Generations of my family have been coming to the shore at Stone Harbor for 60+ years. 101st Street is basically the center of the Stone Harbor universe, regardless of your focus (town, beach, playgrounds, good restaurants, etc.) Not only is this location perfect - the house itself is lovely, well appointed and ideal for serving as "home base" right off the beach. We had folks from 72 (and blind) to less than 2 years old - and without exception, all had the perfect accomodations in this home! Homeowner neighbors are super friendly and very comfortable with us renters for the week! Only issue we have is that Stone Harbor is so far away from Colorado. We'll be back - if/when the opportunity presents itself!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.

Really a nice property, with a great location. Beautiful,beach, property all as advertised. Close to "town" (such as it is); good for biking, walking etc. Very comfortable, lots of living space. Well-maintained, and owner seems interested in making upgrades as needed. Prompt return of security deposit. Owner responsive to tenant needs. Kitchen good, but not great; outdoor rear deck lovely, furniture comfortable. Master bedroom very spacious and pleasant. Note outdoor shower, a plus of beach junkies. Not more than 25 steps to the beach, covered pavilion at the end of the street would be welcome for seniors.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
Owner response: A vacation is a special time for families. Its a time when they all get together without majior distractions . I remember my vacations at the beach ,and how we all came together. This vacation home was one of the best places we have ever stayed in over 50 years of coming to Stone Harbor. At times we have been limited to finding rentals that can accomodate my mother with limited mobility. This location was so convenient for her to get to the beach pavilion and to stay entirely on the first floor with two bedrooms and bathrooms on that floor.She only needed to get up two steps into the house. Some rooms were freshly painted and all were clean and nicely decorated. I would definitely recommend this home away from home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.

PURCHASE FIRST HOME OUT OF GRADUATE SCHOOL IN 1973 AND STARTING DOING 1031 EXCHANGES IN 1976 ( PROBABLY FIRST ONE IN AVALON /STONE HARBORTO TO DO SO ) TRADING UP TO THIS HOME . PRIOR TO AGE 35 OWNED 5 HOMES ON THE ISLAND Lucky to have worked for some wonderful mentors who taught me everything. I can not imagine a better group. COLLECTED COKE BOTTLES TO HELP PAY MORTGAGES AND BUY PASTA . EVEN GAVE UP SMOKING AT LEAST 5 TIMES TO MANAGE THE BUDGET ( I NO LONGER SMOKE ) CONSIDER MYSELF VERY LUCKY AND THANKFUL FOR WHAT I HAVE -- Watching Mom enjoy the shore is really priceless Mom raised four sons after Dad died at age 40 Currently living in Valley Forge Pa --area with Laurie, Sassy ,our horse and max and guss our rescue cats.----- Visited (primarily work related ) over 30 countries -----no place to me like stone harbor
