Inside you can slide open the barn doors, fold away the four front doors and be truly open to nature and the lake. There are also two separate cabanas with private decks hanging over the lake.
This is a VERY pet friendly house. There a large dog run with its own doghouse and giant bay tree for shade.
The property has its own lake entrance, but don't bring a motorboat, jet ski, or motorized anything, it is not allowed. House comes with kayaks and various flotation devices. Bring your own canoes, kayaks, floating things. Highway 20 is across lake with easy access to many activities.
As to the house - enter on the colored concrete floors from the lake, straight ahead is the bathroom lined with aromatic rare white cedar. There an old claw foot tub with a separate shower. Either side of the entry you will find mango hardwood floors. Beds and computer to the left, full kitchen with espresso machine and big TV to the right. the two Cabanas hold more beds. House size with sleeping cabanas is 1000 square feet.
This Blue Lake is like a private lake - there is no easy public access. There are minimal, people on the lake itself, and with the property having over a thousand feet of lakefront and thirty acres of woods behind you, privacy is not an issue. There is one very quiet neighbor close by. Be aware that there is the drone of Hwy 20 traffic from across the lake (1/3 mile). 500 feet away separated by wooded lakefront is our other rental (VRBO 170105). Check it out.
Lake County Land Trust Rodman Slough (ten minutes), Cow Mountain Wilderness (three minutes). Clear Lakes (15 minutes), Konocti Harbor Inn for big name music (45 minutes), Casino above clear lake (15 minutes), lots of wineries, more, too! Though, right here at the house we have bald eagles, osprey, cormorants, egrets, night herons, turtles, fish, etc., etc.... |
