Spacious and modern. Built in 1999, this is an updated version of the South Padre Island beach house. This is an unpretentious and comfortable family-style home away from home for you next stay on South Padre Island. All well-behaved and well cared for pets are welcome.
A great way to avoid the hustle and commotion of a large Condo complex, a beach house rental offers you a pleasant, more private place to stay while enjoying your vacation. Fully equipped with a complete kitchen, all pots/pans/dishes/silverware, full-size appliances, dishwasher, a private washer and dryer in your unit, cable TV with a DVD/VCR player and cable TV in both of the large bedrooms. Both of the bathrooms have tubs and showers.
At approximately 1200 square feet, this beach house unit can accommodate up to 10 people with two queen beds, two double beds and a sofa sleeper. (Both units can be rented together for groups of up to 20.) This duplex is located in a neighborhood, and is about 3/4 block from the Gulf of Mexico.

This property was nicely appointed and very clean. The owners were attentive. Given the area, it was fairly priced. At most, it's one-and-a-half block from the beach (five minutes walk at most). While being clean, there are elements that reveal that it has been used such as a large chip in the tub, the ceiling fan in one bedroom was loud - the owner came out and adjusted it but it starting making noise again and we gave up using it, not that we needed it, there were no cooling problems. All the towels smelled fresh and seemed thoroughly cleaned as did the provided kitchen equipment (I expected we would not really have cheap equipment). Our dogs were as happy here as we were. The owners sat down at the time of arrival and gave us an introduction to the island and eating establishments, etc. the value to price ratio was perfect. It was a very good experience all the way around and we would certainly rent this property again. From Rowlett, TX.

This property was a great overall value. I was in the upstairs unit. Each unit actually sleeps 10 people. There is a pull-out in the living room. It is a comfortable walk from the beach, but we usually went by car. There were also restaurants within walking distance. Great place to bring a bicycle if you are in to that. There was a small ant problem in the kitchen and the dryer did not dry very well. If you go when they are still doing fireworks in the bay, you can't really see them from the property. There is a hotel that blocks the view. However, everyone in my party had a good time and was happy with the unit.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
