We are retired educators. Marie [57 years old] was a middle school and high school counselor, and Stan [63 years old] was head of the Humanities Department at the local college. Retiring on the Outer Banks near our two grown children and three small grandchildren, we have lived and worked in North Carolina for 30 years. THE SUNRISE CONDO:
Faces Diamond Head with an additional view of the ocean, mountains and golf course. A queen size wall bed is in this unit. Sleeps 2.
THE SUNSET CONDO:
Faces the city with an additional view of the mountains and a peek-a-boo view of the ocean. This unit has a queen size regular bed and a twin size sofa sleeper. Sleeps 3.
OUR WEBSITE:
Both units are pictured in this add. We also have a timeshare in Hawaii that rents from Saturday to Saturday at any time. The calendar attached to this site gives dates that at least one of our units is available. Our website is attached to this listing. Why the Owner Chose Fairway Villa
We began traveling to Hawaii right after retirement. We went to all the islands for extended stays and decided we loved Oahu due to all of opportunities for seeing great classical music concerts. We visited all of islands staying two weeks on each. Our last island was Oahu and we were unsure about being in a city environment in Paradise. However, we quickly learned that you can have it all on Oahu. Lots of remote beaches...and yet a vibrant city at night.
We began staying in different buildings and loved the Fairway Villa...After one stay there, the others just did not feel like home to us. The units that we rented were not as clean as we like nor were they always on a high floor with great views. We decided that we wanted our own place so we could use it every year when we went back to the island.
The Unique Benefits at this Studio
There are so many things that sold us on this building: The location is wonderful. It is in the center of everything and right at the part of the beach with the Duke Statue. We also loved the roof top. Even though a few other buildings have a roof top, they are not as large, or as quiet. We wanted a full kitchen...not an under the counter refrigerator or a cook top. We wanted a washer/dryer in the unit, a lanai with rails not a brick enclosure. We wanted a view. We also like the keyed entry, parking stall, the friendly staff, and the festive ambiance of the building. This building always felt like home from our very first stay.
Public fitness center. Look out over Waikiki beach while you exercise
The most famous section of the Waikiki Beach is right in front of your condo..... This is the location of the Duke Statue, Surfing Central, and where open air concerts and movies on the beach are happening

Stan and I met at Kent State University and it was love at first site!! We have been married for over 40 years. Stan grew up in Boston and worked as head of the Humanities department at the community college. I grew up on a farm in Ohio and worked as a high school counselor. We have two grown children and six grandchildren under the age of six. We have retired on the Outer Banks of North Carolina
