the chairs/sofas and deck furniture all very comfy. There are also some lovely antiques throughout the cottage. The kids played pool most nights in the 'games room' and spent all day outdoors on the lake. The lake is perfect for swimming and ideal for small children as it is shallow for quite a long distance. Sunsets were spectactular and the Bass caught in the lake was one of the tastiest fish we've ever eaten. Kayaking/rowing through the outlet channel to Lake Michigan was one of the highlights and the smoked lake trout from Bortells is a must-try! Although the owners did not live locally, they were very helpful and friendly and available by phone to answer any questions. One of the best vacations we've had in exactly the sort of place that could tempt me to move back to Michigan!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.
